Description

Our newly opened B&B is just a few kilometres from Genoa. The house is a little villa surrounded by greenery and by acacia trees. It is in a quiet and tranquil location. The two rooms are new and have big bathrooms, one for the exclusive use (in room), other shared Between two rooms.

Around the house there is a large garden available for guests where, if desired, it is possible to have an abbundant breakfast in the open whilst enjoying the fresh air.

The house and the rooms are ideal either for romantic getaways, away from the bustle of the city, or if you want a quiet weekend with your family after a long day as a tourist visiting the beautiful Genoa. Either way our B&B “Cà dei Frè” could be the perfect solution for you.

A good midway point between the city and the sea, that are both 12 km away.

Nearby there are two tipic restaurants, within walking distance, destination of the locals during the weekend for good food and good price.

There are no parking problems, in fact there is a large square in front of the house where one can park.

We are at your disposal for any clarification and questions you may have regarding the B&B.

The idea of opening a B&B was born from our desire to know and appreciate the hills of Genoa, their ancient paths and beautiful views.

We love all animals and since we were children we always lived in the company of dogs, cats, goats, chickens, geese etc.) Ciro e Bianca, our dogs are part of the family.

The spirit with which we manage the B&B is spontaneous and informal, much like being in a relaxed family.

Mirko is student of Architecture at University of Genoa and Federico is an accountant and football player in his spare time.

Area hills

The locality of Fontanegli is less than twenty minutes from the centre of Genoa and only 7 km from the exit of the mortorway of Genova-East (cemetery of Staglieno). It is 12-13 km from the port and the riviera.
the area is surrounded by greenery, beautiful houses and the antique seventeenth-century villas situated along the crêuze genovesi (typical narrows alleys) that run from the valley along the crest of the hills.
Within walking distance there are two typical restaurants, popular destinations of the locals at the weekends for good food at a good price.

From the highway:

Take the road towards Piacenza, continue for 7 km along the right bank of the torrent Bisagno, keep going straight on (about 15-17 minutes).

After passing some sheds/warehouses and the SO. GE. GROSS (wholesale shop) you reach a roundabout.

Continue towards Fontanegli (via G. Da Verrazzano), after some corners, on the right, there is a sign for “Osteria da Pippo”, continue in that direction.

At the first fork in the road turn left, at the second fork (after 50 m) turn right and go straight to the end of the road (dead-end) (Via Serropiano). .

You have arrived!!!!

Attention.
The street is tipical of hill and cars more large can be a little difficoult for the access, but we have come Suv (Range Rover, Bmw X5).
If you have a Cayenne or very big van, we have a parking at 300 m of B&B where is possible park your vehicle and continue by walking.

The place is unique, unfortunately difficult to reach as already mentioned by the owners due to roads that are not easy to manage, especially for drivers from the city. For the rest, I think it is a valid place during the summer. The two guys who manage the B&B Cà dei Fré are very helpful in every way. Thank you.

We stayed at this property and had a great time! Federico and his mother are lovely people! Spacious and colorful rooms, the bathroom has a large and very pleasant shower. The view is beautiful and the animals present, Leo the playful little dog, the kittens, the geese, the peacocks, Claretta the white donkey, the rooster, etc. make everything very playful and nice. It's a spectacle to see the stars at night. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Very pleasant B&B. Small family structure that makes you feel "at home". There is everything you need for a pleasant stay. The view of the hill is relaxing. The pool is very enjoyable and appreciated: Nature lovers, you can go there with confidence! The owners are warm. And if you want to eat a stone's throw from the structure, go to "Paulin"! You will eat very well! PS: to get to the B&B, get yourself a not too big car. The roads are tiny in this wonderful valley..

Atmosphere, location, friendliness, professionalism, and kindness provide the framework for a special place. Much more than a simple B&B, a corner of Liguria sought and created with attention to detail, from cleanliness to the originality of the majolica interiors and exteriors. The outdoor pool is noteworthy, clean and organized with a shower, umbrellas, and sunbeds (for the exclusive use of guests) set on a cool English lawn. The breakfast is exquisite and plentiful. The welcoming spirit completes this enchanting corner of paradise thanks to the simplicity and friendliness of Federico and Mirko, always available and attentive to making guests feel at ease. No difficulty in reaching the place, a narrow road, but like all Ligurian roads, and then trust me, it's really worth it! Nearby there are also two very good and characteristic local trattorias. Cà dei Fré among the best B&Bs guaranteed!

B&B Cà dei Fré is very nice, located in a very tranquil area even though it's close to a huge city (Genova). The rooms are very beautiful, the family is very friendly. We had a real enjoyable stay there. To get there, you have to know how to drive a car because the streets are very narrow but once you have arrived.. peace and rest and tranquility is what you will find there.

Very beautiful structure, with an outdoor garden and swimming pool, immersed in greenery. Everything you need to relax. In this B&B nothing is missing, including two excellent restaurants reachable on foot. The score of 7 for the location refers exclusively to the somewhat narrow and steep road to get there, but you are rewarded by the greenery and tranquility. Excellent cleanliness.

We only stopped for two days waiting for our departure for our cruise and considering that coinciding with our stay, the boat show took place in Genoa and surroundings, there was nowhere to sleep except at exorbitant prices (even dives with zero stars). So we were really lucky to find such a beautiful and welcoming place, a brand new villa surrounded by greenery with a pool and above all at a truly competitive price! What more can we ask for? We will return.
