The Podere Porcino, with certified sanitization, is a farmhouse surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and woods overlooking the rolling hills leading to the village of Civitella d'Agliano, in the province of Viterbo, situated between Orvieto and Lake Bolsena where the regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio converge.
The Owners:
The owners are Maria Malleier, from Alto Adige, movement therapist and teacher of psychomotion, and Gianni Abbate, Neapolitan, author, actor and director.
Accomodations:
There are two separate apartments each consisting of 2 rooms, an open kitchen corner and a bathroom. Also a Loft STUDIO for 2 person
The surroundings:
Within 50 kilometres from the Podere Porcino the visitor will find natural protected wildlife parks, artistic sites, archaelogical sites, medieval cities, thermal springs as well as the shores of Lake Bolsena for swimming or boating.
Rome can be reached in less than an hour by train. The famed Maremma region of Tuscany and the Tyrrhenian Sea are within a little over an hour's drive.
Bicycles can be rented.
We are surrounded by wine producers where excellent wines can be tasted with unerring d. o. c. guarantee.
A quite unusual feature!
There is a small theatre of about 90 square metres where we have an ongoing program of artistic events as well as courses, seminars, workshops and musical soirèes.

Always worth a visit. For the last 14 years I have regularly stayed at Podere Porcino. I enjoy coming here to relax and always discover new places in the area like this time the Parco di Villa Lante and the Bosco del Sosseto. I enjoy shopping in Orvieto and Bolsena, swimming and dining at Lake Bolsena, sightseeing in Viterbo and the Park of the Monsters in Bomarzo. I cannot stop praising Podere Porcino for its beautiful accommodation and surrounding scenery. Maria's hospitality is fantastic. Her deep knowledge of the area and recommendations are invaluable. I will certainly come again.

You can't help but breathe a new, different air at Podere Porcino. An escape from the city to a place where hospitality, care, and simplicity bring you back to the essentials. Podere Porcino is located in a beautiful countryside, extremely quiet and idyllic, yet easily accessible from the highway in 15-20 minutes for travelers like us. You can visit interesting places in the surroundings (Orvieto, Lake Bolsena etc.), unfortunately we didn't have enough time, so we'll have to come back for a longer holiday or similar. Maria, our hostess, was very attentive, friendly and helpful, preparing a wonderful breakfast. The room was nice, quiet and very clean, we slept great there. Our daughter was particularly fond of the dog Tocchio and the three cats, my husband and I really enjoyed the trattoria recommended by Maria. Thank you very much, Maria, for the beautiful and relaxing time we were allowed to spend with you.

An absolutely wonderful place to go back to after tiring days sightseeing and exploring. Situated on the top of a hill with cooling breezes and plenty of shade, it's an ideal spot to stay in during the hot summer months. The owners are also extremely friendly and experts on the area. Breakfasts were homemade and delicious.

Podere Porcino is a lovely property overlooking the valley with a lot of "Tuscan" charm. The apartment I stayed in had everything one would need also for an extended stay. There is a lovely sitting/dining area just outside my apartment. The hosts were very welcoming and made my stay special. The location is great when you are looking for a retreat in the country. It certainly was a reprieve from the hustle and bustle in Rome and Siena. I would go back there any time.

A delightful place, managed with skill by Mrs. Maria. The wonderful panorama and the beauty of the farmhouse, together with the hospitality of the owners, ensured us a truly pleasant stay.
