Description
We spend much of our days jumping from one thing to the next. At Lavagè, something different happens: time finds its rhythm again.
We are a working farm in the heart of the Beigua UNESCO Global Geopark, in the Ligurian hinterland. Here we raise Brown Swiss cows (we simply call them “the girls”) and turn their milk into cheese in our own dairy.
The agriturismo has three rooms, all with private bathrooms, surrounded by woods, pastures and walking trails.
Staying at Lavagè means stepping, for a few days, into the everyday life of a working farm: seeing the animals, watching the farm at work, noticing the changing seasons and giving yourself a pace that feels a little different from everyday life.
Nature here is protected and very much present. You notice it in the sounds, the scents, the landscape and, from time to time, even in the presence of an insect: it is simply part of life in the countryside.
In the morning, the day begins with our zero-kilometre breakfast. For lunch and dinner, the story continues through the local area, with trattorias, osterias and small local businesses that we will be happy to recommend.
From Lavagè, you can set out to explore the trails and routes of the Beigua Park, or reach Genoa, the western Ligurian Riviera, Acqui Terme, Gavi and the Langhe.
All the linen at Lavagè, from bed sheets to towels, is washed here on the farm and hung outside to dry in the open air. I have chosen not to iron it, in order to reduce energy consumption and respect the environment around us as much as possible. I love the way the fabrics keep that special scent they only get when they dry outdoors.

In the 1960s, my father Tomaso began raising dairy cows, creating a project built on hard work, passion and respect for the animals. Today, we continue to carry his dream forward, combining farming with hospitality.

You can walk, cycle, discover villages and trattorias, or use Lavagè as a base for exploring the coast, Genoa and other areas between Liguria and Piedmont.
Or you can choose not to plan everything.
Sometimes a trail, a good meal and a few unplanned hours are already a journey.
