My name is Danilo, I am 69 years old, and after spending my whole life in Rome, I chose to move to this valley because I love nature, peace and a slower pace of life.
For me, welcoming guests means sharing a simple and authentic lifestyle, based on respect for the environment and genuine human connections. I love spending time outdoors and taking care of animals. I live here with my horse, and we often go for rides together through the valley.
There is a little story that is particularly dear to me: my horse once saved a sheep from a wolf. The sheep’s name is Martina, and ever since that day they have been inseparable — they eat together and spend their days side by side.
Earlier in my life, I was also a martial arts instructor, teaching for many years with passion and dedication. I am a sixth dan in Karate and a fifth dan in Iaido and Kendo. To this day, I carry with me the values these disciplines have taught me: respect, balance and consideration for others.
At Volo Libero, I welcome guests with simplicity and warmth, doing my best to make everyone feel at home — in a place where they can relax, breathe, slow down and experience something truly authentic.
