When in Rome you choose to sleep in the heart of the Eternal City, Ludus Rooms is a place surrounded by beauty. You will be able to admire the ancient ruins of the "Ludus Magnus", the gymnasium where the powerful gladiators trained before fighting in the Colosseum, not to mention the suggestive view of Colle Oppio, which formerly housed the residence of the emperor Nero named by himself "Domus Aura".

Very close to the Colosseum. The room was clean and was cleaned every day. Coffee and water could always be prepared in the kitchen. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was a bit weak, but that's generally the case in Italy. Thanks for the lovely days.

Amazing stay! Perfectly located next to the Colosseum, but peaceful rooms (we stayed in rooms 1 and 3, which didn’t face the street). The host was friendly and always responsive even when not on site. They allowed us to store our bags after check-out, which was super helpful. I also love that they don’t penalise single travellers in terms of room cost - very reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again.

Very convenient as it is located right next to the Colosseum and metro station. Very clean and comfortable bed. Unpleasant the noise that was made by some Chinese guests that used the kitchen at 4 PM when we were trying to rest after 20k steps made that day. No elevator - uncomfortable when you have luggage to carry 2 floors or when there are families with strollers. Overall very good price for location.

A good place to visit once. For being a B&B, they did not offer breakfast. We could not leave the luggage for a couple of hours. There is no elevator, and going up two floors with luggage for someone older or with knee problems is not ideal. The good thing is the coffee/tea corner in the hallway and the lady at the reception who was very kind.

A very nice accommodation with everything needed for a short vacation, including a small kitchenette. The location is perfect, just behind the Colosseum, near the metro station, tram, and bus stops. The historic center is within walking distance. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Thanks to the warm welcome, I felt right at home.

My partner and I stayed in the Ludus Rooms for 4 amazing nights. The rooms are super clean and perfect location. You couldn't ask for a better location or host. Every morning we were greeted by the lovely host and she helped us find local affordable restaurants, helped us plan our days. She was so lovely. I would definitely come back just to see her. Thank you so much for our beautiful stay. We can't wait to come again and highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We are so happy we found Ludus Rooms. The location was perfect for our one night in Rome. Our window looked out over the ruins of Ludus Magnus and also had a view of the Colosseum. Close to metro and Green Line bus stops as well as taxi and regular bus stops. The surrounding restaurants are excellent and very convenient for late night dining. Our host met us when we arrived and also was very helpful in communicating with us ahead of our arrival. Highly recommend Ludus Rooms for anyone looking for a great price and great convenience when staying in Rome.

Great location, impeccable cleanliness, and excellent hospitality. The only downside (not too important for two young people) is the lack of an elevator. We will definitely keep it in mind for a future weekend.

A no frills modest room, clean and quiet. Helpful staff and close to everything. Taxi stand is down the street and in a neighborhood filled with restaurants. A grocery store right around the corner. Our room had a small refrigerator and a complementary coffee maker was down the hall. Affordable and good communications after booking. This was our first trip to Rome and this place was great. We would stay here again.

Very quiet despite the Colosseum-facing location: no disturbance day or night thanks to the double glazing. Spacious and bright room, well furnished with a large equally comfortable bathroom. The check-in procedure was a bit complicated (especially the agreement on the time) as the communications were only online while both landline and mobile phones were disconnected; but once arrived, no problems occurred. Liked the "break" corner in the common kitchen, with biscuits and the possibility to independently prepare a drink with the coffee machine.

Excellent guesthouse a stone's throw from the Colosseum with a view, close to the Colosseum metro, very clean and soundproofed because it has double windows, unfortunately the music from the bars below is noticeable. The staff is a bit absent but still available if requested. Breakfast is not provided but there is a coffee/tea machine and some sweets in the corridor.

Given the prices, we would have liked the towels to be changed. The place is so well located to do many things on foot, with a magnificent view of the Colosseum, the kindness at the reception, the lively and very nice neighborhood! We loved our stay, thank you!
