Description
Furthermore, Pigneto is strategically located in Rome, just 5 km from the city center and well connected to all public transportation in the capital.
The B&B consists of 2 rooms, each with its own exclusive bathroom. The rooms are cozy and well furnished, each equipped with internet connection. All bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer. Buongiornopigneto is located 15 minutes from Termini station (bus 105 metro laziali-pantano) and 10 minutes from Tiburtina station (bus 409).
The Pigneto area - Intense, rough, and with a beautiful history, Pigneto was originally an ancient estate of meadows and pine trees that became a railway goods yard in the early 20th century. It was here, around the 1920s, that various communities of immigrants began to settle.
The Necci Bar was born here in 1924, later becoming Gelateria Impero, and then, after the war, a bar, restaurant, and osteria run by the children of the founder, Enrico Necci. It was here that Pasolini discovered the poetry of the suburbs: "Accattone" was filmed here, as well as Rossellini's "Rome, Open City" and Pietro Germi's "The Railroad Man" – all set in Pigneto.
Today, the neighborhood is experiencing a trendy season of activities, reminiscent of a reimagined Tribeca in New York. It is therefore no coincidence that the dining options range from ethnic to trendy, from a wine shop to an osteria. Fans of African cuisine can find traditional flavors at Mesob.
At Tiger Tandoori, Indian cuisine flourishes, while Yakiniku offers refined Japanese dishes. There are also Lebanese options at Beirut, a Greek taverna at Egeo, and even flavors from Central America at Paraiso del Paladar.
The chic dining spot is undoubtedly Primo, with its elegant contemporary decor and a kitchen of robust flavors and inventive creations. Santeria also offers great decor and good aperitifs, while Necci dal 1924 brings back the taste of old Pigneto with a nod to current trends.

Hey from Nicoleta
It has been a challenging yet fulfilling job. What can I say? Today, I am happy to have made this choice.

Area Pigneto
The name of the neighborhood, Pigneto, is due to the presence of a long row of pine trees, planted by the Caballini family, along the wall of the 18th-century villa Serventi.
Loved by director Pasolini, who chose it as the location for his first film "Accattone", in recent years, it has undergone significant evolution, transforming from a popular and proletarian neighborhood on the outskirts of Rome into a culturally and artistically vibrant district. The pedestrian area at the beginning of Via del Pigneto has become a focal point of Rome's nightlife in recent years.
Ps. Every fourth Sunday of the month, the pedestrian island of Via del Pigneto comes alive with a unique flea market, where every citizen, if they wish, can sell their forgotten items from the dusty cellars and dust them off for the occasion.
La Repubblica 11/09/2015 "Il Pigneto is the Brooklyn of Rome."
"After the New York Times, which published a report on the neglect of Rome at the end of July, another newspaper is talking about Rome: it is Vanity Fair USA, on whose website an homage to Pigneto appeared the day before yesterday, signed by Andrea Whittle, who praised the peripheral neighborhood for its "wide street and train tracks, buildings covered in graffiti, outdoor seating areas, houses with private gardens, balconies full of plants, maritime pines that give the neighborhood its name, and the absence of selfie-stick vendors."
She calls it the Brooklyn of Rome, comparing some of its views to the residential and elegant areas of Park Slope and Williamsburg in New York: "25 minutes from the Center, known for its restaurants, bars, and nightlife, with a past connected to drug dealing, but now a creative place." The final verdict comes after a gastronomic break at Rosti: "If Piazza di Spagna were Times Square, Via del Pigneto would be Court Street: a place where you can spend your days peacefully, working, eating, and being in good company."

What guests say
Guest reviews consistently praise the accommodation for its outstanding cleanliness and the warm hospitality of the host, Nicoleta, who is described as attentive and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, often featuring a balcony or terrace, and breakfast is plentiful and served on the terrace when possible. Although the property is not in the city center, it is very well connected via metro and bus, making it easy to reach Rome's main attractions. The neighborhood is quiet yet lively, with restaurants, shops, and a local atmosphere. The value for money is excellent, and the accommodation is recommended both for tourism and business stays. Some guests note the distance from the historic center, but good transport links make this manageable.
