Description

The "Opéra B&B" is located in the heart of Genoa in front of "Carlo Felice" Theatre, just 100 metres from "Palazzo Ducale" and within walking distance (3 min.) from the Expò - Porto Antico Area and the "Acquario".

It is 5 minutes walk from Brignole and Principe railstations, in front of De Ferrari metro stop and only just 15 minutes away from airport by shuttle-bus service.

The B&B is fully independent from the main house. Each room has its own bathroom, telephone facilities and air-conditioned system. Newspapers, broadband internet and e-mail access is also provided, along with breakfast.

This B&B has only no smoking rooms.

I am interested in people, talking to them, meeting those who are very different from me. That's why I opened my B&B in 2005. Since then, I have made a lot of friends.

Genoa is my city and I like to show it to others. But the real Genoa, the one you don't find in books or guides.

I offer my hospitality trying to ensure my clients a pleasant place to stay, a very high quality of sleep, a clean environment in the very center of Genoa.

PS: During this "Covid-19" period, it is mandatory to provide a "breakfast only with packaged products". For this reason, I prefer to discount 5 Euro per person from the room price and avoid a "sad breakfast".

It is the second time I am a guest of Giovanni, and everything went very well. The central location, a stone's throw from the Ducal Palace, is really convenient. The property is simple but clean and comfortable for a few nights. I recommend the large room that has a slightly larger bathroom. Good value for money.

Booked for a friend visiting Genoa. Clean facility, easy to reach and convenient as it is located in the historic center. Check-in was easy even without the presence of the manager, who was very helpful and kind. Small but functional room, as well as the bathroom. I recommend it.

Strategic structure to be able to visit the historic center and the port on foot. Paid parking is located a few tens of meters from the structure. Kind and helpful owner. Only note to improve a bit the cleanliness.

I had an amazing experience during my stay. Giovanni was incredibly hospitable, ensuring I felt right at home. He was consistently attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my visit was nothing short of wonderful. Admittedly, there was some noise from the street, particularly from passing motorbikes, and I prefer complete darkness when sleeping, though a bit of light filtered through the blinds. Nonetheless, the location couldn't have been better; it was incredibly convenient being so close to the city center.

The B&B is located on the fourth floor of an elegant building in a very central street, very close to the splendid Piazza De Ferrari. The room we stayed in was quite large, furnished in an essential but functional way. It was well soundproofed from the external noises of the street. The bathroom was small but functional. I would recommend the manager to provide guests with two more pillows, a bit less firm. However, I would recommend this property.

Grazie 1000 per la recensione!!! Per quanto riguarda i cuscini, è un'attuale limitazione da pandemia che spero si risolva nel più breve tempo possibile. Ad oggi mi è d'obbligo far sanificare gli stessi se la camera è stata usata da meno di 24 ore (com'è stato nel vostro caso). Peccato che la sanificazione debba essere chimica (normalmente a base cloro), il che li rende inavvicinabili. Il risultato è che io debba avere una scorta di 8 cuscini oltre ai 4 di base che ho, per camera. Non avendo molto spazio, mi è tuttora impossibile. In ogni caso mi ha fatto enormemente piacere avervi come ospiti!

The room is very clean and there is an efficient ventilation that saved us from the very high temperatures. Giovanni is very nice, and always ready to help. The apartment is right in the historical center of the city which is very pleasant. The only minus is that you have to share the common space with other guests, and therefore have less privacy. We had a really great stay in Genoa, and this place helped! I would recommend, especially if you are a group of four people.

Being a bed and breakfast, I was convinced there would be breakfast and room cleaning, but that was not the case. I recommend changing the name to "room rental". Cleaning needs improvement, and I suggest changing the bathroom door so that it can be locked from the outside to prevent guests from the other room from entering when exiting. Excellent central location, so for a couple of days without too many expectations, it's more than fine.

Found by a very lucky chance in the desired area! Very kind host Giovanni, telling the fascinating story of the splendid palace, one understands to have found a gem a bit like being a guest at his home. I should have stayed one night but it turned into two, already few in beautiful Genoa.

I stayed for two days. The B&B À l'Opéra is very central and what is described in the listing matches reality. Excellent balance between homeliness and privacy (if you wish, you don't even see the manager except for check-in). Everything is small but the location is superb. At this price, you can't ask for more.

I only spent two nights at the B&B À l'Opéra and my judgment is: I was really fine. Not only the location is perfect, right in the center: I had everything I was interested in nearby, the best places to eat, the most fascinating neighborhoods; not only the room was cozy: always warm, in those cold days, and with real parquet on the floor, which comforted me! But with the owner, whom I greet here! we understood each other immediately, I had the greatest availability from him and in short I was really comfortable. Next time I come back to Genoa I will definitely return here.

I recommend this B&B because it is central and clean, close to the stations and the metro. The manager is helpful and kind. It is not a 5-star hotel but a B&B with a high quality/price ratio. Great place because it's very central, clean and affordable but moreover the owner is definitely helpful and easygoing. I note that I had booked and paid for two days but I had to leave earlier and I got refunded for the night not spent. See you soon.

I have been many times at this B&B which has become my reference for stays in Genoa. I feel like recommending it to anyone who wants to be comfortable, in the center, without spending a fortune. Last night we had to stay in Genoa. I chose this B&B because it's in the center and for the low season offer (50 euros) and because it was one of the few B&Bs to respond to me at 10 pm. Great choice, very clean, slept well. Until next time.

Short break in Genoa from Pavese on a friend's recommendation: nice surprise both Genoa and this small B&B: like at home but with your privacy (room with independent entrance), extremely helpful manager, everything at hand, great places to eat right under the house. Well, too bad about the weather but you can't have everything. I will definitely come back.

I came to Genoa for a job interview (hopefully...) so I didn't know exactly where to go. On the internet, I found this B&B À l'Opéra which I chose for its centrality and convenience for connections. What else: Giovanni, the manager, was very kind and attentive, I really liked the place. For someone like me, 35 Euros per day is not a small amount, but considering that in the end, you don't have expenses to move around and you can eat here in the historic center with little money, it's money well spent. Two of us one night in Genoa: Giovanni was very kind to welcome us late on Sunday evening. Excellent room and bathroom, perfect location for parking (which is not at all obvious here in Genoa), quiet even though in the city center. Super ok breakfast. Too bad we only stayed for one day. Well, this is a B&B, not a 5-star hotel, let's always remember that! I appreciated this B&B for the quality of sleep, the very central location, the cleanliness (it's non-smoking and this is a plus for me), the kindness of the host. Excellent property in the center of Genoa. Very kind host who allowed me to leave the B&B at 11 in the evening keeping my luggage. The B&B is located in front of the Teatro Carlo Felice, so it's a central and well-served area. It's a beautiful building. The room and the bathroom were very clean, which is why I could only give a ten as a rating. Unfortunately, there are some negative aspects that turned out to be uncomfortable and were not specified on the website. First: the bathroom is tiny and there is no space to move around, especially to hang clothes or the shower towel. Second: it's inconvenient because besides the lack of space, it's not directly in the room, but you have to cross a small hallway shared by the people in the other room. Third: the manager takes too long to respond. Fourth: a lot of light enters the room, so you can't have total darkness. Fifth: if the people in the next room snore, you can hear it. The same goes for ringing cell phones. This is my personal experience. I feel like recommending it to all those for whom these details are negligible. Instead, I appreciated the truly impeccable cleanliness and the extremely welcoming decor of the room. I couldn't try the breakfast as it's not available on Sundays.

I stayed with my daughter in Genoa for a weekend. From Principe Station taking bus 35 (that afternoon it was raining too much!) we arrived within 7 minutes at this B&B in the historic center a stone's throw from the Ducal Palace and every destination easily reachable even on foot (we would discover this later).\nThe manager, Mr. Tassari, welcomed us with sympathy, showed us our room, the corner fridge and kettle with a choice of tea and sugar, our bathroom, small but essential (shower-sink-toilet), soft towels.\n\nThe room assigned to us was of medium size, extremely comfortable: large bed with soft duvet, relaxing mattress, table with chair, small, modern wardrobe.\n\nA small TV dominated from above, WiFi available. I stayed in a double room for single use in this delightful B&B À l'Opéra in the center of Genoa, less than a quarter of an hour's walk from the train station. Very clean, welcoming. Mr. Tassari was very helpful with my particular needs related to my arrival and departure times. Highly recommended.

I must say that I had a great time at this Bed and Breakfast because it is in a location that allows you to be close to everything and you can even walk to the aquarium. As for the room, I can only be satisfied, especially for the cleanliness, which I consider the most important thing of all. I thank the dear Mr. Giovanni, the owner of the property, for his kindness, friendliness, and above all, professionalism. I will definitely come back gladly.
