Description

Casale del Tiglio is located within the Monte Abatone farm. The farm consists of 14.5 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, with a small forest inside. The farm's production goes beyond wine grapes (DOC with varieties such as Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Sangiovese, Merlot, Trebbiano, and Chardonnay) and extra virgin olive oil (olive varieties include Canina, Frantoio, Rosciola, and Leccino), and also includes sheep cheeses (from sheep grazing on our land) and various types of fruit (figs, persimmons, oranges, lemons, and cherries). Patrizia's jams and tarts are legendary.

The entire Monte Abatone area is part of the ancient Etruscan necropolis (dating back to the 7th century BC), located south of Cerveteri, and this is evident through significant archaeological remains scattered throughout the territory.

ACTIVITIES:
- Mountain biking and hiking (interesting trips in the surrounding area, through forests and waterfalls)
- Archaeology and history (agreement with "in terra etrusca srl" for guided tours)
- Kitesurfing (agreement with national instructor Ivo Scappatura from Civitavecchia)
- Sport climbing (free-climbing on equipped cliffs of Monte Sassone, near Sasso and Ripa Majala, near Civitavecchia)
- Beaches, sea, and Lake Bracciano
INTERIOR:
Two rooms with two beds each, plus a possible additional bed. En-suite bathroom. Heating and fully equipped kitchen. Dining room and living room. 35" television in the living room and 24" in the bedrooms.

EXTERIOR:
The exterior is the true distinctive feature of the Casale. Surrounded by greenery, it features a swimming pool and truly breathtaking views!
Use of the pool, garden, and small forest with an area equipped for upcoming installations.

Roberto Iannilli and Patrizia Perilli have been married since 1981 and have a 23-year-old daughter, Giuliana, who helps them in the work of their agricultural company.

Roberto is an architect but has left this profession a few years ago to dedicate himself to farming. Patrizia is a pharmacist and works as a director in a pharmacy in Ladispoli. Giuliana has specialized in cooking, obtained from the Hotel Management Institute.

Roberto is also an accomplished mountaineer, with expeditions in various parts of the world, climbing untouched mountains, and boasting about 150 first ascents of rock routes in the Gran Sasso Group. Thanks to this intense activity, he has received various awards, including two Paolo Consiglio recognitions, the highest recognition for non-European expeditions awarded in Italy. The free climbing cliffs of Sasso and Ripa Majala are his own creations, as he himself has equipped and climbed practically all the existing routes.

On the other hand, Patrizia appreciates ski mountaineering and has glided her skis around the entire Apennines, as well as on many peaks over 4000 meters in the Alps and outside of Europe (Greenland, High Atlas).

The whole family lives together with their cat friends (Bubbolina, Martino, and Minù, the most domestic ones), with Rughetta and Amilcare (two wandering turtles), with Red (the running fox), and with two friendly and affectionate dogs, Topolone and Romeo, the best dog of the Colosseum.

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful, cozy structure, surrounded by nature and therefore quiet. Not being in the center, I'm not sure if it's convenient for those without their own means of transport; we moved around by car and it was very convenient because there is internal parking. The manager is available, kind, and very attentive to his guests. Excellent choice, highly recommended!

The Casale del Tiglio is a charming structure, outside Cerveteri. Quiet location, parking inside the property, spacious, clean apartment, nothing is missing. Ideal location to visit the attractions of the region, even Rome is not far away. Patrizia welcomed us with warmth, she is very nice, kind, and lovely. The garden of the owners can be used, also the small swimming pool. It is a great place for a vacation. I recommend it!

I stayed for just one night, but I had a great time. Surrounded by greenery, the structure is a guarantee of relaxation and tranquility. Inside, the rooms are well-kept, spacious, and clean. In the room, everything was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. The kindness and availability of the managers were exquisite, making me feel at ease from the first minute. Due to the location, a car is necessary, but it is only a few kilometers from the highway exit, so it is easily reachable. As for breakfast, my rating, as already mentioned in other reviews, is relative because I am used to a menu that is not at all Italian. However, the tart with jam was delicious and, in terms of quantity, with toast, snacks, Nutella, coffee, etc., there is plenty to choose from for those who prefer a sweet start to the day.

The bed & breakfast Casale del Tiglio is a paradise immersed in greenery and is located just outside Cerveteri, 13 km from Lake Bracciano and 11 km from the sea, so you can quickly reach any seaside resort and for those who love hiking, the surroundings offer walks in the middle of the greenery. In addition to this, Cerveteri offers one of the two most important Etruscan necropolises in Italy. The house is beautiful and spacious, furnished with taste and simplicity, and there is also a swimming pool. Patrizia is a friendly and helpful host and she offered us her legendary crostata with homemade jam. In short, you couldn't ask for more.

Beautiful structure in the countryside, but close to the sea and communication routes. Very clean and new. Hospitable and kind owner. For breakfast she prepared excellent homemade cakes. We spent three truly relaxing days, between countryside, sea, and culture, waiting for a scheduled visit for our son at the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Palidoro, which is a half hour drive away.

Structure immersed in greenery for an absolutely relaxing stay. Large, well-furnished and extremely clean room. Casale del Tiglio gave the necessary boost to our vacation which was a bit flat until that moment. It was a truly positive surprise to recommend to all passersby for Cerveteri and surrounding areas.

Casale del Tiglio is a great place to spend holidays! The hosts are very kind and helpful, they explain everything patiently and calmly. Between ancient culture, the sea, and the proximity to Rome, there is everything to feel good and relax. The furnishings are complete, nothing is missing, and the breakfast was plentiful! As soon as we crossed the gate of this B&B, we found ourselves in a paradise! The Casale del Tiglio is indeed inside an estate with olive trees and vines. The room and the living room with kitchen at our disposal were tastefully furnished, the magnificent view and the cherry on top the garden behind the house with the large linden tree and the pool! My daughter and my husband (I obviously already knew him because I took care of the reservation and had seen the photos on the web) were enthusiastic. I gave them a beautiful surprise for the last days of vacation. The owners were not there but they left everything in the hands of the sweet daughter Giuliana. She was a perfect hostess and we felt at home. The pie and the plum cake were excellent! It is an address that we will keep in mind for our future trips to this wonderful land that is our beloved Italy. Greetings also to the two beautiful dogs and all the kittens! The Casale del Tiglio forever in our heart.

Delightful place surrounded by greenery, olive trees, vineyards, and flowers, functional and comfortable. Mrs. Patrizia, her husband, and daughter are exquisite and helpful in providing advice on how to move around the area and suggest places to go. Abundant breakfast and seasonal fruits.
