Description
Alba sul Vaticano is a lovely and comfortable B&B recently renovated. Located to few steps from the Vatican Museums and 8 minutes walking from Piazza San Pietro, it consists of 4 double rooms cozy and tastefully designed that ensure comfort and cleanliness. All rooms are equipped with inner bathroom with shower and bidet. Alba sul Vaticano is on the third floor of a typical old building of '900. It is situated between the underground line A stations "Cipro-Musei Vaticani" (5 min walking) and "Ottaviano-S. Pietro " (only 7 min walking). Just outside the entrance of the building there is a bus stop for many bus lines that connect the B&B directly to the rest of the city (buses numbers 1, 490, 492, 496). Many sights can be reached walking (Castel St. Angelo, Borgo Pio) or with a short Metro ride (Piazza di Spagna, Colosseo, Piazza Venezia and Piazza del Popolo). The area offers plenty of bars, restaurants and pubs for all pockets and it is one of the most famous for shopping. A very characteristic roman market is just in front of the B&B (Mercato Trionfale) and many supermarkets are a few steps. With a short walk or one stop by subway you can reach the Civil Court and with a short distance (about 10 min) the Supreme Court of Cassation (Ministry of Justice) and the Criminal Court. For sports addicted, fans and music lovers the Olympic Stadium, the Tennis Stadium, the Coni and the Auditorium Parco della Musica are easily accessible by public transport. The Italian breakfast is included in the price and is served in the common room, either directly in your room or by submitting a ticket, provided by the operator, to the bar located near the building. It only accepts cash payment.

Very nice B&B. The room was pleasantly decorated and the breakfast was excellent, with everything you need. The owner was very kind and made me toasted bread with tomato. It is in a fairly convenient location: 6 minutes from the Vatican Museums and 15 minutes from St. Peter's Square. I can highly recommend it.

Alba is an excellent owner and hostess of the property. Attentive and detail-oriented. Charming property, and we enjoyed the conveniences nearby. Located within a 3-5 minute walk of the Vatican Museum entrance and a 15-minute walk from St. Peter's Basilica.

We attempted to locate the proprietor of this establishment upon our scheduled arrival. He didn't answer our calls or texts when we arrived at the property. It seemed very suspicious at best and we had no choice but to make other arrangements. He did process a refund for our deposit.

After 4-5 hours of your arrival, you reported that the sheets seemed dirty and even "smelled. " You called me at 9: 00 PM to let me know. We responded within 30 minutes and, together with you, verified that the duvet cover had blackened in the corner where it had dragged on the floor. However, the sheets were perfectly clean, ironed, and without any stains. The duvet cover was a different white than the sheets, but not dirty. We're always happy to accommodate our guests, and even though it was late, we changed the entire bed, including the clean sheets. Please note that we only use white linens, and if there were no stains on the sheets, I don't understand how they could be considered dirty. You even said they smelled. As mentioned, to reassure you and ensure your complete peace of mind, we replaced all bed linens in your presence. We manage our B&B with the utmost care and attention to hygiene, as evidenced by the over 200 positive reviews we've received (on bedandbreakfast. it alone) over time. The review of the B&B can only be positive, both because of the kindness of Mrs. Alba and Mr. Vito and because of its location just a few steps from the Vatican. The Cipro and Ottaviano metro stations are also nearby, and there is a stop for several buses right outside the property.

I highly recommend this place. We felt at home, comfortable, and fully taken care of by the owners. The apartment's location is close to the centre; we walked everywhere. The breakfasts were tasty and sufficient to give us energy for long walks. The rooms' decor was very interesting and original. The rooms were cleaned daily.

Very kind, welcoming, and accommodating hosts who were willing to meet even the most unusual requests. I am lactose intolerant and as soon as Alba learned this she made sure to buy some for the following morning. They also gave us a little plant and provided essential information about getting around the area. A small B&B in a central but quiet area, convenient for public transport and very clean. I will definitely return later. Thanks again for the hospitality, which is not always a given.

The Vatican and the museums are a few minutes' walk away. The bus stop for reaching all the other points of interest is practically on the doorstep. The metro stop is a few minutes' walk away. Our stay at the property was really pleasant. The value for money is excellent. The owners are really kind and attentive. Highly recommended.

Three days in Rome at this B&B, located in an ideal position a few hundred meters from the Cipro metro station for visiting the city's most important monuments. The property is very well maintained, clean and offers excellent value for money. The breakfast is good and the hosts provide excellent hospitality and attention to guests, with great suggestions both for visiting the city and for places to have lunch. Perhaps the only downside, which is not the fault of the property, is that the room overlooking the street does not facilitate good sleep!

This B&B is a real B&B. It is a structure very close (300 m at most) to the Vatican Museums. Quiet area, equipped with all services (including metro and bus). The room is spotless: hard to find cleaner and well-kept solutions than this one! It is located in a building that gives you a bit of the illusion of being Roman too! The owner is super courteous and helpful. The breakfast is good. We will definitely return!

I stayed 2 nights with my son, the place is top-notch, just a few steps from the subway, convenient for longer trips, and 5 minutes walk from St. Peter's, the room is brand new, super cozy and air-conditioned, the breakfast is good and plentiful. We stayed at Alba Sul Vatican for three nights in June and had a good experience. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary appliances, including a hairdryer. The location is absolutely perfect. We were right in the heart of everything: surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores, a local meat and fish market, and clothing shops. The Vatican was just a 10–15 minute walk away, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. There’s also a bus stop literally outside the building and the Cipro metro station is only about a 7-minute walk. The B&B is set within a residential apartment building, with a few apartments converted into mini studios. Our studio had a combined living and bedroom area and shower room. There’s also a communal kitchen available, though we didn’t use it during our stay. A few things to note: Noise: The street outside can be quite noisy, so if you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting an apartment that doesn’t face the main road. Front door: The front door to the building is very stiff and we struggled to open it at first, but got the hang of it after a couple of tries. Breakfast: Breakfast was provided, but the variety was a bit limited for our taste. It might not suit everyone, but it was still a nice touch. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring Rome, especially if you want to be close to the Vatican and local amenities.

Optimal location near P.zza S. Pietro and well served by bus/metro. We stayed for 8 nights in Rome for tourism. Great location near Vatican City and 2 metro stations which made it easy to get around. Very well priced for the quality of the rooms and service. The hosts were great and very responsive to guest needs and questions. Complimentary breakfast is set out from 7:30am - 10:00am and is delicious. You could even walk to Colosseum and Trastevere in around 40 minutes if you like - it's a beautiful walk with many interesting sights along the way.

I am very impressed by the service in the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The pillows were comfortable. Vatican is a few minutes by walk. The host was a very lovely woman and she let us leave the luggage until the evening because of our delayed flight. I definitely recommend this apartment.

We have just returned from a long weekend at this facility and I must say that we found ourselves very well. The rooms are very nice, furnished in a romantic style and comfortable. The cleaning is perfect, the cleaning lady was putting away objects and clothes she found around the room into the cabinets. The breakfast is abundant and includes various types of sweet and savory foods. The location is excellent, 10 minutes from the Vatican Museums, 5 minutes from the Cipro metro stop which takes you to the center, and bus 492 which stops right outside (which also takes you to the center). The owners are very kind and available for our requests. We will keep you in mind for our next visits to Rome.

The owner of the B&B was very helpful and I could always contact her. What you get for the price is very good. Do not expect a luxury hotel, but expect a cozy little affordable room perfect for a few days spent in Rome. Breakfast is a plus and is everything you need. The place is a perfect find for tourists who want to explore Rome. It is easy to find and very accessible from train and bus stations. There is a small convenience store right outside the building, which makes it easy for tourists to buy snacks or little things they need. The apartment is so neat and clean. Housekeeping is done on a regular basis. The price/rate per night is so worth it. You get good breakfast and a really warm welcome from the owners/host every morning. Non-coffee drinkers like me can also ask for hot chocolate and the owner (who serves guests hands-on) is more than glad to make one for you. :) To top it all, Alba (the lady owner) makes guests feel at home and comfortable by spending some time welcoming and talking to them every morning in the breakfast area. Everything is perfect and there's nothing else we can ask for. Hope to come back in the future.

B&B very close to the Vatican Museums, it consists of two apartments in a building with an internal courtyard. Very close to the metro (Cipro and Ottaviano) and several bus lines (bus stop right in front of the entrance). Breakfast is served in a not very large common area, but nothing is missing (sweet, savory, fruit, hot and cold drinks). The hosts are very kind and available to give advice. Quick check-in and check-out, and it is possible to leave luggage after check-out. Excellent value for money! Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely come back when we are in Rome again!

Finding a nice place to stay in Rome for a reasonable price has proven very difficult every time I tried. This place, however, is something special - really nice, clean, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was really good, and the host/hostess were both lovely people. I'll be staying here next time I visit Rome for sure!

Alba is a very kind host, she gives you all the info you need. The accommodation is very comfortable. The breakfast is great. The accommodation is near the Vatican Museum and the metro. In a nice area with lots of restaurants. Tip: avoid the tourist restaurants. There are a few family restaurants in the same street. They are excellent. Thank you Alba.

Structure not far from the Vatican, but very well connected by bus and metro to the center and to numerous tourist spots in Rome (right outside the door there is a bus that goes to the center and another that goes to the metro stop, which is 400 meters away on foot). Excellent room cleanliness, very quiet air conditioning, excellent and abundant breakfast (both sweet and savory). In the breakfast room there is a refrigerator and a coffee machine always available. The managers are very helpful and provide all the necessary information.

Arrived for 5 nights at Alba sul Vaticano, we had an excellent stay at this B&B. Our two hosts were attentive, available, and accommodating. The good communication before our arrival allowed us to easily arrive after the check-in time. We also received excellent sightseeing tips, and every day the breakfast was plentiful. On the morning of our departure, even though the dining room was full, they even brought it to our room so we could eat before catching the train... What more could you ask for? Thank you very much!

Excellent stay at Alba sul Vaticano. We were very well welcomed by the owners, the room was comfortable and nicely decorated, the breakfast offered a variety of choices. With a short walk you can see all the main monuments, but if you are tired, the metro and bus are very close, and the neighborhood is full of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!

We stayed for three nights from 1/6 to 4/6 and I can only confirm the reviews I had read before booking. Friendly owners, impeccable cleanliness and good breakfast. Excellent location in the center, a stone's throw from the Vatican Museums, metro and bus services, and many affordable restaurants in the area. Highly recommended also for the good value for money.

"Alba sul Vaticano" is a beautiful bed and breakfast just renovated very close to the metro stop "Ottaviano". The neighborhood is quiet and quite calm, rich in restaurants and bars where you can eat. The structure is located in a building without too many pretensions where there is an old-style elevator. The rooms are very clean and tidy (appreciation for those who clean, I was positively surprised), it is evident that they have been recently redecorated. The hosts are extremely helpful for any questions or requests. The breakfast is very rich and very good, prepared fresh every morning. Structure more than recommended.

We can absolutely recommend the accommodation! The contact before arrival was very nice and since we arrived late, the key was left for us. The breakfast was very good. Our host even prepared scrambled eggs for us. The rooms are delightful and thanks to the elevator, they are easily accessible even with tired legs. The room service does a great job, 5-star level! We will gladly come back! Perfect for visiting the Vatican and the host's tips are worth their weight in gold!

Located on the 3rd floor of a slightly dated building, the Bed and Breakfast is simple, unpretentious, at an interesting cost in line with the structure. The managers are very kind and helpful. The location is perfect for Alba sul Vaticano, but a bit far from the city center. However, the metro station is very close and the bus stop is almost in front of the building. The room is a bit small. The breakfast is good and varied.

Strategic location: The B&B is located just a few steps from the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. This was a huge advantage, as we could easily reach these attractions without having to face long walks or transfers. Alba Sul Vaticano, I exceptionally loved this Bed and Breakfast. I am fully satisfied with everything. The location is perfect, just 400 meters from the Cipro metro station. The staff were very friendly, helpful, hospitable. I felt like at home. The cleanliness was fantastic. The rooms were very cosy. Everything was very close. We had a great stay at this B&B. The host was super friendly and gave us a lot of new suggestions on where to go, considering we've been to Rome many times before.\n\nLocation is close to the Vatican, which is not super close to the city center (a beautiful 25-30 minute walk). Bus stop is just outside the B&B and metro is close too if you do not want to walk. The location is however very convenient if you want to see the Vatican since that requires an early morning.\n\nBreakfast was good with more options than we expected. Room was cute and clean and they also cleaned it every day.\n\nWe could not find anything in Rome close to the center that had a better value for the money than Alba sul Vaticano, so we really recommend staying here!

I greatly appreciated the availability of the owner who allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, allowing us to make the most of our stay in the city free from the trolley. Served by metro and surface buses, it is strategically located to visit the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's. With a 30-minute walk you can also reach Piazza Navona passing by Castel Sant'Angelo! We were very satisfied. I highly recommend it. PS: kind and very appropriate the idea of offering frappe for breakfast - during this carnival period - the traditional sweet of this celebration. Vito and family were on hand at breakfast to attend to any special needs and make eggs to order if desired. He was friendly and explained everything on arrival. The B&B was very close to the Vatican museums and an easy walk to the metro. There was also a bus stop near the front door. I would be happy to stay here again.

Alba was a very sweet host. The breakfast was delicious and the room very clean. I am picky about that, so I appreciated it! The only issue was the shower door was in disrepair, but it didn't prevent showering at all. The bus stop was directly outside the B & B so it was very convenient, however, the buses in Rome are a bit unreliable.

Amazing and Best Place to Stay in Rome! We were traveling for the first time to Europe and, like everyone, we were very cautious and took our time reading every review for our safety in another country. We came across this one because of all the positive reviews and now we can see why. Security and Safety are very important to us when traveling, we arrived at a large apartment building and the main door was locked. We were greeted by Vito who was polite, friendly, welcoming, and very helpful with our transportation and made sure we were comfortable. For breakfast, there were plenty of options: croissants, fruit, coffee, crackers, bread, yogurt, and juices. The lady also offers to make eggs for you if you wish. The room was always clean when we came back, we had AC, wifi, and very cozy. Also, a great price! The place itself is in a perfect location, we had plenty to do. A minute away from the Vatican City, many restaurants, souvenir shops, and close to the airport/bus/train/taxi stations. We went on a couple of night walks the last couple of days and the area always felt safe. We are very happy we chose this bed & breakfast and plan to stay again when we return next year. For all first-time travelers to Europe, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making our vacation a wonderful experience!

Absolutely loved staying here, I already want to come back and bring my parents. I was a solo female traveler and felt completely safe. If you arrive at the airport and have AT&T, message her from there because connectivity is spotty when you're in a taxi/train. She gives you a map and everything to introduce you to Rome. This property is within walking distance to the Vatican. Breakfast was wonderful and they provided water and tidied up my room every day. September was cool enough for windows but AC is provided. Also, if you walk down to 127, the family owns the restaurant and they picked out the courses for me with wine and it was heavenly for a dinner close by. Would 100% come stay again!

We had a lovely stay with Vito at Alba sul Vaticano. The location is excellent (under 5 minutes walk to the Vatican Museums and 15 to St Peter's) and the apartment was excellent. As well as a delicious breakfast, there's also a kitchen area where guests can make lunches and dinners. We'd highly recommend!

The room was perfect for our stay in Rome. A small but perfectly functional bedroom with a beautiful tiled private bath. Hosts exceeded our expectations in their graciousness and hospitality. The assortment of Italian pastries, cold cuts, and fruit was amazing. I was even offered scrambled eggs if I wanted them. It was the perfect room for our stay in Rome.

Loved it all! Next to the Vatican Museum. Two subway stations nearby, bus stop at the door, supermarket across the streets. Places to eat and buy nearby. B&B and room were beautiful and clean. I would stay there again!

The room assigned to us at the Alba sul Vaticano was very beautiful, refined, and very clean. The lady is very welcoming and very helpful with all requests. The location, a few minutes walk from the Vatican Museums, is strategic for a nice stay in the Eternal City.

Such a cute place! The hosts were very kind and helpful. They did a little orientation upon check-in. She gave us a map of Rome and circled/highlighted some good food spots and attractions. Highly recommend her recommendations! The room's AC works very well and quickly, even has a quiet mode. By the way, Rome is hot in June. It was 34 and barely any breeze between the streets. The building also has an elevator you can use or you can go up for 4 floors, stairs are spacious and all open courtyard in the middle. Alba and her husband Vito made our stay in Italy a wonderful one. Would absolutely recommend staying there!

Everything was fantastic! This place is a treasure in a very quiet building near the Vatican, very close to the metro and bus station if you need public transportation. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped, always with coffee and tea available. Breakfast was served on the upper floor, so delicious and very varied, catering to all tastes. The hosts were simply amazing, very friendly and helpful, always smiling. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for more, it was the perfect place to rest, and to be honest, I wished we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely come back.

I was in Rome for 4 days. It was breathtakingly beautiful. The best part of the trip, however, was the Bed & Breakfast of Alba sul Vaticano. Very close to the Vatican. Quiet in the backyard, everything very clean and tidy. The rooms furnished with taste and attention to detail. Many extras like kitchen usage, chilled drinks, and an incredible continental breakfast. Who would say that in Italy there are no good breakfasts. Mortadella, ham, salami, cheese, fruit, yogurt, various coffee specialties, and super scrambled eggs on request. Fantastic. And all at a reasonable price. Tips from owner Alba for visiting Rome's sights and bus connections on top. Truly great. Recommended for those planning an individual visit to Rome.

Upon our arrival at the guesthouse, we felt like we found one of Rome's best-kept secrets. The guesthouse is a family-run establishment, well-kept and clean, and in a very quiet building which was perfect to end our busy days exploring Rome. Breakfast was always delicious and served in the lovely dining room. Location was perfect - a relatively short walk to the Vatican museum and other famous landmarks but the neighbourhood did not feel overly touristy. The Cipro metro station is also very close. We felt that the price was very fair considering the many services and amenities. Alba was a very kind and accommodating host during our time in Rome. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed two nights at the Alba sul Vaticano bed and breakfast and the experience was positive from the start. We were warmly welcomed, with precise information and availability. The room turned out to be very nice, as well as the kitchen and breakfast. The apartment is in a great location, close to the Vatican, and you can easily move around by bus and metro to the most attractive areas of Rome. Recommend!

The managers of the Bed and Breakfast are truly affable and kind, very helpful and caring. Good breakfast with delicious homemade pastries. Comfortable and clean room. The only 'negative' thing is the lack of a bidet in the bathroom. Great location of the structure. Just outside there is a bus stop and only 800 meters from Ottaviano metro station. The structure is located on a street parallel to the Vatican Museums. I recommend it also because the quality/price ratio is very good.

Highly recommend - this is an elegant, lovely, freshly-renovated space and a location that lets you see both the Vatican and a lively Roman neighbourhood. The owner gives an excellent orientation to start so anyone unfamiliar with Rome will have details of local attractions, transportation options and ideas for eating. I would stay again.

Very kind and detail-oriented host, very clean, 200 meters from the Vatican Museums, and right at the accommodation's doorstep there is a bus stop with very well-connected lines to the center. A total success, I give it a 10 to everything.

Structure managed very well. Clean, tidy, very comfortable and functional. Managers are extremely helpful! We had made a request that was promptly satisfied. Fully satisfied.

My friend and I were lucky to be able to book just before departure, we stayed for two nights and even trying hard we can't find any faults with our stay. The staff made us feel at home, very kind and helpful. Spacious, beautiful and above all clean room. We will definitely come back, highly recommended.

I had the fortune to stay in this wonderful accommodation located in a quiet position just steps from St. Peter's Square. The room was very clean, the linen and furnishings new and refined. I also had the chance to experience the exquisite kindness and courteous availability of the owner and her family. I highly recommend it.

Mrs. Alba was very kind and extremely helpful in giving us advice for our requests, especially regarding gastronomy, which turned out to be excellent. The location is enviable. Breakfast is truly superb, with sweet and savory items of excellent quality, and the room is very clean. We will definitely return on the next occasion.

I stayed in Rome for just one night but I found everything I was looking for at Alba sul Vaticano. I was looking for something close to St. Peter's Square and this Bed and Breakfast is in a great location, very close to the entrance of the Vatican Museums. Everything newly renovated and of excellent taste. I found in Alba a truly exquisite lady, very kind and helpful. I was alone on this trip but I will definitely come back with my family. Highly recommended.

Alba sul Vaticano is really a place where we feel good. It is perfectly located close to the Vatican and Alba does everything to help. I recommend this B&B. Jean Louis and Christina from Paris.

Alba and Vito are such sweet hosts. I was welcomed into the AirBnb. Be aware that you need to buzz the Alba Sul Vaticano apartment to get in. The door is gold and hard to miss. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, but remember that the ground floor is floor zero in Italy. The room was very white and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The only issue I had was that the towels weren't very soft. Other than that I had a great experience. I spent 4 nights there and Alba and Vito were very accommodating. They both make the best cappuccinos. Ice cold air conditioning and new and interesting people to meet at breakfast every morning. Over the tables in the kitchen they have a map with pins from where each visitor was from. Vito said they remove the pins every year. It was quite impressive and I met a lovely Chilean couple, a French couple, and some German friends during my stay. I would definitely recommend the B&B to all my friends and family.

If you want to see Rome, this is perfect. Just a stone's throw (really) from the Vatican, a clean B&B run by an extremely friendly lady. The breakfast is exciting, rich with everything! Due to an engagement, I should have skipped it to leave early that morning, but the lady kindly asked me to stay, and I was right to follow her advice: all the delicacies just out of the oven that I still remember! And to top it all off, to make sure I did not arrive late for my appointment, she even gave me a ride on her scooter while acting as my mini-guide! Incredible! A Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn reversed!

We stayed at the B&B of Mrs. Alba on the occasion of the Depeche Mode concert. We were satisfied with the strategic location for moving around Rome, the proximity to the stadium, St. Peter's, and the places to visit. The structure is quite silent, located in an ancient building, near the metro. The welcome was excellent, the managers were very friendly, the rooms were clean and tastefully renovated. The breakfast is genuine and with fresh products. Congratulations!

Very welcoming B&B. Kindness, cordiality, and availability are the adjectives that the lady who manages this structure deserves. Strategic point, close to the Vatican, well connected by public transport and very close to the subway.
