Description

We are a typical B&B with a pleasant homely reception. The house is located in front of the sea in an ancient fishing village called Elena in honour of Queen Elena. It still keeps its maritime peculiarity in a characteristic fishing port and close to a daily fish market.

We offer accomodation in two doublerooms with each bathrooms.

We are only ten minutes walk to Serapo beach and near the bus stop.

In the evening you can also spend hours promenading along the vivid and colourful lanes of Via Indipendenza or sitting in bars opposite the sea where you can smell the breeze. Furthemore, you can go shopping or buying pizza.

We are very pleased to make you know better and appreciate this town, for example, according to environmental programmes supported by the association Parco di Monte Orlando, we recycle glass, plastic, newspaper and cans.

Above all, we offer good manners and we are at your disposal every minute of your holiday. We also give you the chance of accomodation in a small furnished apartment, quite near our B&B, where you can cook if you want. This could be a good solution for people who to stay more than few days.

HOW TO GET HERE
Travelling by train: on to Rome-Naples line (via Formia) get off at Formia station and take the bus Formia-Gaeta (bus stop is at Villa delle Sirene, just 200 metres from Elena B&B).

Travelling by car: take the Rome-Naples motorway (A1) leave at Cassino and then go on SS630 in the direction of Formia and continue as far as Gaeta; from Rome take SS148 Pontina or SS7 Appia as far as Terracina, then take SS213 Flacca as far as Gaeta; from Naples take SS7 quater (Domiziana) as far as Garigliano (river) and carry on to Formia and Gaeta.

HOW TO REACH US:

BY TRAIN: Take the Rome-Naples line (via Formia) and get off at the Formia station. Then, continue with the bus to Gaeta (stop at Villa delle Sirene, 200 m from our B&B).

BY CAR: From the Rome-Naples highway, exit at Cassino and continue on SS 630 towards Formia and then Gaeta. From Rome, take SS 148 Pontina or SS 7 Appia until Terracina and then SS 13 Flacca to Gaeta. From Naples, take SS Quater (Domiziana) to the Garigliano and then continue to Formia and Gaeta.

A very nice, clean and well-kept accommodation in every detail, equipped with air conditioning and fan, hairdryer, soaps, refrigerator and wi-fi. The optimal location on the main seafront and the alleys of the historic center, to move comfortably on foot and have everything at hand, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and buses, as well as the Serapo beach.

We were kindly welcomed by the host. Breakfast is served outside the Elena B&B at a nearby coffee bar. For this purpose, breakfast tickets are provided. Coffee and paninis were great.

The Elena B&B is certainly in a strategic position to visit Gaeta, even on foot, but also the surrounding areas. Convenient and free parking in front of the house. The apartment is a bit small perhaps, but for a few days it's fine (we stayed for 3 nights). The manager was kind and helpful. The condo is slightly noisy, in the sense that there is a door that separates the two floors and closing it makes a bit of noise. I would say this is the only downside, otherwise I would say recommended!

I stayed at this property in September. Definitely great value for money, the property is located in a good position that allows you to visit both the Medieval area and the seaside area in a short time. There are several very nice bars and restaurants in the area. The owners were very helpful and courteous. Definitely recommended.

Everything perfect: clean and quiet room thanks to a comfortable balcony overlooking an inner courtyard. The location on the seafront is fantastic, close to bars and shops.

Highly recommended structure. Room as in the photos. Excellent cleanliness like the welcome received. In short, in this Elena B&B you feel at home. You can reach the center by walking along the beautiful seafront of Gaeta. Excellent prices considering the other structures that instead exaggerate a bit. In short, I highly recommend it for those who want to stay in Gaeta.

Very kind and helpful managers. Good location of the property. Room perfectly clean and equipped with essential products. For breakfast, a voucher worth 2.5 euros is provided to be used in a bar near the Elena B&B. I would try to provide guests with the keys to the main gate to make them more autonomous.

Very clean apartment, equipped with all comforts, also provided with an iron upon request. As we couldn't have breakfast directly at the property, we were guided to have it at a bar nearby, right in front of the sea. To reach the old part of the city, only 10 minutes on foot are needed, with many parking spaces nearby.

We stayed at Elena B&B for two nights; the property is in a great location, with ample free parking availability (in Gaeta all parking lots are paid) and the medieval city is also within walking distance in just over 30 minutes. The room with private en-suite bathroom is simply furnished, but spacious and very clean. On the first day, the owners, very kind and helpful, directed us to the best beaches in the area. Excellent breakfast, abundant and served on a terrace overlooking the port from above. We will definitely come back.

Structure 8 because you have to walk 2 floors, don't come with heavy suitcases; -) \nPosition 9 excellent area except if you walk to the Serapo beach, it's quite long, I recommend you to do it through Independence Street, it's shady and there are many shops. \nFriendly and helpful owners, if you come on 25-26 July, nearby there is the church of Sant'Anna, it's the days of commemoration, with a party and the tiella festival

Very satisfied! We were returning to Italy after spending several months abroad and we felt welcomed like family, as if we were already home!
