Inn Urbe Colosseo

Perfect property for couples, comfortable and especially close to the main points of interest (Colosseum, Roman Forums), well connected and located in a fairly quiet area. The room is very clean, minimal but equipped with all necessities, with a small shared area with a microwave and a coffee machine. Large bathroom with a waterfall shower. The woman who manages the property and our stay is very helpful, kind, and took care of all our needs, questions, and requests in an exceptional way.

Great location. Spacious quadruple room with two bathrooms and a beautiful little terrace. The host was courteous and responsive. One note: the room was on the fourth floor with no elevator, and I don't recall reading that. We only had a backpack, but with suitcases it would have been challenging. Overall, great stay.

Warm and friendly welcome, with great attentiveness and willingness to accommodate any simple requests. Would definitely return.

This BnB was fabulous. We stayed on the fourth floor in an incredible apartment, very clean and recently refurbished. The location was excellent and the rooms were really big. We would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

Very nice.

Spacious and well-renovated room with an anteroom available with small tables, fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. There is also a kettle in the room and a basket to have breakfast (even though it is not included in the conditions). Federica was very kind and attentive. Recommended.

Everything is perfect: the price, the location, the room. The shared kitchen is very pleasant. The host is extremely helpful and responsive. Room amenities: everything is provided. Go there with your eyes closed and enjoy.

Only drawback: room on the fourth floor without an elevator.

In a historic setting we found courtesy, great helpfulness and very welcoming, clean rooms. I recommend it.

Everything was perfect. Spacious room, very comfortable beds, spectacular shower. A short walk from the Cavour metro stop, welcome snacks and water (not something to be taken for granted). I recommend Inn Urbe because our experience was excellent.

I stayed 4 nights, but towels were not replaced in the room.

Family vacation. Strategic location, spacious, clean and functional room. The host was very courteous and professional. We felt at ease. If we return to Rome we will definitely consider this property.

I chose the place because it is located in Rome but a bit shielded from the crowds. The area is really nice and close to streets with cafés and nice shops. The hosts were friendly. There was a fridge in the common area with extra water and drinks for a fee, but it was convenient in the hot weather. However, there is no reception at night. What I did not like was the cleaning. I was given two cups of coffee. I used the first and left a sign requesting cleaning. When I came back, the cups were turned upside down, so I thought they had cleaned the used one, but it was still dirty. They provide towels every three days, and you have to pay for extras. The shared floor door lock is noisy.

Great facility and really friendly manager!

Ideal accommodation, due to its proximity to the station and the Colosseum (and therefore to many other places). Very nice, well-kept, and lively street/area where nothing is missing. Quiet and clean, I only experienced it for the 6 hours of sleep. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect to the wifi. I used the indicated passwords well, but it didn't work. And in the shower, the shower gel/shampoo was finished. Other than that, everything was okay. I will return to the Inn Urbe and recommend it (to those who can obviously climb stairs).

Terrible place. Five blocks from the Colosseum. Very close to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele where the metro to the fountain departs (10 minutes travel). Metro at the corner that takes you to catch the bus to Castel Romano. (The best outlet). Federica very kind and everything perfect. You can't hear a sound. The area is very safe.

Great place to stay. We liked the Monti location, near restaurants and Cavour metro. The room size was good for city centre, good AC, nice to have a little kitchen area. Water in fridges really appreciated. Safe for valuables in the rooms. Guide books to use. We would stay here again!

Fantastic location, excellent host, clean room! Walking distance to the Colosseum, train station, great restaurants and gelaterias. The hosts were very responsive if we had questions or needed anything. I would 100% stay here again!

Great, the place is close to everything, the bathroom and shower are top-notch. The bed is super comfy. The lady at the reception was very kind. We were able to leave our luggage even after checkout. Highly recommended!

Hotel in an excellent location, just steps from the Colosseum: perfect for exploring Rome comfortably on foot. The rooms are beautiful and clean, well maintained in detail. A special thanks to Federica, the owner, who is a truly kind and helpful person, always ready to make guests feel at home. I have already been here twice and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

We stayed for two nights. The room was beautiful, spacious, brand new, with an excellent bathroom and shower, and a good Wi-Fi connection. There's a hall that connects to two other rooms where you’ll find a small table, a microwave, and a coffee maker. In your room, there’s an electric kettle with tea bags and a small fridge that’s perfect for basic use. Federica was very helpful and communicative—you talk to her via WhatsApp. The location is more than perfect—we walked to the Colosseum both during the day and at night. There are bars and restaurants, especially along Via Urbana (there’s also a Carrefour and other small markets in that area). The Cavour metro station is very close, which makes it easy to get around. We felt safe both day and night, keeping in mind the usual precautions for a big city like Rome, but the area is full of tourists. It was more than perfect.

The B&B is located in a strategic area just a few steps from the station and about ten minutes from the Colosseum (25 minutes from Circus Maximus on foot). Also not far from the subway. Federica was very kind and helpful from the start in making guests feel comfortable. The room was clean and well-kept (the welcome basket was appreciated). I recommend the place to anyone who wants to stay in Rome in the city center but also close to transportation.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights here and it was very enjoyable. The room was very clean and fresh. The room had wifi, a TV, A/C, a mini-fridge with a few complementary drinks (refilled daily) and a bathroom with a nice shower. The room was cleaned daily and the host contacted us before arrival with all information for self check-in. No elevator, no problem. Very nice stay. Colosseum was just a short 5 minute walk or so. The common room also had snacks and coffee/tea to enjoy.

A disappointing experience, despite the place’s good potential.\n\nTHE GOOD:\n\n- The property is recently renovated, modern, and clean.\n- The bed is very comfortable and provides a good night’s sleep.\n- A small dry breakfast is provided, which is convenient.\n- The complementary espresso coffee is excellent.\n- Check-in was quick and smooth.\n- The windows and doors are high-quality; the room is very well soundproofed — no noise from outside.\n- The location is good if you're staying more than three nights in Rome: it's a quiet area, well connected, with some local life and charm.\n\nTHE BAD:\n\n- If you're only staying for 2 or 3 nights, you may be better off staying closer to the Pantheon or the central area. From this location, walking to many major tourist spots (like Trastevere, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, or the Colosseum) can be quite long and tiring.\n- There is no elevator, and you might have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs — rooms are located on the first, third, and even fourth floors.\n- The pillows are extremely thin and uncomfortable, making it hard to rest properly.\n- Communication with the hosts is not smooth. They mainly rely on phone calls, even for topics that had already been explained via WhatsApp, and they often leave written messages unanswered. This creates confusion and makes simple things harder to resolve than necessary.\n- When we accidentally left the room key card inside (something that can happen to anyone), we called for help. The response was: “You have to remember to take it with you,” in a cold and condescending tone — as if they were doing us a favor by helping us re-enter the room. There was no understanding or willingness to make things easier. If they provided two key cards or a code-based system, this situation could easily be avoided.\n- In room 303, every time the shower is used, water leaks out and floods part of the room. Maintenance confirmed the problem is that the shower door doesn’t seal properly. However, the host insisted that "guests should just use it properly," which is unfair and shows a complete lack of accountability. We were also told, “This is not a five-star hotel,” as if that excused the fact that you can’t take a proper shower without soaking the floor.\n- To their credit, they did send someone to look at the shower issue, but what was truly disappointing was the attitude: they refused to acknowledge any structural flaws in the property and preferred to blame the guest instead of taking responsibility. Despite requesting it, there was no apology, no compensation, and no goodwill gesture of any kind.\n- Since we were two couples (an older couple and a younger one), we noticed a deliberate attempt to create confusion in communication. When we asked for some compensation for the inconvenience, the owner claimed that "a discount had already been given." In reality, that so-called “discount” was simply because we paid in cash — something that had been agreed upon from the beginning. The owner seemed to play both sides, saying different things to each couple, to give the impression that some gesture had been made, when in fact, it hadn’t.\n\nConclusion:\nThe property has solid facilities and could offer a comfortable stay. However, what truly made the experience disappointing was the lack of empathy, transparency, and ownership from the hosts. If everything goes smoothly, you might enjoy your stay. But if any issue arises — even a minor one — you’re very likely to be blamed as the guest, rather than being treated with understanding. And that, more than any physical flaw, is what truly ruins the experience.

Very good location, clean and large bedroom. Complimentary juice and snacks appreciated. If you have heavy luggage, ask for the first floor bedrooms as it might be challenging to reach floor 3 without an elevator.

I have been visiting Inn Urbe Colosseo for years and I am always very satisfied.

Our stay was exceptional! From the warm welcome to check-out, everything was handled with care and attention by Mrs. Federica, a thoughtful, kind, helpful, and very organized person. Rare and difficult qualities to discover and find in a person! The apartment was impeccably clean, fantastic location, with street parking just 3 minutes on foot from the center and the metro. Highly recommended.

We stayed only one night, optimal location, well-made room. The only downside is that the price should include breakfast to be called B.B, also the common areas should have a bathroom for any needs. But otherwise, the rules are not always the same for everyone. Overall acceptable for one night.

The room was very clean, the spaces and furnishings are designed down to the smallest detail. Breakfast is not included, but there is an electric kettle with tea and coffee, cups, spoons, and a basket with some snacks, jam, and Nutella. There is also a mini-fridge with bottles of water and fruit juices. Highly recommended.

I stayed here with friends for one night. Clean room and new bathroom. Comfortable bed but the pillows are a bit less because they are too low (personal taste). In the room, they left us some sweets and instant coffee but not for 3 people. Anyway, good! In the fridge, water and juices. I recommend it!

My family of five stayed at this property for three nights. We were in a suite on the fourth floor, which consisted of two bedrooms each with its own bathroom. There is a common area (microwave, refrigerator with drinks at a reasonable cost - honor system, espresso maker, toaster) that serves both the suites on the fourth floor. One of the bedrooms has a small balcony over the back of the building - not particularly scenic, but was nice and cozy (and good for drying clothes).\n\nThe rooms and bathroom fixtures were modern and spotlessly clean. There was daily room cleaning during our stay.\n\nFederica, our host, was very patient and nice. She helped us with booking a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay.\n\nThe value for the cost was great! The location is about a 7-8 minute walk to the Colosseum and Forum, and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The neighborhood appeared to be very safe and quiet.\n\nThe only downside to the property is that there is no elevator (which we were aware of when we booked). So, having a suite on the fourth floor was difficult for the luggage, and sometimes tiring to get to after a long day of walking around the city. (In Europe, the ground floor is floor 0, not 1 like in the U.S., so it involves climbing four full flights of stairs.) Federica told me that they hoped to get an elevator installed eventually - apparently they are waiting for the owner of the second floor of the building to sell it to them so that they can install one. If you have trouble with stairs, you may wish to ask for one of the rooms on the first floor.\n\nAll in all, we were very happy with our stay and will put Inn Urbe Colosseo on the top of our list if and when we return to Rome.

We were very satisfied.

We stayed in a family apartment. The rooms are spacious, with 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. There is a shared kitchenette for two apartments, and a nice balcony. There is no door separating the rooms, and there’s a light at the entrance to the apartment that turns on whenever there’s movement near the door. Although we knew in advance – there are a lot of stairs, and it’s difficult to go up with suitcases.

We stayed during the bridge of June 2nd. Perfect location between Termini and the Colosseum, 150 meters from the Cavour stop. In 10 minutes on foot you are at the Colosseum. Large and spacious room, well maintained and clean, with a recently built bathroom (shower tray available). Breakfast not requested, but products available in the room with a pod coffee machine in the common area, mini fridge constantly stocked with water and juices. 3 wonderful days.

The lack of an elevator makes accessing the apartments difficult, but the room was clean and spacious. It would be nice to have another chair in the room. I liked that the refrigerator had water and juice in it and that we had access to a kitchen and a seating area with a table. The balcony was enjoyable. I think the room and service were worth the money.

I would say I enjoyed the location, everything is close by and there is easy access to the place with simple instructions.

The structure is very welcoming with new and modern interiors. The owners were very kind. One downside is the lack of an elevator, especially for us who were on the fourth floor. But everything else is really perfect, I highly recommend it and I would gladly return.

Beautiful place very spacious.

Great bed and breakfast. I highly recommend it for a stay in Rome, both for business and leisure. It is located close to both line A and line B of the metro. Excellent coffee and even though breakfast in the room is not provided, there are small snacks for a quick breakfast and also juice in the fridge.

Inn Urbe Colosseo is located close to the Colosseum, an 8-minute walk. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. Be ready to carry your bags up a lot of stairs. They have a few snacks in the room with water and a juice/coffee maker. We had the 3rd floor to ourselves (4 rooms) a small community room in the center of all that we could all sit and talk. There are several GREAT restaurants right down the street (4 minutes walk) and a good morning café (3-minute walk). It was a bit noisy at night as other families were going up and down the stairs after 11 pm. It's about 10 minutes to the train station by taxi. I wouldn't suggest walking to the train station, it's uphill and all cobblestone sidewalk if you're carrying bags. Taxi was 12 euros. There's an app called Free Now (it's like Uber) HIGHLY suggest using it to get around. Overall the 3rd floor rooms had just been remodeled and were very nice. If they had an elevator I would stay again.

Wonderful stay in this accommodation. Very well located to walk to any point in the center. The room was very clean and we really liked the details of juices, water, and snacks. The staff was very friendly.

I stayed here for one week and it was just perfect! Quiet, clean, easy to walk to the main attractions, and Federica is a lovely and helpful host. I am looking forward to come back, one week is far from enough for a city like Rome!

Nice stay, very well located establishment.

Very good, perfect location close to everything and new and very comfortable rooms with all the equipment, to repeat.

Very good overall, but no one warned us that the room was on the fourth floor without an elevator until we arrived.

The structure has just been renovated near the Colosseum. There is no breakfast but the owner is very kind, attentive, and very helpful. She leaves sweets, coffee, etc. in the rooms. I came back last night and would leave today. I recommend it.

Perfect location to visit Rome. In 15 minutes on foot, you can reach Termini station, in 12 minutes the Colosseum, and it is located 2 minutes from the Cavour metro stop. Our train was delayed, but the check-in was still easy and efficient. Very warm and welcoming reception, we received great advice on how to get around and where to eat. We will return!

Strategic location and impeccable hospitality. The ground floor room had a dark and bleak view compared to the centrality of the structure. We had problems on Sunday morning because we woke up with the room and bathroom cold, without radiators on, so we couldn’t take a shower. At the reception service, there was no one to turn to, and even if someone had intervened, there wouldn’t have been enough time to heat up the environment and proceed with the tour we had planned. Nevertheless, we found ourselves very well apart from this incident.

We stayed for 4 nights, the stay was very comfortable at the very nice location with good restaurants and bars around. Overall everything is good, however shower door could be fixed to close completely in order to not let the water comes out on bathroom floor.

Superb accommodation, with a small very pleasant terrace. It is very well located in the center of Rome, the main monuments are within walking distance, the Termini station is 10/15 minutes on foot and the metro is at the foot of the building. The owner Federica is charming. The breakfast is very good with fresh pastries. We had an excellent stay there!

This is my second time, I found myself well, even better than the first. Mrs. Federica is very kind and quick, it is a pity I did not meet her in person. She helped me a lot before the reservation, very capable. I will return.

The room was modern and clean and very centrally located. Everything was actually easily accessible on foot, and when the feet were tired from all the sightseeing, there were several stops nearby. Also, the hostess Frederica was very warm-hearted.

The rooms need refreshed paint, and attention to mold in the showers. The shower was out of hot water two days out of six during my stay. This property is adequate for the location and price.

Great structure, well organized.

The rooms were great. Our host Frederica was most helpful. We want to thank her and her husband for watching our bags, which were returned to Inn Urbe Colosseo while we were out to dinner. They were extremely communicative and had everything covered in terms of the room and the stay.

Structure close to the metro in a central area. Many good quality restaurants nearby. Good breakfast and excellent cleanliness. Friendly and present manager. For the city of Rome, the cost per night is adequate.

We stayed 3 days in this B&B and we felt really good. We were welcomed by Mrs. Federica who gave us useful information about getting around. The structure is located a stone's throw from the Cavour metro and not far from the Roma Termini station, in a quiet but very convenient place for all itineraries. The B&B has just been refurbished with excellent taste and is very clean. The breakfast is not abundant but offers what is necessary. We definitely recommend it.

Great location for my needs and the locations I needed to visit, so no need for any transportation. Easy walk from Termini station. Kind and responsive staff, and comfortable rooms/beds. I will definitely use again when needed. Guests should be aware that rooms require use of stairs to access. Breakfast food was simple and while a nice gesture will not impress those wishing more than some carbohydrates and a cup of instant coffee.

Great bed and breakfast that is very close to the metro and Colosseum, but tucked away enough that you feel removed from the hustle and bustle and noise of the city.

Very close to the Colosseum, I recommend it. Nevertheless, make sure you contact via WhatsApp before your stay, as reception is only open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

I cannot say enough about this charming B&B. The location is just close enough to all the best sites in Rome, but far enough away to be out of the fray of the tourists. The rooms were clean, and comfy. The breakfasts were delicious and everything was thought of for our stay. Federica is a wonderful host and was very accommodating during our stay. Thank you so much Federica for a lovely time in Roma.

Location, location, location, location! Everything is a hop away, made touring Rome a breeze! Federica was very attentive and helpful, especially on the last day of our stay as we had to keep our luggage secured in a safe place because our flight was at night and check out was in the morning.

Nice place. Not too noisy. Comfort and room size completely sufficient to set up your base and explore Rome from here.

Excellent location near Termini Station but in a quiet neighborhood just a stone's throw from the Colosseum and Colle Oppio. Ideal for those who then have to leave for Fiumicino without having to stay in Fiumicino.

I stayed for just one night. Inn Urbe Colosseo is a wonderful facility with a great location adjacent to the Colosseum yet peaceful at the same time. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest details and super clean. Federica was wonderful, very kind and helpful. I really liked the breakfast, excellent quality and the cute idea of serving it in picnic baskets.

Inn Urbe Colosseo is a great place to stay during your visit to Rome. The manager Federica is extremely kind and always ready to help. I had a very pleasant 3-night stay at the Inn Urbe Colosseo, during my visit to Rome for work. It is very well located near the Colosseum in the city center and near a metro station. The room was cool, clean, and very comfortable with a very nice shower and, if needed, a good working air conditioner. Breakfast was offered in a basket in the room and meets the Italian standard and was sufficient for me. In the evening, the room was quiet and the bed slept very well. So I had a very good and comfortable time.

Everything was great, I really enjoyed my stay there, and I look forward to visiting this place another time.

New and well-maintained structure close to the Colosseum. Located in a quiet area, very close to Cavour station and central, allowing you to reach all the attractions on foot. Everything absolutely perfect. Very close to the Colosseum, metro station just 2 steps away and clean and functional structure. 10 minutes walk from Termini and the same to get to the Colosseum. Also great breakfast. In conclusion HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Incredible location, great value, and friendly hosts. What really amazed me was how quiet and private it felt despite being so close to major tourist spots. Absolutely worth a look if you're staying in Rome.

We had a great time at Inn Urbe. It is located in the best area of the center, but it's not crowded. We did not use public transportation because we could access all historical places on foot from the B&B. The host was really kind and helpful. I will definitely choose this property again.

Coming from NW USA we didn’t know what to expect from a B&B in Rome. Federica was a perfect hostess. Great location. No complaints.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Rome at Inn Urbe Colosseo. Access was really easy and straightforward, with great communication from Federica. The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. Bed was big and comfortable, the shower was really good too. Located on quite a busy street, our room was surprisingly quiet once the windows were shut. Very peaceful. Location was good, close to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, as well as lots of lovely restaurants and the Metro too. Federica was really friendly and helpful, so nice to chat to her in the mornings. Breakfast is left out for guests the day before - there's plenty to choose from, and you can take the hamper back to your room. The coffee machine in the room is great, we really appreciated how well we were catered for, with juice, water, yoghurt, pastries, toast and little biscuits and cakes each morning. I'd definitely recommend Inn Urbe Colosseo to friends and family looking for a really easy and comfortable stay in Rome. Thank you so much for having us Federica!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here greatly. We loved the location near the fun Monti area and the Colosseum and Francesca was a lovely host. Everything in the space was in great condition and if we return to Rome, we would love to stay here again.

The host was absolutely amazing, as was everything else. The location was convenient, just a minute away from the Metro station.

We had a great time at this small property. We found the area extremely quiet, just steps away from the metro, so very convenient. We never saw other guests (even though there were some), so maximum privacy. The room was impeccable, with all the essential comforts. The excellent value for money is truly exceptional. We will gladly return and recommend it to our friends. Federica, the owner, is very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for a very pleasant stay! Have a great summer!

This is a great choice for those not looking for luxury. I’m giving it full points for the value. It was clean, safe, located in a wonderful area of Rome, delightful hosts, comfortable bed, very quiet. It was excellent value for the money.

It was absolutely perfect! We were able to walk everywhere in Rome as everything was close by. The place was nice, clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The owners were incredibly friendly! Our stay was perfect and we fell in love with Rome. The restaurants, trattorias, and charming streets were all within walking distance. It's only a five-minute walk from the Colosseum and ancient Roman structures. Amazing!

Wonderful location, clean and comfortable room/bed. Federica was a wonderful host and gave us detailed recommendations on dining and shopping. The building is easy to enter and is literally a 10-minute walk from the Colosseo. The breakfast picnic box was also a wonderful treat, as is the complementary mini bar. Monti is also, in my opinion, one of the two best locations to stay in Rome in terms of being close enough to walk and not to see too many tourists. Would definitely stay here again!

Federica welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips and a city map regarding the metro and attractions. We felt very comfortable and will definitely choose the Inn Urbe Colosseo again for our next stay in Rome. All perfect!

Federica is a great host, very friendly. The place has a great location to walk to most places and it’s also close to a metro station. The street is not too noisy, but in any case the soundproof window works wonders. Bed was super comfy, firm; pillows were also good. Great water pressure in the shower. Excellent structure in the most beautiful district of Rome, a stone's throw from the Forums and the Colosseum, reachable in 10 minutes on foot from Termini station. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, the bathroom is new, and the mattress is very comfortable. Quiet rooms and perfect cleanliness. We really liked the option of the breakfast box, a truly abundant and excellent breakfast. Moreover, the fridge in the room is very useful, we also found fresh drinks available (included in the price) and a kettle/espresso coffee machine with pods and tea/herbal teas in the room. We had a great time, we can't wait to come back! Thank you Federica!

A very recommendable Bed & Breakfast in Rome. Great value for money compared to what's around there. The location allows you to walk from Termini and you are a 5-minute walk from the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums. Federica is very kind and the idea of the breakfast box is very good, although I missed some salty product and/or a piece of fruit, but it has juice in a carton, yogurt, and many sweet things.

Very beautiful and welcoming structure located in an optimal position to easily reach on foot the monuments and archaeological areas of Rome. It is practically a stone's throw from the Colosseum and the Imperial Fora and from the beautiful area of Suburra. The owner is very kind, very hospitable, and with great taste in all the details including breakfast. Also, there is a very well-made brochure that among other things indicates the best places in the area and guides the guest well for any need.

The B&B is lovingly and tastefully decorated, the location is central but still quiet. The service is excellent. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is clean and modern. The air conditioning works very well. I can only highly recommend the Inn Urbe Colosseo.
