We are Fabrizio and Debora and we run this bed and breakfast to try to offer you the best in the south of Rome!
Location
"Your Quadraroom": from the neighbourhood of the same name, it was created to offer a unique experience. Our bed and breakfast is located in the ancient and historical quadrilateral, near the Metro line A stop, Porta Furba Quadraro, in the seventh municipality of Rome, halfway between the central stations of Roma Termini and Roma Tiburtina and the Cinecittà film studios. Quadraro is a popular and very lively neighbourhood that runs along Via Tuscolana with its many shops, the Metro A, and is bordered on one side by the Acquedotti Park, a green treasure of the area, made famous by Sorrentino's film 'La grande bellezza'. This B&B is a 750-metre walk from Porta Furba - Quadraro Metro Station, 1. 7 km from Caffarella Park and 7 km from the Coliseum.
Structure
In a big city, living in the style of the 1940s Roman houses, situated in a quiet, green setting, on the first floor of an old building overlooking the greenery, Your Quadraroom has a living room with a kitchenette; 2 double bedrooms with a newly renovated shared bathroom and 2 balconies. We do not recommend our B&B for people with mobility difficulties as the building does not have a lift.
Services
Amenities include Wi Fi and TV; a well-equipped kitchen where buffet breakfast is available 24/7; equipment to accommodate children (cot/crib on request) and small animals (the latter for a small extra charge and on request). Use of washing machine on request; small safe.
The property has a small courtyard with private access; on-street parking easily available in a semi-private street.
Culture and strengths
It is in a neighbourhood that is not in the downtown core, but also not a suburb inhabited by workers, artisans, and clerks, where it is still possible to easily find a plumber, carpenter or electrician, and is adorned by a remarkable series of murals created by the best street artists in memory of the 1944 rounding up of the inhabitants of the area. It was precisely along the wall where the almost one thousand who would later be deported to Germany were lined up that the first nucleus of M. U. Ro. paintings arose. It is not a coincidence, therefore, that an internationally renowned street artist such as Ron English, already the author of the famous Abraham Obama mural in which the faces of the two presidents overlapped, gladly agreed to paint one of his works right here.
A neighbourhood of artistic prominence: many extras active in the Cinecittà studios live here, and it was a place of inspiration for the great Pasolini in Mamma Roma to name but one...
