Description
The B&B Portico D’Ottavia is located in the heart of Old Rome, in the Rione Sant’Angelo, the smallest Roman district, on the fourth floor of a historical building overlooking the rooftops. It is just a few feet away from the Jewish Ghetto, ideal for your Roman holidays. The Rione Sant’Angelo, which extends from the Tiber Island to Piazza Venezia, stands apart from all other Roman districts for over time it has maintained its original popular spirit, with its trattorie and typical Roman spots but, at the same time, it is at the center of the capitoline “movida”, with restaurants, clubs and hangouts to suit all tastes.
The rooms are finely decorated and cozy, featuring above-standard comforts and services. Three rooms are available, each with a private bathroom: a double, a triple or quadruple, and a double that can be used as a single, all with air conditioning, ample shower, hair dryer, color TV, free wi-fi, safe, minibar. On request, breakfast can be served in your room.
The structure is brand new, its furnishings, colours and layout arranged with care, to create the ideal atmosphere for an unforgettable stay. Cots or cribs for children and baby sitting services can be provided on request and are charged separately.

The room was in a charming and scenic location near most sites including Trestevere. In fact, we were able to walk to the Vatican in 25 minutes and to the coliseum in 20 minutes and everything in/between in less than that! Being on the edge of the Jewish ghetto gave us access to wonderful restaurants in all areas of central Rome. The room itself was spotlessly clean, quiet and private with good mattresses. Our only complaint was the cost of the arranged taxi ride from the airport, which was quoted to us in an email on this site as 42 Euros. (We we’re going to take the express train to Termini and then catch a cab). When we arrived at the bnb the driver said we owed 55. The host from the B&B was called and simply said that gas had gone up. But don’t let this put you off this is a fabulous location a wonderful host who bent over backwards to do everything he could for us when we had trouble catching a cab the last day we were there. Stefano thank you so much for a memorable stay. We will be back and will send friends.

Our room at the Portico d'Ottavia was by far the biggest of the 3 BnB's we stayed at during our trip. The location in Central Rome allowed us to walk to all of the major sights, and the neighborhood was surrounded by many great Bars and Restaurants. Stefano was a great Host and offered us the typical Italian Breakfast daily so we hot the streets full. He also booked our transfer to FCO for us which allowed a stress free departure. I highly recommend this BnB. Grazie Stefano!

Stephanos is a great host. He looked after our family very well. He went out of his way to accommodate our dietary requirements. The rooms are much more spacious than you normally get in Rome.

The B&B is perfectly located in the ghetto, nearby all main attractions, including Trastevere. The room and bathroom are vast, clean and very quiet at night for sleep. Exceeded expectations in every way. We were looking for a place in Centro Storico, this was close to Jewish quarter, walking distance to transport, key sites. Perfect for what we wanted. Stefano was gracious and welcoming, lots of good information re buses, eating. Will go back next time in Rome.

My husband and I stayed in Stefano's newly renovated apartment. Stefano was wonderful - so very helpful and kind. Very fun to talk to. The location was excellent - about a 3-5 minute walk to Campo di Fiore. We were able to walk to all of the sites. One day we took the bus to the Vatican City (5 minute walk to bus stop) which saved us a 15-20 minute walk to the Vatican. The apartment itself was cute, clean, spacious, comfortable. Everything seemed new, including the double-paned windows which made it nice and quiet. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and shower was great. Also, the elevator was key since the apartment is on one of the top floors. We will recommend to our friends and will stay again if we get the chance to go back. Stefano - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Notre séjour chez Stefano était très confortable et agréable grâce à son infinie gentillesse. Il est très attentionné et nous a mis à l’aise, il est aussi très accommodant. L'emplacement est idéalement situé dans le centre historique. On peut tout faire à pied: à moins de 10 minutes du panthéon, une trentaine de minutes du Vatican, une vingtaine de minutes du Colisée, de la fontaine de Trévi...
La chambre triple est grande et confortable.
Et pour couronner le tout Stéfano est super gentil et accueillant.
C'est ici qu'il faut venir pour un séjour à Rome!

Les quelques jours passés chez Stefano étaient superbes: une chambre spacieuse, moderne et propre, un hôte extrêmement sympathique avec plein de recommandations et toujours le sourire, un logement depuis lequel tout peut se visiter à pieds, et des petits déjeuners copieux et même sur-mesure selon nos goûts. C'est avec un grand plaisir que nous retournerons, moi ma femme et mes 2 enfants, chez Stefano.

le lieu est très bien placé pour tout visiter à pied. l'endroit est propre, très bien agencé. les chambres sont spacieuses, les salles de bain aussi.

Un appartement propre, accueillant, bien situé, bien renové avec un bel espace, notamment la salle de bain. Mais c'est surtout Stefano qui fait toute la différence et réserve à ses hôtes un accueil irréprochable.

Nunca había estado en un B&B y me ha sorprendido gratamente. Yendo a un país como Roma, que para lo único que vas al hotel es a dormir y descansar, nos ha merecido mucho la pena. La ubicación es fantástica porque puedes ir andando prácticamente a todos los lugares de interés. El anfitrión, Stefano, no puede ser más amable. Te informa de todo lo que necesitas, y está pendiente de tus gustos de desayuno, que la verdad es difícil no encontrar cosas de tu agrado, ya que hay de todo: Café, cacaos, infusiones, zumo, tostadas de varios tipos de pan, mermeladas, mantequilla, frutas variadas, Yogures, frutos secos, bollería variada recién hecha, etc etc. Por supuesto, si volvemos a Roma, volveremos allí y recomendaremos siempre este hospedaje.

Il b&b si trova in una posizione perfetta per chi vuole visitare il centro di Roma. Non serve Metro e non servono bus per spostarsi. Stefano è fantastico come le sue colazioni. Lo consiglio vivamente! Ritorneremo.

Il B&B si trova al quarto piano di uno stabile con ascensore, le camere sono ampie e molto pulite, dotate di confort come aria condizionata frigobar e TV, il bagno è grande e con finestra, il gestore è disponibilissimo e molto cortese, la colazione abbondante ed i prodotti serviti di qualità, un unico appunto l'ingresso al palazzo è molto trascurato e la prima impressione non è piacevole.

Abbiamo trascorso due notti nella struttura. Il gestore si è dimostrato ultra disponibile già dalla fase di prenotazione. Persona veramente cordiale e pronta a mettersi a disposizione anche per problematiche personali. A noi ha cercato anche il parcheggio, tenendolo occupato con la sua macchina. La struttura è dentro il ghetto ebraico, posto bellissimo e ricco di locali tipici. La colazione è ricchissima e nella camera ci sono frigo e cassaforte. Il prezzo è sicuramente basso per tutto ciò che è offerto. Non credo si possa aggiungere altro!

Mi è piaciuta questa struttura per varie ragioni, tra cui spicca la gentilezza e la disponibilità del gestore Stefano. Non solo ci preparava la colazione secondo le nostre preferenze, ma ha anche prenotato in modo efficiente il trasporto da Fiumicino alla struttura e dalla struttura a Termini. Ci siamo sentiti accompagnati e supportati in ogni momento, come con un vero amico. È sicuramente da raccomandare vivamente. La posizione permette di visitare a piedi tutti i luoghi d'interesse del centro storico. La struttura si trova al 4º piano ed è accessibile tramite ascensore.

Un piccolo gioiello in centro a Roma, ad un prezzo abbordabile considerata la posizione strategica. La zona è tranquillissima e molto bella, la colazione abbondante e addirittura per me che sono vegana il proprietario, Stefano, ha fatto trovare ad ogni colazione croissant e dolcetti tipici della tradizione ebraica tutti esclusivamente vegani. Ero lì per studio/lavoro, e devo dire che è stata una scelta perfetta sia per la comodità dell'ubicazione centrale del bnb, sia per la tranquillità del luogo e l'incredibile ospitalità di Stefano. Tornerò sicuramente!

B&B accogliente nel quartiere ebraico, posizione centrale, ottima per raggiungere i punti di interesse principali. Appena fuori dalla via vi è anche una comoda fermata dell’autobus dove passano tantissime linee, utili per raggiungere la stazione e le principali attrazioni.
Stefano, il proprietario, si è da subito reso estremamente disponibile e i suoi consigli sono stati molto utili. Le camere erano estremamente pulite e la colazione davvero ottima e rifornita. Consiglio vivamente a tutti questa struttura, anche per il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Il B&B Portico d'Ottavia è la meta ideale per chi desidera visitare Roma in modo pigro. Noi eravamo in 5 (di cui 3 ragazzi) e non abbiamo faticato, grazie alla vicinanza dei maggiori monumenti e musei della Capitale. In pochi minuti si raggiunge il centro, i Fori, il Colosseo, Trastevere senza dover prendere un solo mezzo pubblico. A ridosso del ghetto ebraico, offre un'atmosfera di calma e sicurezza, che temevo di non vivere in una città di 3 milioni di abitanti...e invece no tutto perfetto grazie anche al fatto che la strada di accesso è semi-pedonale e quindi il traffico auto è tagliato fuori. Stefano è un host eccezionale, competente, affabile, divertente, sempre pronto a dare un consiglio/aiuto e mai invadente. Ci ha viziati con delle colazioni abbondanti a base di cornetti croccanti appena sfornati (così uno ha la scusa per camminare e smaltire). Sperando di ritornare presto in questa fantastica città, colma di tesori d'arte e buon cibo, sappiamo di poter contare su un punto di riferimento di qualità a prezzi normali. Dajjje Ste! B&B al quarto piano di un palazzo alle porte del Ghetto, zona centralissima che attraverso il Teatro Marcello permette di raggiungere a piedi in pochi minuti il Campidoglio, P. zza Venezia, e da qui tutte le piazze principali con i loro fantastici monumenti e palazzi, le loro spettacolari fontane e le ricche Chiese. Attraverso Campo dei Fiori vs Castel Sant'Angelo e P. zza San Pietro e poi il Gianicolo e Trastevere e... . sono stati quattro giorni fantastici. Stefano è gentilissimo, molto disponibile e attento. Il buongiorno iniziava con un'ottima colazione con prodotti salati e dolci e mentre ci gustavamo queste delizie Stefano ci trasmetteva il grande amore per la sua bella città, grazie a lui abbiamo potuto godere di luoghi e momenti che da soli non avremmo potuto scoprire. Camera e bagno molto spaziosi e puliti. Non avremmo potuto chiedere di meglio. Da consigliare assolutamente e da tornarci (per continuare a camminare sui sanpietrini di questa straordinaria città) e gustare nuovamente i carciofi alla Giudia, il baccalà di Nonna Betta. Soggiorno fantastico, posizione molto strategica situata all’inizio del quartiere ebraico, si raggiunge a piedi qualsiasi tipo di monumento e attrazione. Il quartiere ebraico stesso è molto bello, ricco di storia e si mangia davvero bene. Dalla stazione si arriva comodamente con i mezzi in una ventina di minuti. Camera spaziosa e pulitissima, dotata di ogni comfort. Colazione abbondante con prodotti sia classici, sia freschi di pasticceria. Stefano è stato un host incredibile, ci ha consigliato itinerari, ristoranti, e posti che val la pena visitare. È pronto ad assecondare qualsiasi richiesta sempre col sorriso. Stefano si è dimostrato da subito (contatto via email e via telefono) molto, molto disponibile, efficiente e simpatico.
La posizione del B&B è ottima: centralissimo, raggiungibilissimo con i mezzi, all'ingresso del ghetto, a un passo da piazza Argentina, quindi anche Trastevere, Panteon, Campo dei Fiori, piazza Navona, piazza Venezia sono tutti a 5 minuti a piedi (giusto per citare i primi classici posti noti che vengono in mente).
Il B&B è tenuto molto bene, accogiente, comodo, ben sistemato.
La colazione fresca, buona, ricca, assortita.
Durante il soggiorno, Stefano ha confermato la sua disponibilità, gentilezza, accoglienza e simpatia. Come farsi ospitare da un amico.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 3 giorni in questa struttura e devo dire che è stata una vacanza piacevolissima grazie anche alla disponibilità ed alla cortesia di Stefano, il gestore che si è dimostrato sempre disponibile a fornirci consigli utili per sfruttare al meglio il tempo a nostra disposizione.
Questa struttura la consiglierei a chiunque.

Soggiorno perfetto! La posizione è ottima per visitare Roma a piedi e per la vicinanza di tanti ottimi e tipici ristoranti per mangiare la sera. Le foto del B&B corrispondono alla realtà: appartamento moderno, stanze e bagni spaziosi e pulitissimi. Il sig. Stefano simpatico e gentile è stato molto disponibile ad accogliere le nostre richieste. Colazione buona ed abbondante.

Con mio marito abbiamo soggiornato tre notti in questo delizioso B&B.
Completamente ristrutturato al nuovo, situato in zona centrale, nel quartiere ebraico, vicinissimo a Campo dei Fiori ed a Trastevere, dove si può approfittare della "vita di quartiere". Stefano, il titolare, è gentile e disponibile, si prodiga per mettere a proprio agio i suoi ospiti consigliando visite e locali.
Ritorneremo certamente.

Posto situato in ottima posizione rispetto alle linee pubbliche e alle maggiori attrazioni della città. Silenzioso e confortevole. il gestore è una persona affabile e con ottime idee in merito alla organizzazione del soggiorno.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 6 notti ed è stata una scelta veramente felice!
La struttura è perfetta sotto ogni punto di vista (posizione, confort, camera Super) e il gestore veramente eccezionale nell'intrattenere ed informare i clienti.
Torneremo senz'altro e lo consiglieremo.

Mio marito ed io abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti nei primi giorni di maggio e siamo stati benissimo.
Zona pedonale nel cuore del Quartiere Ebraico più che centrale, tutte le meraviglie della città a portata di piedi.
Ambiente silenzioso di notte nonostante le finestre aperte, camere con pavimento in legno, bagno spazioso e funzionale.
La colazione viene fatta in piacevole compagnia di Stefano, l'oste cordiale e simpatico che ci ha fatto sentire come a casa di amici.
Certamente quando torneremo a Roma sarà il nostro primo pensiero!

Soggiorno piacevolissimo, l'unica nota negativa è stata dover lasciare Roma. Il B&B é delizioso: moderno, arredato con gusto e gestito da due simpatici e disponibili romani.

Quattro giorni splendidi nel cuore di Roma, in una delle migliori strutture in cui potessimo capitare.
Posizione più che strategica, accoglienza perfetta, stanze spaziose e curate, colazione piacevolissima.
Stefano è un ospite davvero piacevole, in grado di far sentire subito a casa e di dare consigli interessanti per la visita alla città.
Portico d'Ottavia Rooms è il Bed and Breakfast per Roma.

Mi sono fermato al B&B con la mia famiglia per una piccola vacanza e penso che ci ritornerò. Camera e bagno molto grande (noi eravamo in 3) e posizione magnifica, vicino a qualsiasi cosa si voglia vedere in centro.
