This district is a crucial and ideal point for magic and romantic holiday or tourist or working resorts and it is recommended to all the people that have to go to the center for business, stages and study, for its extreme proximity at a lot of places of artistic and archaeological, financial and political interest of “Eternal Town”. It is nearest to Polo Didattico and to Third University. The apartment is at 150 m from the Garbatella Stop of the underground line B, that reaches the EUR (in 15 min.), the Basilica of S. Paul (in 5 min.), the Pyramid (in 3 min.), with its links with Fiumicino Airport and Ostiense Railway Station (Air-Terminal to Fiumicino Airport that you will reach in 30 min. and to Fiera di Roma that you will reach in 20 min.), Circo Massimo and Aventino-FAO (in 5 min.), the Colosseum (in 10 min.), Termini Railway Station (in 12 min.), Policlinico and Sapienza University (in 15 min.). At 100m from the flat, there is a supermarket. Mr. Guido proved to be, from the first contact, a kind, helpful, cordial, attentive and caring person. The property is located in a quiet area, very convenient for public transport, as it is a 10‑minute walk from the metro stop (line B) and 5 minutes from the bus stops. Within a few meters there are supermarkets, bars, pizzerias and restaurants. The Via Appia Antica and the Basilica of Saint Paul are nearby and easily reachable. Access to the property is very secure because it is limited by a gate and then the main door and is allowed only to those who have the key. The room was comfortable and fairly clean, with Wi‑Fi and breakfast included. The doors are a bit old and the cleanliness in the kitchen, mainly due to the lack of consideration and respect from some guests, left something to be desired. However, after my report the owner acted promptly to have it cleaned. I recommend Casa Garbata to those who want to stay in Rome, combining quality, price and location.

A stressfully loud, grinding, foghorn-like sound from the electric/macerator toilet and sink, probably caused by loose pipes or worn valves, was very disturbing at night. The host said the sound was normal and offered no help. The beds are narrow and the covers are very large, so watch for falling. Breakfast was available only at the welcome point, which meant once during our 10-day stay; there was no drinking water and we were advised to drink tap water. The sink had cold water in the morning, but the small shower had warm water. There was an old-fashioned dirty pot instead of an electric kettle to make tea or instant coffee. The desk in the room faced the wall, so we turned it to use its very dusty drawers to store some belongings. Cleaning was done only once during our 10-day stay, so a lot of rubbish accumulated and we had to ask for a toilet paper refill. The bedside lamp shade was dusty and there was chronic dust on top of the wardrobe. The interior is outdated. The proximity to transport is a plus, but it does not compensate for the horrible sound that dominated our 10-day stay.

Sono sempre grato a tutti gli ospiti che mi lasciano una recensione, anche con delle critiche, perché mi aiutano a migliorare nel mio lavoro, ma non posso esimermi dal rispondere a quanto scritto da questi ospiti perché privo di obiettività. Basta leggere le molte recensioni per vedere che anche dove ci sono delle critiche nulla a che vedere con quanto lamentato da questi ospiti che lasciavano il b&b in condizioni pessime. 1° il sanitrix fa' un rumore solo quando si tira lo scarico e dura pochi secondi quindi non è continuo. Come ha potuto sentire il rumore continuamente?! 2° ci sono due letti singoli STANDARD e le lenzuola sono normali lenzuoli singoli. Come si può cadere dal letto?! 3° è stato lasciato tutto l' occorrente per più colazioni, 2pacchi di biscotti, 2pacchi di merendine, 3litri di latte e di succo di frutta e caffè, ma se avessero chiesto avremmo provveduto, a cosa serve lamentarsi dopo?! 4° l' acqua di Roma è buonissima, ed è cosa nota, ci siamo limitati a dire che era potabile, ma anche se non rientra nei nostri compiti avremmo provveduto a portare la minerale. 5°la scrivania è posta sotto la finestra con i cassetti esposti. 6°la pulizia e stata effettuata come da accordi, ma l'immondizia è stata portata via tutti i giorni e la cucina pulita di continuo. 7° volevo ricordare che c'è una cucina spaziosa e completa di tutto dove i signori preparavano e consumavano i pasti. Mi dispiace molto perché tutto si sarebbe potuto risolvere parlando!

I was very happy with my stay at B&B Garbata! I stayed 6 nights, then left for 5 nights and returned for 3 more before departing Rome -- so a total of 9 nights. Guido was always available via the WhatsApp application on my phone. I considered their posted nightly cost to be very reasonable and the arrangement worked out quite well for me. The facility had a shared bath and kitchen for use while there. I was often the only one staying there, of the 3 rooms available. Because I was not able to use my phone without having to pay fees, my only use of it while there was the WhatsApp, and T-Mobile service on my phone still allowed free texting to/from the U.S., so I did not require anything more. My room was very comfortable, with closet space and a shelf to put some of my things on. The AC worked fine, and I had a window that had a European style shade that can be pulled up or down to either have sun or total darkness, which was nice. Also, there was a balcony off the kitchen that I liked, and I often ate breakfast out there. Additionally, the building is security locked. You have to have a key to enter the property, then another to access the building itself -- so quite a safe arrangement. Also, there is an elevator to get up to the 5th floor (keep in mind that in Europe, the first floor is called the ground floor, then one up is 1st floor, on up. I considered the room to be quite safe, and it worked out perfect for me, as I did take off to Florence (Firenze) for 5 days, then returned for my last 3 (which allowed me to leave my locked suitcase at the property, and only take my smaller backpack to Firenze. Also nice that the subway stop was only about a 10 minute walk from there. All in all, I say again that my room was a terrific bargain for being in the city of Rome.

Friendly, kind, helpful, warm, attentive, and caring owner. Comfortable, convenient, clean, well-equipped accommodation located in a nice setting. Close to the Ostiense train station (convenient for reaching Fiumicino) and near the metro stop (line B); the area is well-served (supermarkets, hairdressers, bars, pizzerias, and restaurants, tobacco shops). I recommend it.

I stayed here with a friend during the first days of September and I had a great time from the beginning. The owner is a delightful person, he offered to pick us up at the metro stop even though it was literally a 5-minute walk, he helped us find all the places to visit. Especially on the last day, I was feeling unwell physically, in the evening I had the train to go back home but it was late to find a pharmacy open at that time. Desperate, I wrote to him for help and without asking twice, he immediately made himself available to come to the B&B and bring me something to ease the strong stomach ache.

I was in Rome for a conference and I had a great time, the manager was very helpful and kind, good location in the characteristic Garbatella. The property is clean and equipped with every comfort. Already booked for my next commitments.

The welcome from the very friendly owner immediately puts you in a good mood. The room where I stayed is located in a condominium in the Garbatella district. There are two single beds, a small private bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet (no bidet), table, wardrobe, balcony. Available are milk, juice, snacks, cookies, and some coffee pods for the coffee machine located in the shared kitchen. The property is just a few steps from the metro and other amenities, such as supermarkets and restaurants. Very positive experience!

Highly recommended! Guido very kind in all senses, we had a small problem with the documents and even on this very predisposed and helpful, as for the structure everything in order, clean, close to the metro to reach any area of the city.

The excellent accommodation, it is close to the metro that allows you to reach the center of Rome in a maximum of 20 minutes. The facilities are clean and comfortable, spacious and well maintained. The manager, Guido, always very attentive to everything I needed. I would return without a doubt.

Very simple but clean structure, I found myself well being at a good distance from the training center and the metro. In the vicinity there is also the supermarket. The manager and his mother are super helpful.
