The Alma Mater bed and breakfast was inaugurated in December 2015.

Brand new, it offers spacious, bright rooms tastefully furnished, equipped with all comforts such as air conditioning, 32-inch LED TV, free wifi, private bathroom.

Located in the Aurelio district, it enjoys an enviable location thanks to its proximity, only 30 meters, to the Baldo degli Ubaldi metro line A, and it is also only a 5-minute walk from St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums.

The welcoming and friendly attitude of the managers Alessandro and Milena make the Alma Mater bed and breakfast the ideal place to spend your stay in the eternal city.

Breakfast

Every morning, a healthy breakfast will be offered with a tray in your room and individually packaged products, including: croissant, pound cake, biscuits, cookies, Nutella, jams, water, and fruit juice. Everything will be strictly packaged in single servings. Additionally, in the common room, you will have at your disposal: a coffee machine, a selection of teas and herbal teas, natural and chocolate cereals, and bread. In the refrigerator, you will find whole and semi-skimmed milk, plain and fruit yogurts, and butter. The tray in your room will allow you to have breakfast at the time you prefer, without any constraints. During the morning, the tray will be collected and prepared again for the following morning. Enjoy your breakfast!

Hello, I'm Alessandro, a 38-year-old guy. Throughout my life, I have been involved in the tourism industry in various capacities and have worked for different high-quality hotels. Now, together with my wife, we have decided to open a B&B in this beautiful city and name it Alma Mater. I hope to bring all my accumulated knowledge in tourism to this venture.

I am a sports enthusiast and a football lover, unfortunately.

In life, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and being outdoors.

The B&B Alma Mater is located in the Aurelio district, just a few minutes away from St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums, as well as only 30 meters from the Baldo degli Ubaldi subway stop.

Being a central neighborhood in Rome, we can find trendy shops, restaurants, fast food, banks, and all kinds of establishments.

In addition to the proximity to the subway, we are also very close to various bus lines or taxi stands.

This property is in quite a good location, next to the metro and the 46 bus. The house is very well run and Alessandro is a great host. I was, however, extremely annoyed by the quality of the four-bed family room that we booked. I think the other rooms are extremely good, this one was not. It was a white room with cheap grey tiles on the floor and four extremely uncomfortable, cheap beds. Adults and children had difficulty sleeping. Two of the beds had super-thin mattresses, the main double bed was also cheap, ugly and very uncomfortable. I was not happy paying over €200 per night for this room. We had to sleep with the windows closed because of noise, but the remote control for the air conditioning was not to be found. Cleanliness, friendliness and everything else was great, and again, I think the other rooms are very nice. The family room needs further investment. It cannot be compared to the main rooms that are advertised for this B&B.

The structure is located inside a building, very close to the metro and the bus stop. In a few minutes you can reach both the city center and the station by public transport.\nPackaged breakfast in the room, with the possibility of eating it in the room or in the kitchen. The kitchen has a coffee machine and other things for breakfast.\nThe room is large with modern furnishings.\nPossibility to leave luggage in the structure after check-out.

Allessandro was a great host, had good local restaurant recommendations, and is a charming individual. I picked this location because of its location to a Metro station (barely a 5-minute walk). The location is far away from the higher traffic tourist areas. I was < 10 minutes by train/30 minutes by walk to the Vatican. Because of the distance from tourist areas, the restaurants were cheaper, and the food was better quality. I can recommend Osteria Antici Sapori around the corner as well as Josephs, about a 20-minute walk away for a typical Italian Dinner experience. The room itself was plenty big, I was by myself, but for 2 people plenty of room to spread out. Snacks in the room (cornetto, some lemon cake thing, crackers, and biscotti), standard continental breakfast in the Kitchen/Entry area with an espresso maker and toast machine.

Our stay at Bed and Breakfast Alma Mater was wonderful. The room is spacious and has everything a traveller might need and it is just a few meters away from the subway and the bus stop. Shops and restaurants are in walking distance too. The host is simply great, very kind and helpful. I can only recommend this place if someone would like to visit Rome.

Alessandro was great. Due to a cancelled flight we were arriving very early instead of the day before. He arranged that we could enter the room on our arrival in the morning and had set up a tray with snacks, juice and water so we could have some breakfast before we napped after having been awake for 24 hours. Property is easy to find and quiet on a residential street, but it is so close to the Metro that can take you anywhere with no line changes from Termini Station. Thank you so much Alessandro for turning what could have been a nightmare check-in process into something that was a pleasure. I would highly recommend this B&B without hesitation.

We were 4 days in Bed and Breakfast Alma Mater and we felt at home, Alessandro besides being very professional and always ready for whatever one needs. Tidy and clean rooms, located in a very quiet area and very close to the metro. Surely I recommend it to everyone and will definitely come back.

We stayed there for 3 nights. The operator is super nice, check-in and out are totally uncomplicated. Right next to the accommodation there is a metro station and a bus stop. You can easily reach all the sights from there. There is a kitchen available, with everything you need. The rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast is nothing special. Packaged croissants and cookies, a bottle of water and drink pouches. You can make your own coffee and tea. We liked it and would come back.

Alessandro, the manager, is available for advice; he recommended several restaurants in the area. Maps and books are available. You can leave items in the common fridge. It's a shame that breakfast, due to COVID, is very limited and based only on packaged products. Metro and bus are nearby.

I recommend this property as it is clean, organized, and with a good manager, Mr. Alessandro. The only downside is that the nearby metro stop is closed, so you have to get off at the previous or next one, which unfortunately is a bit far from the property.

Wanting to give a title to the experience lived by my wife and me during the days we stayed at this accommodation, I would define it as 'the perfect appendix to the trip to Rome'. Recently renovated structure, well-cleaned, furnished nicely, varied and abundant breakfast, my wife was very pleased with the cappuccino made directly by the owner, Alessandro, which is nothing to envy to those in bars; him, Alessandro, the 'long-haired guy' (forgive me, aaahhh) is absolutely the added value to everything; very helpful, courteous, with whom we had the pleasure to chat and interact; he gave us tips on places to eat, all spot on. What else to say, needless to add more, top structure and owner. When we return to Rome, this will certainly be our 'home' (precisely because you feel at home).

Ce B&B est à 50 mètres du métro ce qui est très pratique. Nous avons été aussi conquis par le petit-déjeuner qui est vraiment de qualité. Ce qui nous a certainement le plus plu est l'accueil de notre hôte qui a été de très bon conseil. S'il y avait un seul défaut à trouver, ce serait certainement le léger bruit de la circulation. Mais nous recommandons très fortement ce B&B qui est une excellente adresse.

Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti presso questo B&B e siamo stati benissimo. La nostra camera era luminosa e molto pulita, i mezzi pubblici (metro e autobus) erano a molto vicini e in pochi minuti potevamo raggiungere il centro. Un grazie ad Alessandro per la sua disponibilità e gentilezza.

The location is good and close to everywhere. The room was very nice and functional. Free internet and fast. The staff was polite, extremely helpful and friendly. Room service is good also. The breakfast was excellent. The service was fast and efficient. Finally I recommend anyone who want to visit Roma should be stay in Alma Mater B&B.

Pur essendo di Roma, ho avuto la necessità di soggiornare per una notte in un B&B perché mi si è rotto il bagno di casa e sono stata fortunata ad imbattermi in questa struttura, sia per il rapporto qualità/prezzo che per i servizi offerti. Innanzi è nuovissima, per cui è tutto moderno ed estremamente curato e ogni bagno è dotato di phon e necessaire di cortesia; poi è in posizione centrale, vicinissimo a San Pietro (ci si può arrivare a piedi) ed è facilmente raggiungibile con la metro A, fermata "Baldo degli Ubaldi" o con i bus: 46, 49, 490, 495. Inoltre si trova in un quartiere ben fornito di ristoranti (c'è pure il Mc Donald a pochi metri), pizzerie, supermercati e negozi. Ma il vero valore aggiunto sono senza dubbio i gestori, Alessandro e Milena, una coppia deliziosa con cui abbiamo chiacchierato piacevolmente e che ci sono piaciuti tantissimo per l'entusiasmo che hanno investito nella loro attività. Si sono dimostrati disponibilissimi e credo che prenoterò di nuovo qui quando farò i lavori di ristrutturazione della nostra casa ed avrò bisogno nuovamente di un posto comodo dove pernottare. Insomma: lo stra consiglio
