Description
In the heart of the Castelli Romani, just outside the city of Ariccia, the GiGi B&B offers a comfortable stay a few kilometers from Rome and outside the city.
The structure is the ground floor of a villa.
Recently renovated (2017), it has been redesigned to better respond to customer needs.
The initial apartment of 110 square meters, has been divided into a mini apartment with a double bedroom and a second, larger, with 2 double bedrooms.
Each apartment has its own separate entrance and is completely independent from the other, but both are connected by a door, usually locked, but for families or larger groups, it can be opened and become a larger apartment, with 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The mini apartment (photo 15-18), equipped with bathroom, entrance-living room, TV, internet and a mini-kitchenette, is ideal for couples or singles.
The larger apartment (photo 1-14) with two double rooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining-living room, TV, Internet, is ideal for families or groups of friends. It can comfortably accommodate up to 5 adults. It is equipped with a washing machine.
Finally, the 2 joined apartments can comfortably accommodate up to 6-7 adults.
In each of the rooms can be added one or two cots for children.
For all guests there is a convenient parking in front of the house.
The garden is in front of the entrances and is shaded by a large Cedar and Pines Maritime.
It is equipped with gazebo, table, chairs, barbecue, deck chairs.
It is ideal for enjoying the afternoon breeze and outdoor dining.
Sitting in the gazebo, in addition to the evening breeze, you can enjoy a wonderful sea view.
Attached to the Cedar is a swing that makes children happy and sometimes even great ones!
With the latest renovation, towards the entrance of the large apartment and towards the garden, we have created two new ramps, even for wheelchairs, thus making it possible to use the indoor and outdoor spaces without any steps.
The house is very cool and in summer there is no need for air conditioners.
At 1 Km from the apartment there is the Cecchina railway station, from where you can easily reach by train, the center of Rome (Roma Termini station) in about 35 minutes.
Breakfast can be included or not in the living room, chosen by the client.

CLIMATIC CHARACTERISTICS:
THE CLIMATE is fantastic in the area of the CASTELLI ROMANI.
IN THE SUMMER period, the hottest days can reach 32-33 degrees and at night there is always a light breeze that makes you soon forget the day’s heat.
The months of SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER and NOVEMBER, are ideal for visiting the Castelli Romani: there are numerous local festivities with a wide variety of characteristic gastronomic specialties, but, above all, the climate is optimal and the days are perfect for local sightseeing or a trip to ROME.
ARICCIA is on the western slopes of the ‘Castelli Romani’ and this renders its climate particularly mild and dry.
IN WINTER the temperature never drops below 0 degrees and there are rarely more than 2 or 3 consecutive days of bad weather.

BEHIND it there are two lakes: LAKE ALBANO (3 Km away) and LAKE NEMI (2 Km away). It faces the sea of TOR SAN LORENZO, MARINA di ARDEA and TORVAIANICA, which are 20 Km away.
LAKE ALBANO is very well equipped for tourism with restaurants, serviced beaches and swimming areas.
PLACES IN THE AREA:
Within an hour’s drive there are an infinite amount of places to visit.
SCENIC and HISTORICAL:
All the towns of the ‘Castelli Romani’, including:
-CASTEL GANDOLFO, the Pope’s summer residence, where it is possible to join the congregation in saying the Angelus within the papal palace, by simply arriving half an hour early.
-NEMI, a small and gracious village, above the eponymously named lake, which is famous for its strawberries.
-FRASCATI, ROCCA DI PAPA, MARINO, GROTTAFERRATA, MONTE PORZIO are all places where history, architecture and scenery merge, making them incredibly fascinating places.
The sea:
The nearest coastline is MARINA di ARDEA, TOR SAN ORENZO, TORVAIANICA and LADISPOLI. They have long beaches with clean water. They are all within a thirty minute drive from our dwelling.
There are also TERRACINA, SPERLONGA and SAN FELICE CIRCEO which are slightly further away (about an hour’s drive). However, the crystal clear water of that coastline and the particular beauty of those towns completely justify making the hour long trip.
ARCHEOLOGICAL:
WITH AN HOUR’s drive you can easily reach places that are famous the world over for their uniqueness: VILLA D’ESTE (TIVOLI), VILLA ADRIANA, ANCIENT OSTIA....

The owners Giuseppe and Michela are very pleasant people, we found the apartment well equipped with everything. A bit of annoyance from the neighbors' alarms, but they don't last long. We stayed 2 nights in the ground floor apartment of this house. The owners are very welcoming and kind. The apartment is vintage but clean, and the bathroom is large. The kitchen is small but we did not come to cook. The parking is inside the property and well fenced. The train station is about 1 kilometer away, you can go there on foot or by car, there is parking in front for 3€ a day. Very convenient for visiting Rome.

We were welcomed and cared for with care day by day, with friendliness, warmth, and discretion! The apartment is really spacious and welcoming, harmonious, fresh, and well-equipped. Everything is at hand! The garden is splendid and welcoming, both for relaxing in the shade of the majestic tree, for having breakfast and chatting immersed in the greenery, and for playing, reading, or enjoying a bit of sun in the ventilated freshness. Every now and then, the very friendly family dog peeks out with its irresistible little face. The quality price ratio is unmatched. We highly recommend staying here on every occasion, it is a rejuvenating place!

The structure is very welcoming, especially for families with children like ours. The amenities of the apartment are excellent and the managers are very courteous. The location is ideal for easily reaching Rome (metro station 25 minutes away). I recommend this structure to all families with children.
