Description
Situated on the leafy hills of Castellonorato in Formia, La Palomba bed and breakfast offers a magnificent stay in what is arguably considered the most evocative coastal town in Lazio, lying in between rocky mountains and the blue sea of its gulf. This modern yet rustic villa is surrounded by the green wooded hills characterized by the presence of olive trees that gently descend toward the sea, minutes from Formia, lively city centre situated half-way between Rome and Naples.

Formia rises on the south coast of the Gaeta gulf, enclosed in a semicircle by the Aurunci mount chain (max altitude Mount Petrella 1535mt). Its exceptionally mild climate is vastly due to its position between the sea and the calcareous mountains immediately behind it. The Aurunci chain operates as a natural shield against cold winds therefore Formia offers a milder climate compared to the surrounding areas. In Formia often the sun shines even when rain is forecast! For this reason it is highly advisable to call us for whether info.

The B&B La Palomba is located in the hilly hamlet of Castellonorato in the municipality of Formia, a charming town nestled between the Aurunci mountains and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Easily accessible by train and car.

A boarding point for Ischia, Ponza, and Ventotene, located in front of its splendid coast. Formia is rich in archaeological remains and sites, such as the Roman Cisternone, Tomb of Cicero, Roman Port of Gianola, etc., which testify to its ancient origin.

We found the property by chance and we can say loudly that La Palomba kissed us on the forehead! We stayed in this beautiful bed and breakfast for about a week, the place is lovely, very well-kept with a beautiful garden, the view from the room I could define as breathtaking. But what makes it special is the care and passion that the owners put into managing the bed and breakfast, making the guest feel at home. All this should be an example to many star hotels. Un posto davvero curato a pochi minuti da Formia, dalla finestra panorama magnifico sul Golfo di Gaeta e Castellonorato, colazione ricca e casalinga, proprietari estremamente gentili e premurosi.

I proprietari sono stati gentilissimi e disponibilissimi! Ci hanno accolto benissimo e ci hanno dato molte informazioni su dove andare (posti di ristoro, posti da visitare, perfino la ricetta dei loro ottimi biscotti fatti in casa!). Il luogo dove é situato il B&B é comodo e inoltre é in un punto dove non c'é confusione, ottimo per chi vuole staccare la spina! Il posto é fantastico e la casa beh oltre le mie aspettative! Lo consiglio a tutti! Grazie per tutto!

Una struttura situata in una posizione incantevole. Dista 5 minuti di macchina dal centro, ma quei pochi chilometri che lo separano rendono il luogo in cui si trova a dir poco magico. In zona collinare, camere con vista mare che permettono di guardare.

Viaggio spesso per lavoro e trovandomi in zona ho alloggiato a La Palomba, la sensazione è stata quella di "sentirmi a casa", la disponibilità e la familiarità del proprietario hanno reso il mio soggiorno di lavoro, una piccola vacanza, senza contare la colazione della mattina, che ha contribuito a mantenere positivo il mio umore per tutta la giornata, non esiterò a tornarci non appena ne avrò occasione, o perché no, non esiterò a creare l'occasione per poterci tornare.

Ho passato col la mia famiglia, una bellissima settimana alla Palomba. Più che elencare le ottime qualità della struttura (si vedono dal sito che rispecchia la realtà), mi preme sottolineare la squisita e professionale disponibilità del gestore/proprietario che insieme al suo staff fa sentire i suoi ospiti come a casa propria: questo è secondo me il vero valore aggiunto di una vacanza o anche di un breve soggiorno. Complimenti!

Io e mia moglie ci aspettavamo la solita vecchia casa modificata per diventare un B&B, invece questa è una villa di nuova costruzione e tenuta come un gioiello. Dopo una giornata di mare e di caldo, è stato molto piacevole potersi rifugiare nel fresco di questa villa in collina. La posizione è ottimale, fuori dal caos e a solo 10 minuti dal centro. La nostra camera era spaziosa e molto panoramica. La colazione super, anche troppa roba. L'auto parcheggiata nel giardino La disponibilità del gestore ha completato il quadro. Torneremo certamente.
