B&B La Maison de Jo

I have reviewed the Bed and Breakfast La Maison de Jo already. Why do it again? If I could, on a scale of 1 to 5, give it a 10, no, a 50, or even 100, I would. Such is the experience at La Maison de Jo. Yes, this B&B is very clean and comfortable. It is the marvelous hosts, Jo and Antonio, with support from Mirco, that make a stay at La Maison de Jo elicit such praise from those of us who are fortunate enough to have stayed here. It is there superlative treatment of guests that causes me to extend my effort in describing just how much I appreciate their efforts. So, three examples. Our second stay at La Maison de Jo was our last night of vacation, and our last night in Rome. Jo had arranged a reservation at La Taverna, a popular restaurant. My wife and I were enjoying our meal when Jo and Antonio popped out of their car to wish us well and send us off. THEY SOUGHT US OUT TO SAY GOODBYE! That, dear reader, is truly going beyond what any reasonable guest could expect, but is the norm for these wonderful people who are no longer hosts, but friends. Another example: we spoke with fellow guests who had wanted to go to the Vatican. No problem: Antonio took them over. Going the extra mile literally and figuratively is just part of the DNA of these wonderful folks. A final story. We were told that a couple had come to celebrate a special occasion, and they had spent months making plans. Part of their holiday was to take a bicycle tour. When the car service arrived to pick them up, the driver demurred: he couldn't fit the bicycle. With the main event seemingly ruined, and no thought of how to salvage the mess, the couple was devastated. At any other lodging, they would have been out of luck. At La Maison de Jo going beyond any reasonable expectation is the norm. Antonio and Jo got the bike and the couple squeezed in their own car, and drove them quite a distance to the intended start point of the bike tour. Such is the dedication that Jo, Antonio, and Mirco have, that the reasonable expectation is left far in the rear view mirror of exceptional service. As I said in my prior review, La Maison de Jo is a bit quirky. You, the reader of this review, may be seeking an anodyne experience, to come and go and never think about it again. That will not be the case at La Maison de Jo. Our experience, and that of countless others, is of a stay that we will fondly remember forever as our best travel experience ever. Jo, Antonio, Mirco, thank you for such wonderful memories of Rome!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans La Maison de Jo. L'établissement est calme, très propre et il y a 2 possibilités pour le petit déjeuner...soit dans la chambre soit dans le bar "Le puppi siciliani" situé en bas de l'immeuble. Nous avions tous les jours des boissons fraîches et même une petite bouteille de prosecco pour le réveillon. Le quartier est à 30' environ du centre historique (en bus) et personellement nous avons apprécié d'être loin de l'agitation touristique. Très bons restos dans le quartier. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Juste dommage que nous n'ayons pas rencontré le propriétaire qui s'est par ailleurs montré disponible par téléphone. Merci pour ce super séjour.

Un séjour vraiment extraordinaire à la Maison de Jo! Jo est adorable, serviable et accueillante (et en plus elle est française!). C'est très rassurant de savoir qu'elle est là, pas loin, telle une bonne fée ou une marraine prête à surgir si on a besoin d'elle. La Maison en elle même est très confortable, calme et irréprochablement propre. Nous avions une chambre assez spacieuse avec un petit balcon très agréable et une grande salle de bain très récente. Les croissants et les petites douceurs ont été très appréciés au petit déjeuner (autant que la charcuterie et le fromage à disposition dans le frigo de la cuisine). Arrêt de tram à 3 min et bus à 30 secondes et on rejoint le centre historique (aussi bien que le vatican avec une autre ligne) sans changer de ligne en 30min. Poste, commerces et banque à moins d'une minute à pied. Mille mercis à Jo et a Simone pour ce séjour inoubliable!

C'était tout simplement parfait! Grâce à leur sens de l'accueil et leur générosité exceptionnelle, Jo et Antonio nous ont permis de nous sentir comme à la maison. Ils sont merveilleux, comme leur bed and breakfast!

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti per motivi di lavoro, siamo rimaste piacevolmente sorprese da tutto, la cura dei particolari, la pulizia, la location e in particolare dalla meravigliosa accoglienza di Jocelyne che dopo pochi minuti è diventata una di noi.

Persone fantastiche, tanto amore nei minimi particolari è un posto in cui ritornare. Grazie per tutto.

Ho alloggiato a La Maison de Jo dal 10 al 15 Aprile 2018, ero a Roma per un corso lavorativo. Devo dire che mi sono trovata veramente bene; i proprietari sono delle persone uniche, fantastiche. Li ringrazio per tutto quello che hanno fatto in quei 6 giorni di soggiorno. Sempre disponibili, cordiali e gentili. Anche Mirco, il manager, è veramente bravo e attento ad ogni minima cosa. La camera è sempre stata pulita e di una comodità incredibile. Il bagno, anche se non in camera, era privato e personale, ed anche quello sempre stra pulito. in una posizione tranquilla e più decentrata, ma collegata veramente dappertutto. La cucina piena di ogni necessità, sempre rifornita di cibo e sempre pulita. Servizio Wi-Fi gratuito in tutta la casa. Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia andarci, vi assicuro che non rimarrete delusi. Complimenti per tutto. Mi ha fatto un gran piacere conoscerli. Valentina Mancini.
