THE ADVANTAGES OF THE METRO - LINE A

The proximity to the FURIO CAMILLO station of the 'Line A' of the Metro, the most touristy line of Rome, is one of the strengths underlined by our guests in their reviews.

Starting already from a central location, and thanks to the 'Line A' of the Metro, the whole old town is within easy reach. The stop "FURIO CAMILLO-Parco dell'Appia Antica" is only 2 minutes walk. You will easily reach the nearby San Giovanni in Laterano (3 stops, 5 minutes), Viale Manzoni (Colosseum area, 4 stops, 7 minutes) and then the Esquilino, Termini Station, Via Nazionale, Via Cavour, Via Veneto, Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, Saint Peter’s Basilica, Vatican Museums. At Termini Station Line A intersects with Line B that will lead you to the foot of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, the Circus Maximus.

You will experience Rome from a privileged position.

A GENUINE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Appio-Latino district, immediately behind San Giovanni in Laterano, is a central, authentic district, inhabited and lived by the Romans. The neighborhood is full of public greenery: including the Caffarella Park (50 meters from the house) and the adjacent, beautiful and famous 'Archaeological Park of Appia Antica', with the Catacombs of Domitilla, San Callisto, San Sebastiano and the Mausoleums of Cecilia Metella and the Patrizie families of ancient Rome. The Appia Antica Park can be reached on foot, or by shuttle bus n. 660.

It is well served by shops, shopping centers, cinemas, theatres, public green, bus and metro. Via Appia Nuova, Piazza Re di Roma and Via Latina form the backbone of the building and are particularly appreciated by Romans and tourists who like to stroll through the windows. Near the house we can indicate typical restaurants and trattorias.

But also supermarkets, excellent grocery stores, ice cream shops, fast food and the typical "pizzerias to cut" for tasty and cheap snacks.

The whole area is well served by metro A (Furio Camillo stop 2 minutes walk) which leads in about 20 minutes to San Pietro passing through Termini station and Piazza di Spagna, by many buses:
