Governo Vecchio Guest House

Very functional!

The property is very close to everything: in the centre of Rome, a short walk from Piazza Navona and Palazzo Madama. There is a pharmacy, supermarket, bar, restaurants and shops on the corner of the building. The room is fairly clean, but we were not told at the time of booking that there are very steep stairs to access it, nor that it was a basement. The room is very damp. Very expensive and does not include breakfast. Staff and managers are very nice, kind and very helpful.

I had a great time.

The place was clean and the host was awesome and very accommodating. It is in a great area with lots of restaurants, shops, and sightseeing. Very reasonably priced. I would stay again.

I love this property! I took the train from Naples to Rome, then took a bus and it wasn’t even a minute walk before we made it to the front door of the property! I was greeted immediately after wandering for a few seconds, was treated kindly and was given the layout of the property! I love that there’s a lively area with restaurants and places for drinks near the property! Very convenient. I was able to walk to the Vatican, Trevi, and several other sites without an issue and rather quickly. The location, was prime for what I had planned. The bed was very comfortable, great shower and spacious for two people. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location to visit Governo Vecchio Guest House on foot. Very good welcome; hostess always attentive and available to answer our questions.

Great location right in the center, reachable from the station by bus. Very welcoming and kind staff. Quiet and peaceful. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, a coffee pod machine, and a microwave to heat something up. Nice bathroom with a hairdryer. The only observation for the manager is to check the batteries of the TV remote control, we couldn't get it to work! Otherwise, Governo Vecchio Guest House will be my reference point in Rome.

We will keep in mind the property for future trips to Rome and I will recommend it to acquaintances. Everything very well. Comfortable, clean, and incredibly quiet. Both the owner and the collaborator are helpful and welcoming. Thank you.

Great room, spacious, very clean and well-maintained. If I had to mention a downside, the window blind couldn't be lifted, I think it was for security reasons, since the accommodation is on the ground floor. The host Marco is unbeatable, friendly, attentive, and willing to help in everything.

We stayed in the quadruple room with my husband and our 2 children. Great location for visiting all the monuments as well as restaurants and osterias. Behind Castel Sant'Angelo/Piazza Navona, a stone's throw from San Pietro, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain. Perfect for dinner and drinks are the adjacent venues and the very close Trastevere. The b&b managers are welcoming and helpful. The structure is exceptionally quiet. It is located on the raised ground floor and the window overlooks the little courtyard of the building, so there is no view... but it's convenient because there is no disturbance from the street and nearby venues. We will definitely come back.

We stayed at this property for 4 days from April 21st to April 24th, 2022. The management, in this case Mrs. Luciana, is very kind and helpful. The room is very well equipped: television, refrigerator, kitchen, coffee machine, microwave, a nice functional shower, hairdryer, in short, everything you need and everything works, which is not little. We stayed in the blue room, practically visited all the beauties of Rome on foot: Piazza Navona is 100 meters away, Campo de' Fiori, Trevi Fountain, practically the room is located in the center of all the most famous monuments of Rome. I recommend it for both the location and functionality.

My husband and I had a great time. It is the first time we have used a bed-and-breakfast.it and I must say that it is an excellent solution for staying in an art city. We enjoyed this property thanks also to the availability and courtesy of Mrs. Luciana and Mr. Marco, very attentive to our needs. The blue room where we spent three nights is very beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. It is also in a strategic position, behind Piazza Navona and close to all the city centers, so much so that we visited it all on foot, without using any means of transport. Despite being in a central area, the room was very quiet, as if it were soundproofed. Also very close to the taxi station. In short, nothing to say except for an excellent stay. We will definitely return!

Excellent facility, clean and in a very convenient area. Kind, courteous, and very helpful staff. We had a problem with hot water but it was resolved on the same day, even though it was Sunday. Breakfast not included but there is a small fridge and a coffee machine (with pods included) in the room. Highly recommended!

The property is brand new and has a truly great location. I stayed in a spacious single room, with a large bathroom and a very functional shower. The owners are very kind and helpful, I recommend staying at the Governo Vecchio Guest House.

Cleanliness, courtesy, kindness. All perfect, very central location and excellent for visiting Rome. The owner is a down-to-earth, friendly, and helpful person! No flaws, moreover the structure is brand new and spacious. I will definitely come back!

Perfect for visiting Rome. The manager Marco, a lovely and extremely helpful person, welcomed us as if we were old friends. The property is very recent, modern, and tastefully decorated. Central location, situated on a secondary street, quiet at night but a stone's throw from Piazza Navona and many lively nearby venues. We were accommodated in the quadruple room: beautiful loft with a double bed and a bathroom on par with a 4-star hotel. The only flaw (if we really want to find one): the lack of a coat hanger. If breakfast had also been included, it would have been a 10 (there are, however, several bars in the area). Highly recommended!

We stayed for 3 nights, well what can I say, fantastic! Very kind owner, available at any time and for any information. Brand new and super clean rooms. We will gladly return. 10+++!

B&B located in an optimal position. I appreciated the kindness and courtesy of Marco and his good taste in the room furnishings.

I stayed with my girlfriend for a whole week in this property and I can say it was really worth it. The location is great being in a street just a few steps from Piazza Navona, moreover the room is really beautiful and pleasant to see also thanks to the LED lights that I appreciated a lot, for the rest the bathroom, as well as the rest of the room, is brand new. I thank the owner who was very kind and helpful for anything. I hope to go back there one day because I really enjoyed myself.

Great room to spend a short vacation in Rome without necessarily having to take public transportation, as it is located in a strategic area. Marco, the owner, was extremely helpful with any requests or issues. The room has all the comforts and thanks to the Vacation Bonus, we were able to afford this little luxury. I recommend leaving the window open during the day to avoid some humidity. The whirlpool tub is fantastic! Coffee machine and fridge included. We will be back.

Great location, well served by public transport, quiet. I would improve the second bed for the quadruple.

I booked with the holiday bonus. The phone availability is completely comparable to the courtesy and kindness found upon my arrival. A diligent and 'spry' young man as we say in Modena, welcomed us in a friendly and amicable way, made us feel at home. The room was more than up to my expectations... Staircase with red wallpaper, illuminated steps. Comfortable bed, shower with various adjustable jets and above all THE WHIRLPOOL TUB... Oh yesss... After a morning in the blazing sun, in fact we arrived in Rome at 12 pm on August 14, when dear Lucifer had been raging across Italy for days, we took possession of the room at 3.30 pm after wandering around Rome for a bit... Wow... When I saw the tub, my thought was... 'Who's getting out first'! Around 6 pm, well refreshed by the water massage and a relaxing nap, we went out and to our amazement we found ourselves perhaps 1 km from the Vatican... Really! I couldn't choose a better structure and in fact... I'm going back on Saturday 21! Can't wait!

We stayed one night at Governo Vecchio Guest House to celebrate Valentine's Day, our expectations were more than met. The room was perfect and finished in a special way, especially for the beautiful light effects, comfortable with the king-size bed and a bathroom with a large shower. The central location is ideal for reaching key attractions on foot. We really enjoyed it. Absolutely recommended!

We arrived today and found a nice, refined and above all clean and new environment, the room is spacious, the owner is polite, helpful, a stone's throw from the historic center. To return for sure.

Located in an excellent central location in Rome, welcoming and design structure, spent a splendid Valentine's evening in the suite with a Jacuzzi in front of the bed. Kind and helpful manager. What more can I say than a 5-star hotel. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Castel Sant'Angelo room, which was full of comfort and had a very comfortable bed. Located 3 minutes from Piazza Navona, the owner is very kind and takes care of every detail. We will be back very soon.
