Description

Domina Romae B&B is a cozy Bed and Breakfast nestled in the heart of the Aurelio neighborhood, just a stone's throw from the Vatican and surrounded by various shops. The property is conveniently located only twenty meters from the Baldo degli Ubaldi metro station (line A), providing quick access in 2 minutes to the Vatican and the center of Rome, and in 10 minutes to Termini Station.

With convenient transportation options such as bus lines and Cotral within walking distance, easy connection to the rest of the city and the nearby seaside locations of Fregene and the Lazio coast is accessible. Those traveling by car will find convenient access through exit 1 of the Vatican City-Aurelia on the Grande Raccordo Anulare.

The Aurelio Neighborhood is one of the largest in Rome.

From the Vatican City, it stretches north, crossed by the eponymous street, one of the consular roads built to connect Rome to the Tuscan and Ligurian colonies.

Starting from Porta Cavalleggeri and continuing along via Gregorio VII, you arrive at Piazza Carpegna, where the eponymous villa overlooks it with its splendid park, once a hunting reserve of the princes.

Along the ancient Aurelia, you will find the park of Villa Doria Pamphili, one of the largest in Rome, a green lung that borders the neighborhoods of Monte Verde and Trastevere, where Romans love to go jogging and relax, and where it is not difficult to meet famous people in workout clothes and sneakers.

In the newer part of the neighborhood, there is a strong commercial vocation, with the presence of numerous large distribution centers.

In the Aurelio neighborhood, besides the famous Vatican City literally around the corner, you can also find the Ergife Hotel, one of the most famous in Rome, used by public and private institutions for job competitions and selections.

Fantastic, kind and friendly people. It's like being at home. Great location for those, like us, who need to access the IDI hospital. The only flaw is the parking, you have to pay. Otherwise, everything is top.

Located in a quiet and very convenient location to metro line A. The room we stayed in is sufficiently comfortable and spacious. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The offered breakfast is based on packaged products but still in sufficient quantity. In its simplicity, the structure is still very well maintained; in particular, we appreciated the choice to recall the colors of the rooms also in the breakfast room.

No matter the reason you decide to stay at this B&B (for non-touristic commitments, budget reasons, or lifestyle), it will be very difficult to have a bad memory. The managers are good people who really make you feel at home, and this alone could be enough to finish the review and choose to book with peace of mind. Additionally, I add that it is in a strategic location, with public transportation nearby and quickly reaching the city center, with restaurants and supermarkets in the vicinity. Furthermore, the property has been recently renovated, so the rooms and bathrooms are all new and spacious, in a quiet and peaceful area. My experience was super positive.

We had a great time in this Domina Romae B&B, clean, comfortable, and very quiet. The proximity to the metro station (2 minutes on foot) allows you to reach the center comfortably and quickly. Very kind and friendly managers. The breakfast included in the price is very practical, simple but abundant and pleasant. If we were to return to Rome, we would definitely consider this accommodation.

The property is really minimal with some issues, like mold in the shower and a strap to raise the shutter inside the shower itself. Breakfast is just for show, all packaged, nothing fresh. Everything, absolutely everything, managed as an extra charge, even a possible second coffee in the morning.

Per quanto riguarda la colazione, capiamo che lei preferisca un'esperienza più "fresca". Ma sappiamo anche che la freschezza è sopravvalutata! Abbiamo scelto i nostri prodotti confezionati per garantire un'esperienza culinaria a prova di "stagionatura". Siamo convinti che l'apertura di un cornetto sia simile a quella di aprire una conchiglia e scoprire un delizioso tesoro interno. Per quanto riguarda gli extra a pagamento, non si preoccupi! Siamo solo un po' esigenti quando si tratta di servizi aggiuntivi. Dopotutto, come si dice ...le cose migliori nella vita sono quelle per cui si paga. Se aveva bisogno di un caffè il pomeriggio potevamo organizzare un incontro con il nostro esclusivo "Barista Extraordinaire" (con un piccolo extra, naturalmente). Sarà come assistere a un'opera d'arte mentre le versiamo una seconda tazzina di caffè. Grazie ancora per aver scelto la nostra struttura e non un'albergo 5 stelle. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is very good. Room cleaning is not done during the stay. The owners of the place live there. At night there was a smell of food. They charged me the municipal tax and did not give me any corresponding official receipt.

Puede pasar, pero también le preguntamos si los quería... Dijo que no!!! solo me pidió 2 toallas limpias. declaración 2) los dueños viven allí....respuesta: cierto...entonces? 🤔 declaración 3) la noche había olor a comida... respuesta: por suerte crees que eran aguas negras 😂 Y por último, para las tasas turísticas, fíjate bien en el recibo de pago que te di, las tasas turísticas están escritas en la última línea después del precio de la estancia. For a weekend in Rome we decided to stay in this Domina Romae B&B for 3 days, attracted by the structure, the super competitive price and the proximity of a garage where to leave the cars securely.\nThe structure is very beautiful and welcoming, also breakfast is included. The Domina Romae B&B is located in a strategic area to visit Rome as it is less than 200m from the Ubaldo degli Ubaldi metro station, i.e., the Vatican area, making it very convenient to move around in the center of Rome.\nLastly, I leave the most important thing, which is the welcome they reserved for us, attentive to all our needs. Recommended, the structure is located in a quiet place, well connected both by bus and by metro line A easily reachable, Angelo is welcoming and available for any request. I was satisfied with the cleanliness and especially with the proximity to the metro of the structure. However, the breakfast service was disappointing because in the two days of stay, the first day we were sent to a nearby bar (which was not expected) and the second day (breakfast scheduled in the structure) it was not possible to have it because in the breakfast room the fridge was locked and there were no conditions to even prepare a coffee. I contacted the manager several times but I did not receive any response.

Salve signor Giuseppe.....sono contento che il soggiorno sia stato di suo gradimento.....mi dispiace per la colazione, ma le avevo detto che nel periodo che lei avrebbe soggiornato non garantivamo la colazione in struttura, ma giu' al bar dove lei e la sua signora (so per certo in quanto il proprietario d l bar me l'ha confermato) ha consumato un'abbondante colazione entrambe i giorni.....Quindi il servizio colazione seppur non all'interno della struttura è stato ugualmente garantito a TUTTI I MIEI OSPITI per questo il frigo bar era chiuso....le posso assicurare che rispondo sempre al telefono e dalla cronologia chiamate non risultano sue chiamate durante il soggiorno... Ho solo scritto questa risposta per precisazione. ?? La ringrazio, un saluto a lei e la sua signora.

To say it was a TOP experience is an understatement. Cozy, clean, comfortable place, close to the metro, very easy to reach by train or bus, while by car you have to be lucky to find parking nearby but it's worth it, very convenient also for the nearby refreshments. Simone and his wife welcomed us with a smile ☺️ and were helpful, kind, and wonderful, I also recommend the pub where Mr. Simone works, where you can feel all the human warmth of Rome. If I had to come back to Rome, I would definitely go there again. I recommend it.

I do not even know where to start to begin to explain how horrible this experience was. The images that describe the items of the breakfast are inaccurate. There is no fresh coffee provided and we are only allowed one coffee pod per person per day. And there is a sign on the back of the door that says extra coffee pods for the machine are an extra 2 euros which is mentioned nowhere on the site. Very misleading. There is nowhere to store your own groceries and the fridges are prohibited for guest use. And Angelo will not provide the breakfast things mentioned. There was only pre-packaged cookies and crackers with a limited amount of jams per person. When we asked him about providing more, he said that he isn't the owner so he can do nothing and that the owner is in fact in jail... So he could not give us his number... After hearing this, we became worried and afraid for the safety of our items while we were gone. Unfortunately, this caused anxiety for the remaining days of our stay in Rome. He refused to meet us on the last day to collect the room tax. 7$ per night on top of the room fee and provide a receipt which is legally required. He told us to leave the money on the bed if we know what's best for us after threatening us for asking for a receipt and told us to leave the money and forget what happens? Like what ??! So unprofessional and scary. The worst experience in Italy by far. I don't know how he has such good reviews... Happy to provide photographic evidence of conversation and actual condition of breakfast. Also, there were only a couple of packages of shower gel for the bathroom. We chose this place because it looked good in the photos and although it was clean and the rooms were color-coordinated, dealing with this guy ruined our last days in Italy.

There are no words for both the well-kept and clean structure, in an excellent location and well served by public transport, exceptional value for money including breakfast; both for the manager himself. \nAngelo professionally speaking is unique in his work, always ready, polite, available to solve, even personally, any inconvenience, just to make his customers comfortable. \nI was in Rome for a competition and he followed me from the moment of booking until the day I left, giving me useful directions to move safely and peacefully. I miei complimenti vanno soprattutto al gestore, Angelo, sempre disponibile e molto cordiale. Camere pulite giornalmente. L'unica pecca a mio avviso è come viene gestita la colazione che si avvale di una macchinetta a tempo, mi è mancato il caffè.

Il gestore molto educato e disponibile mi ha indicato come arrivare all'IDI. Veramente molto vicino alla struttura. Il gestore mi ha esentato dalle tasse di soggiorno sia a me che a mio marito in quanto per ricoveri non si pagano. Stanza pulitissima e il bagno eccellente. Grazie per l'ospitalità.

Soggiorno molto piacevole anche se non per divertimento ma per visite all’IDI. La struttura è attaccata all’istituto dermatologico dell’immacolata. Il parcheggio interno seppur a pagamento è stata una salvezza in quanto nella zona è molto difficile trovare parcheggio. Un grazie al gestore sempre disponibile e cordiale dando a questo B&B un valore aggiunto.

Eccellenza dell'accoglienza, cordialità e professionisti del settore. Ottima la colazione abbondante, la pulizia a 360°eccellente. Massima privacy, nessun rumore dall'esterno. Grazie alla posizione strategica, ideale anche per lunghi soggiorni. Veri professionisti del settore, qualità più uniche che rare da trovare in città. Viaggio molto per lavoro e finalmente ho un B&B nel quale tornare. Lo consiglio vivamente.

La metropolitana è vicinissima e città del Vaticano si può raggiungere anche a piedi. Il parcheggio interno è a pagamento ma purtroppo in questa zona i posti auto sono molto rari. Il bagno privato era pulitissimo come anche la camera. Un ringraziamento a angelo sempre gentile e disponibile.

L'IDI è praticamente a 2 passi da questa struttura. Ho dovuto soggiornare qui per 3 giorni e devo dire che non potevo trovare di meglio. Il proprietario ci ha messo a nostro agio immediatamente. La Camera pulitissima e il bagno privato brillante. Il prezzo? 45 euro a notte in 2. Ci ha anche fatto notare che le tasse di soggiorno per chi fa le visite e l'accompagnatore non vanno pagate. Occhio a chi vi chiede queste tasse! Ringrazio veramente lo staff per l'onestà ed il trattamento. Veramente favoloso.

Io mia moglie e mia figlia piccola abbiamo trascorso solo 3 giorni in questa struttura, ma non posso che avere solo un giudizio positivo, trattandosi di un B&B bello, pulito e ben curato, oltre che funzionale. Le camere sono ampie e spaziose, tanto che definirle camere è riduttivo, fornite di tutti i comfort necessari a mettere gli ospiti a proprio agio ed a renderli pienamente autonomi. La nostra camera era dotata di un televisore 46 pollici, un balcone e un bagno in camera. Questo B&B è collocato in una posizione strategica, proprio dietro il vaticano e la metro letteralmente sotto casa, col valore aggiunto fornito del proprietario, Angelo, una persona molto disponibile e di ottima compagnia, oltre che simpaticissima! molto consigliato.
