Description

Casa Carmela is a historic residence dating back to 1930, located on a hillside near the historic center of Ponza. It offers a peaceful atmosphere while being easily accessible from the port, with stunning views of the bay. The house features typical island characteristics, such as vaulted ceilings, tuff walls, and the use of lime. We have five apartments that accommodate 2 to 4 guests, each with a panoramic terrace and a private bathroom. We provide all essential services: breakfast, bed and bath linens, daily cleaning, and shuttle service for check-in and check-out. Upon request, we can arrange dinners featuring a traditional island menu that includes both seafood and local produce. We are available to offer advice and recommendations for various activities in Ponza, and we can directly help organize accessible trekking experiences among the beautiful island hills.

Casa Carmela is an excellent B&B for spending a few days in Ponza. Giovanni, the host, is very helpful in meeting guests' needs and in providing advice and suggestions. Breakfast is excellent. The house offers a beautiful view and a pleasant shared terrace for breakfast. Cleaning and maintenance of the apartment need improvement: it is spacious and comfortable but the electrical system (few power outlets) and the bathroom should be revised. In any case, because of Giovanni's kindness and the value for money, I would recommend this simple B&B.
