Good value for money (considering that Rome is expensive). It is not in the tourist area of Trastevere (the best way to get there is to take a bus) but in the southern part, close to the train station and very near the Testaccio bridge. Modest, but very well renovated and decorated, with good attention to detail for the guest (I would only add a stronger light in the room). I got the one that faces the street (actually an avenue, on Sundays there is the Porta Portese market right there), if you open the window it becomes very noisy, not only during the market, although the window is designed to block noise well. The option of using the kitchen/common room is very good for preparing breakfast or heating food in the microwave, although I did not understand why Paola, while pleasant and attentive, did not seem pleased that I used it for a long time. I understand that being a shared common space, no guest would mind someone occupying a spot. I chose it mainly for this, as I had to spend a few days in Rome working with my laptop. In any case, the wifi did not reach well in that area, but it did in the room. In summary, a very good option for a mid-range budget and if you are not looking for a central place.

Very nice apartment furnished with care, clean, functional, three rooms including ours with a private bathroom, shared kitchen, well equipped, excellent location, reachable by public transport. Mrs. Paola was very friendly and helpful. If I were to return to Rome, I would return there.

Highly recommended Paola Guest House, welcoming, new and very clean. It is in a very quiet area and in an optimal position for those who enjoy walking a bit to reach the key points of the city. The homeowner was very kind and helpful. Really recommended.

Excellent structure, clean and well taken care of down to the smallest details. Paola Guest House is an excellent host. I highly recommend.

Paola is a great host! She is super helpful and kind. It was a great experience to stay at her property. We stayed in the Orange room and the room was well-equipped and clean. The property has a common kitchen, which is also a great advantage. The only thing is that the property is a little far from the center of Trastevere (20 minutes on foot) and also from the historic area of Rome. We always used a bus with a weekly ticket and this worked as well.

Great welcome. Well-kept and tidy apartment. The room, always perfectly clean and tidy, has certainly partly satisfied our needs. The area where the apartment is located was perfect for us, easily reaching most tourist places by taking the bus a few meters away. I would say that there is no negative point to report. Recommended.

Paola is really helpful to the fullest, the house is really clean and tidy. Even though breakfast is not provided, Paola still made me find coffee and other things. Highly recommended.

Paola is very kind and friendly, attentive to details. The accommodation is not in a central area but with the bus in 15 minutes you can reach any point you want to visit. It does not include breakfast but still Paola provides you with snacks, coffee, cereals and you have a fridge, microwave, toaster, dishes to prepare whatever you like. If you travel alone the price is medium/high, if you travel with someone it becomes more affordable, I've also seen hotels with very bad reviews at the same price. So it's a very good option if you're traveling to Rome.

Recent B&B, very quiet and clean. Very convenient area with very good places nearby for dinner. Also, Paola is a truly hospitable and nice person. Definitely recommended.

Excellent structure, very clean and comfortable, well served by public transport, close to the city center. Mrs. Paola is welcoming and very kind. Unfortunately, the breakfast is of a very low standard and this is disappointing because it clashes with everything else, which is perfect.

B&B in the Trastevere area, recently renovated, comfortable and clean rooms, equipped with every comfort. Very kind and helpful owner. I will come back.

Great stay just a stone's throw from Trastevere and several urban transport lines. Clean and comfortable facility, impeccable host.

Paola was a very welcoming and helpful host. Great location, easy to get into the center of Rome or further afield as the train station is 5-10 minutes away. Good selection of amenities nearby. Will definitely return in the future!

Fantastic location to visit Rome and then rest in silence. Mrs. Paola is welcoming, very kind, and helpful. The rooms are quite spacious and spotlessly clean. It was a short but very pleasant stay.

Stay and welcome were excellent, recommended!

Very positive experience. Located inside a quiet building, also thanks to its courtyard with benches, the structure is new and, above all, impeccable in cleanliness (a fundamental requirement). As soon as you enter, it immediately conveys a feeling of welcome, confirmed by the spaciousness of the living area and a kitchen equipped with everything. Like the room (mine was the 'Yellow' one, street side), where I slept well with the double glass that neutralizes traffic noise. About breakfast, my vote is relative, because I have habits that are not at all Italian (coffee and croissants/toast with jam, which are not missing here) and so it is rare that during my trips I find the opportunity to satisfy them. Finally, excellent location, close to the station and you can quickly reach both Trastevere and Testaccio on foot, and it was a great pleasure to meet Paola, very helpful, and listen to her stories.

Very welcoming, the owner is very kind. The location is convenient to bus stops. Everything has been recently renovated and all in perfect working order. The shared kitchen is well equipped. Maybe I would add something more for breakfast. Perhaps some yogurt. Anyway, a wonderful stay.

The room is large and close to the center, the location was suitable.\n\nNevertheless, my partner and I did not feel comfortable. The landlady often entered the apartment and the rooms for cleaning.\n\nShe created many problems for us regarding the use of the kitchen because, according to her, it caused smells and she thought it would remain dirty.\n\nOverall, we felt constantly judged by the landlady, being blamed for being young. She adopted a challenging and inappropriate behavior towards us.\n\nThe area of the apartment is ideal for visiting Rome, but we will not return due to how we felt because of this person's attitude.

The apartment is fantastic, the location is good, and the rooms are spacious and functional, but the landlady's behavior towards our group was discriminatory due to our young age. She had poor communication with us and did not treat us well. Furthermore, she entered our rooms without permission on many occasions. The place is recommended but I would not return due to the aforementioned reasons.

If you are looking for a cozy place and want to live an unforgettable experience, this is the right place. Paola gives you a warm and excellent welcome. A beautiful house, in an area very well connected to transportation, restaurants, pharmacies, and just minutes from the center of Rome. Highly recommended, I hope to come back soon to Paola Guest House!

Paola is a very affable hostess and the room she offers is comfortable, spacious, and very clean (good bedding). The accommodation is located not far from the Trastevere train station and the tram line, which allows for easy transportation. However, the offered breakfast is very industrial (individual portions under plastic). A refrigerator, however, allows for storing some fresh products to compensate. I want to thank Paola for her excellent welcome and for allowing me to leave my bag on the last day before taking my evening flight.

Really convenient location near Trastevere station, a few tram stops away from the Trastevere district and within walking distance to Testaccio. Also close to the bus stop to reach the city center in about ten stops (Piazza Venezia). The owner is very helpful and kind. The rooms are very clean. A small breakfast is available with packaged croissants, jam, coffee, tea, vegan cookies, wafers, and some taralli. On Sundays, it's easy to dive into the very typical Porta Portese. Highly recommended.

Good stay, Paola very pleasant, everything very clean and well-kept. A bit far from the center but it's nice to walk in Rome.

Paola makes this a comfortable place to stay. It is obvious that she puts a lot of effort into making it a nice place and meeting the guests. There is a kitchen to prepare food, a typical Italian breakfast, clean rooms, everything one can ask for.

Stayed for two nights in comfort and tranquility. The room is spacious and well furnished. Area very close to Roma Trastevere station, tram and urban bus stops. Mrs. Paola very helpful and caring! I had a great time:).

My husband, my son, and I stayed for a week at this b&b in the early days of September of this strange 2020. We didn't know it yet, but perhaps we managed to take advantage of the last days of apparent calm before the infamous second wave hit our lives. Our Roman holiday was made almost perfect and much depended on choosing this b&b for our stay: spacious in the right measure, clean, recently renovated. With a kitchen and a living area available to guests (even for frugal meals, if necessary). This meant that the discomfort resulting from the fact that breakfast was not included in the rate was mitigated. In fact, we were able to enjoy the coffee pods that Mrs. Paola leaves in the rooms every day after tidying them up, and the presence of a refrigerator in the common area allowed us to better store milk, water, and juices. The area is strategic: two bus stops within a radius of 50 meters and the tram stop a little further away, allowed us to reach any tourist area with at most one change. Also to be noted is the extreme tranquility of the condominium: the windows overlook the internal courtyard of a typical Roman building, so traffic noise is absolutely not a problem (a small colorful note: yesterday the TV ended up lazily tuned to a Rai fiction from a few years ago, 'Happiness has arrived'; well, the facade of this b&b's building was chosen as the location for the protagonist's house... this sight made the memory of the holidays pleasantly burst into a rainy winter afternoon spent in the red zone and reminded me that it was time to leave a review). Last note: if you decide to follow my advice, don't miss Il Maritozzaro and la Tavernaccia in the area.

I had a lovely time staying at Paola Guest House. Paola is a very kind and friendly person and always made me feel at home. The room is clean and quiet, as she said it's not a very big room but to me it was perfect. Every room has an en-suite bathroom. The only thing I missed was a bathtub or bidet. That's all. I also liked the kitchen that I could use and cook if I didn't feel like going out to eat. The bus stops, tram station, bars, supermarkets, and restaurants, laundry are nearby. So, it was convenient to go around Rome. I'd like to keep my secret place but I already recommend this Guest House!

The Bed and Breakfast is nice, new, and very clean. It has a convenient location to visit the city, especially the Trastevere area.

Great experience that I recommend. Well-cleaned apartment and truly comfortable rooms both in size and in cleanliness and comfort. Paola Guest House, the owner, very polite and helpful.
