The Guest House “Sotto la Cupola” is situated at 300 mt. from Vatican and 350 mt. from S. Pietro Station, in a nice and calm area of the center of Rome. We are close to some of the most important and famous monuments and museums of the eternal city (St Peter - The Vatican Museum - Castel St Angelo -The Coliseum and Piazza Navona). We offer bedrooms of high style with original antique furniture and antique paintings.
Rooms have all the comforts: private bathrooms, hairdrayer, air conditioning, TV, wireless internet line.
For a cheap stay in Rome with all the conforts and luxuous and familiar atmosphere. For you to feel completely free you will be given the keys of the apartment and to feel like at home the kitchen will be totally at your disposal.
If needed we have arrangements with two garages, one is only 30 m from the Guest House, the other one is public, which is 150 m form us. We can also arrange for airport tranfers. € 55, 00.

Delightful apartment very close to St. Peter's Square, managed by a young couple who are helpful, kind, and welcoming. I recommend the B&B Sotto la Cupola without any reservations.

Excellent facility in a strategic location just a few steps from St. Peter's. Bus stop 50 meters away. Comfortable room with comfortable beds and pillows. Small but functional bathroom. Good cleanliness of the facility and very friendly and cordial staff.

Emilia was a great host, very responsive to queries. The location was great, just a few minutes from the Vatican. The only small problem was there was no hot water in the morning, so better to shower at night! The room was fine and there's a small kitchen where breakfast was served.

Hello,\n\nWe got a small room, not the one shown in the picture. It was very tight, but it was fine for these four nights. The beds were good.\n\nWhat struck us is that it is very noisy. It's better to sleep with earplugs. However, the location is really good.

We had a good time in a small apartment very close to St. Peter's, although we had some difficulty finding it. Mrs. Emilia helped us a lot, welcomed us and was particularly kind and patient. It is a point of reference to return to.

The location is excellent and the manager is very kind and helpful. However, there are some things to improve. A more modern decor could be useful, and a more thorough cleaning wouldn't hurt; the linens were spotless. The real problem was the odor coming from the bathroom, which accompanied us throughout all three days. This needs to be addressed.

Great location, within walking distance to several tourist areas. Good welcome from the Owner. Clean but dated room. The furniture may have been antique and valuable but kept in less than optimal conditions. Non-functioning bathroom siphons, upon entering a bad smell was perceived. The silicone in the edges of the bathtub was covered in mold/dirt. Breakfast available according to the program but we did not use it. The kitchenette was unwelcoming, poorly maintained, and at times dirty. The same goes for tableware and breakfast accessories. Nothing inspired trust. We had breakfast elsewhere. Having stayed only one night, we adapted. Partial recommendation.

All in order as described. The owner very professional and kind, top location to reach all the main destinations and in the evening a very quiet area. I would reconsider the structure for another occasion and recommend it. The only flaw is the soundproofing due to the slightly dated building, but not the fault of the managers. The windows could be changed to help dampen the noise and in the bathroom replace the tub/shower with a proper shower. Overall excellent solution.

We stayed at this property last weekend, enviable location, just a few steps from St. Peter's and the center. We arrived by train and practically found ourselves 200 meters from the property, very convenient also because we were on foot and so we had no difficulty in moving around. Surely Rome is not a city to visit by car. Great welcome, clean rooms, perhaps the breakfast to be improved a bit, but all in all good, nothing was missing and moreover in quantity. Perhaps the thing that liked less are the croissants, very different from ours and yet we ate them. To recommend and above all to return. Thank you Alessio.

Very kind hosts, comfortable room for 2 adults and 2 children, excellent breakfast served in a very pleasant and well-kept kitchen. Excellent value for money. Located in a quiet area, 2 minutes from St. Peter's Square, very convenient and well served by public transport. Waking up in the morning to the sound of its bells is priceless. We felt at home. We stayed at the b&b 'Sotto la Cupola' from 22/01 to 23/01. Alessio, the owner, is a generous person who makes you feel like you're one of the family. We were assigned the 'silver' room, very nice, clean and well-maintained, bathroom up to expectations with everything you need, complimentary toiletry set included. Throughout the b&b there are various hand sanitizers and signage about covid 19. Buffet breakfast, Alessio offers all guests the opportunity to order freshly baked croissants directly from a bakery for breakfast. Very knowledgeable, he gave us great tips on how to visit Rome and also some advice on where to eat. Recommended, we will definitely return and spread the word!

Cucina a disposizione degli ospiti con frigo dotato di yogurt latte e succhi e caffè sempre a disposizione. (Qualche bottiglia di acqua in più sarebbe necessaria).

Bellissimo appartamento, situato a due passi (a piedi) da San Pietro e dall'ospedale Bambin Gesù (Gianicolo).
I proprietari sono stati molto accoglienti e disponibilissimi, d'altronde come l'appartamento stesso curato nei minimi dettagli, la camera dove siamo stati noi "ORO" è molto spaziosa ed è munita di tutti i confort, climatizzatore, tv, cassaforte, scrivania, Wi-Fi. Il bagno è molto grande, la cucina è dotata di tutto il necessario per cucinare e soprattutto molto fornita per una buona ed abbondante colazione (in più ci hanno portato anche cornetti caldi a scelta), una libreria molto fornita di opuscoli, carte ed bigliettini da visita di tutto quello che devi sapere su Roma (ristoranti/pizzerie, teatri/cinema, musei, carta di Roma ecc).
Cosa dire, essendoci stato con la mia famiglia, 2 bimbe di 3 e 9 anni e moglie, ci siamo sentiti a casa nostra e sicuramente se dovessi tornarci lo sceglierei senza indugio.

Il signor Alessio e pure la signora sono due persone squisite, ci siamo sentiti anche prima del nostro arrivo e hanno dato una completa disponibilità alle nostre richieste. Ci siamo trovati molto bene specialmente le prime due notti, la terza un po' meno perché abbiamo dovuto cambiare stanza. In conclusione grazie ai gestori, ottima posizione e comodità, se dovessi tornare, tornerei da loro molto volentieri.

Sin dal momento del contatto telefonico siamo stati accolti dalla signora Emilia la proprietaria in maniera molto familiare. La struttura è molto graziosa, bagno in camera pulitissimo, struttura pulitissima in un condominio molto silenzioso e centralissimo a due passi da San Pietro e dall'ospedale Bambino Gesù. Ci ritornerò; complimenti per tutto.

Accoglienza del gestore ottima, camera e bagno pulito come anche il cucinino in comune con altra stanza. La cortesia e la gentilezza del gestore ha reso il soggiorno migliore. Il luogo è veramente molto vicino ai posti che volevo visitare. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Posto molto comodo per girare per Roma. Camera molto bella dotata di ogni confort. Il proprietario persona disponibilissima e simpatica. Abbiamo passato una notte ma sicuramente ci torneremo.

Confort, pulizia, a pochi passi dalla città del Vaticano, fanno di questa struttura, un ottimo punto di riferimento.
La gestione e i rapporti con il cliente, sono improntati con professionalità, e disponibilità ad ogni esigenza del cliente stesso.
Un posto ove sicuramente ritornerei.

Gentilezza e massima disponibilità dei gestori, pulizia delle camere e varietà della colazione. Luce notturna e parquet in tutto l'appartamento, bei colori alle pareti e profumo di lenzuola pulite. Ci siamo trovati bene, unica pecca, il bagno della camera dei nostri figli era veramente piccolo. Comunque ci ritorneremo volentieri e mi sentirei di consigliarlo. Vicinissimo a piazza San Pietro e all'Ospedale Bambin Gesù di Roma.
