Situated on the leafy hills of Castellonorato in Formia, La Palomba bed and breakfast offers a magnificent stay in what is arguably considered the most evocative coastal town in Lazio, lying in between rocky mountains and the blue sea of its gulf. This modern yet rustic villa is surrounded by the green wooded hills characterized by the presence of olive trees that gently descend toward the sea, minutes from Formia, lively city centre situated half-way between Rome and Naples.

Formia rises on the south coast of the Gaeta gulf, enclosed in a semicircle by the Aurunci mount chain (max altitude Mount Petrella 1535mt). Its exceptionally mild climate is vastly due to its position between the sea and the calcareous mountains immediately behind it. The Aurunci chain operates as a natural shield against cold winds therefore Formia offers a milder climate compared to the surrounding areas. In Formia often the sun shines even when rain is forecast! For this reason it is highly advisable to call us for whether info.

We stayed in this beautiful bed and breakfast for about a week, the place is lovely, very well-kept with a beautiful garden, the view from the room I could define as breathtaking. But what makes it special is the care and passion that the owners put into managing the bed and breakfast, making the guest feel at home. All this should be an example to many star hotels. A really well-kept place just a few minutes from Formia, with a magnificent view of the Gulf of Gaeta and Castellonorato from the window, rich and homemade breakfast, extremely kind and caring owners.

The owners were very kind and extremely helpful! They welcomed us very well and gave us a lot of information on where to go (dining places, places to visit, even the recipe for their excellent homemade cookies!). The location of the B&B is convenient and it's in a quiet area, great for those who want to unwind! The place is fantastic and the house, well, beyond my expectations! La Palomba is a place I recommend to everyone! Thank you for everything!

A structure located in a charming position. It is 5 minutes by car from the center, but those few kilometers that separate it make the place where it is located nothing short of magical. In a hilly area, rooms with sea view that allow you to look.

I often travel for work and found myself in the area, so I stayed at La Palomba. The feeling was that of 'feeling at home'. The availability and familiarity of the owner made my work stay feel like a little vacation, not to mention the breakfast in the morning, which helped keep my mood positive throughout the day. I will not hesitate to return as soon as I have the opportunity, or why not, I will not hesitate to create the opportunity to go back.

I spent a wonderful week at La Palomba with my family. Rather than listing the excellent qualities of the property, which are visible on the website and reflect reality, I want to emphasize the exquisite and professional availability of the manager and owner who, along with his staff, makes his guests feel at home. My wife and I expected the usual old house modified to become a Bed and Breakfast, instead this is a newly built villa maintained like a jewel. After a day at the beach and in the heat, it was very pleasant to be able to take refuge in the coolness of this villa in the hills. The location is optimal, away from the chaos and only 10 minutes from the center. Our room was spacious and very panoramic. The breakfast was excellent, perhaps even too much food. The car was parked in the garden. The availability of the manager completed the picture. We will certainly return.
