"Il Vecchio Treno" is familiar, informal, and welcoming. It is located in the center of Tivoli, behind the train station, at the foot of the Monte Catillo Reserve, 5 minutes from Villa Gregoriana and the historic center.

There are rooms on the third floor whitout elevator and apartments on the ground floor. The accommodations offer services suitable to meet various needs. They are spacious, airy, bright, with TV, air conditioning, heating, private facilities, soundproof windows, and independent entrance.

INCLUDED SERVICES
air conditioning, free wifi, free re-entry, tourist map, overnight motorcycle and bicycle shelter, bicycle workshop, pets are welcome.

- We have arranged a breakfast kit to freely enjoy a good coffee, tea, barley, ginseng, and various snacks.

- Personal Check-in: We personally greet our guests, assist with parking, and provide all necessary tourist maps and materials.

- Cleaning every 3 days, additional cleaning upon request.

- We offer the Tivoli card for a 10% discount at all restaurants, pizzerias, bakeries, ice cream shops, bars, and shops affiliated with the circuit.

- We accept all credit cards. Open year-round.

We do not have private parking, but adjacent to the structure (about 50 meters) is the train station parking lot.

It is one of the few free parking lots in the center of Tivoli, wooded, and very quiet, as the area is constantly busy with commuters, tourists, and students.

The guarded parking is 200 meters away (€1 every 2 hours).

We offer free garage for motorcycles and bicycles.

Tivoli, a city of art and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is located 32 km from Rome and 12 km from Guidonia. We are situated right behind the railway station, just 300 meters from Villa Gregoriana Park, at the foot of the Monte Catillo Nature Reserve.

Tivoli is well-connected to Rome (35 km away) both by public transport (trains every 30 minutes) and via the L’Aquila-Rome highway.
Our guest house is located in the center of Tivoli, directly facing the FS railway station. The area is very quiet and safe, even for your car, which you can park for free in the station area.

Getting around on foot:
5 minutes: Villa Gregoriana and the Temple of the Sibyl.
10 minutes: The historic center, Villa d’Este, the Bleso Amphitheatre, and Rocca Pia.

Nearby & Surroundings:
Villa Adriana is 5 km away; slightly further along, you can enjoy the sulfurous waters of the Thermal Baths.
Recommended trip: For guests staying more than 3 days, we suggest a visit to the Monasteries of Saint Benedict and Saint Scholastica in Subiaco (40 km).

Ci fa piacere, inoltre, che abbia gradito il set per il tè; sono proprio questi piccoli dettagli, uniti a un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, a rendere il soggiorno al 'Vecchio Treno' un po' più speciale. Speriamo di riaverla presto a bordo per la sua prossima tappa a Tivoli!

The very kind manager waited for us upon arrival, taking care of the luggage and reserving a parking spot for us (difficult to find nearby). The room, inside a somewhat dated building, was sufficiently clean but really too small for 3 adults! Breakfast was not included in our reservation, but there was still the possibility to make a coffee and heat the milk in the microwave. I would remove the toast and the cookies that expire in 2024!

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation, conveniently close to the train station. The owner very kindly allowed us to leave our bags there to fit in with our train times. She also gave us a map and advice which was very helpful.

Great for visiting Tivoli, Villa d'Este, and Villa Gregoriana. The latter, which is the one we wanted to visit, is about 300 meters away. The entire center is within walking distance. Moreover, the owner collaborates with Villa Gregoriana, so we couldn't ask for more precise directions and a more suitable location. We were not aware of this collaboration. The value for money is excellent. The building looks a bit ugly externally but is well renovated inside. The trains cannot be heard.

The welcome from Mrs. Giovanna makes you feel immediately at ease. She recommended both the most interesting places to visit and a great typical restaurant! The studio apartment is equipped with everything you need, including a washing machine, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. Although there is no parking on site, you can park in the very close station parking, which is free. The location is very good, a 5/10 minute walk to the center, and the train station is nearby so you can reach Rome by train without using a car.

Convenient location close to the historic center, a bit noisy not because of the trains but due to a quite busy road. Window with new fixtures to contain the noise but rather warm inside and air conditioner not very cooling. New studio, overall good. Kind and helpful owners. A few hundred meters from Tivoli station, kind manager, excellent breakfast, exemplary cleanliness and a spacious room with a kitchenette. Perfect for bike lovers as there is not only space for bikes but also a real workshop equipped with bike stands and all kinds of keys, will definitely return.

The super welcome from Alessandro and the hospitality made us feel almost like his relatives. The owner loves what he does and knows how to take care of his customers, advising and guiding them to make the stay a true travel experience. We enjoyed all the comforts, free parking 100 meters away. The location is close to the station, easily reachable by car, and the center is easily reached on foot in 6/8 minutes passing through the most beautiful part of Tivoli. The rooms are renovated and equipped with all comforts: very comfortable beds, a breakfast full of everything (a sea of stuff); homemade donuts and jam, Italian fruit. It's a real pleasure for the quality of the products and for the atmosphere in which it takes place, background music, attention to detail where breakfast is served, it's the top. I recommend it 1000 times over.

I read negative reviews about the fact that there are stairs. They really aren't so many to complain about! The service is good. Alessandro's service was excellent, the room is simple and well-furnished. It should be noted that the property is close to the train station, but there is not much noise anyway. Moreover, it's easy to reach the B&B. I will return.

Hello! I stayed at this excellent Bed and Breakfast for just (and unfortunately) one night, for a brief trip. The property is perfectly managed with kindness, availability, and pleasant cordiality, the environment reserved for me turned out to be a real little gem, all the amenities at hand with the addition of independence and a very short distance from the historic center and especially the train station, for those, like me, traveling by rail. Highly recommended. I send warm greetings to Alessandro who assisted me, and to Giovanna, whom I did not meet directly, but the compliments for her exquisite chocolate cake are deserved. Thank you very much for everything and, surely, until next time!

The two owners are truly exquisite people; they are friendly, caring, kind, and always ready to help you solve any problem or show you the things to see in Tivoli (which are many). The breakfast is fabulous, the property is tastefully decorated, and the wifi network works perfectly. Frankly, I recommend Il Vecchio Treno to all those who want to go to Tivoli.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights, we stayed in the apartment. Alessandro was very kind, he gave us all the useful information for our vacation, he recommended where to eat and even booked a dinner for my birthday. Clean and well-furnished apartment, good breakfast: the only flaw is the really annoying noise from the street that can be heard even with the windows closed.\n\nApart from that, we recommend it to everyone!

The manager of the structure is very kind, welcoming, and sociable. He makes you feel as if you were at home and not in a bed and breakfast. Starting from the well-furnished room, to the services offered, up to breakfast, culinary delights and a relaxing atmosphere have intoxicated every morning. Everything turned out perfect. The structure deserves the highest rating because it is managed by competent staff. The breakfast in the morning is abundant with homemade pastries, the rooms are very clean with the highest comforts and the towels are soft, washed with excellent detergent. The location is close to the station and therefore ideal for visiting Tivoli and its surroundings. I will return.
