Description

Ai Glicini Country House is a bed and breakfast on the Castelli Romani, at 15 km South of Rome and 2 km from Castel Gandolfo (Pope’s summer residence), 1 km from Albano Lake (1 km).

In the Roman Country, 8 km from Ciampino airport. Comfortable double rooms with view over our private garden, with parking, surrounded by vineyard and olive grove, for relax, sun bathe and sporting clubs.

Our B&B at Castel Gandolfo proposes first Italian-style breakfast with jams of our orchard.

My mother and I had a great time at B&B Ai Glicini, the owner is very kind, the place is beautiful, the apartment is clean, the price is very affordable. Relaxation is guaranteed. If I may give a suggestion, I would offer a slightly more varied breakfast (maybe some fruit, a few biscuits, and the possibility to make tea), but even so it's great, positive experience.

Great welcome. The owner is extremely helpful and does her job in the best way. We really enjoyed ourselves. Also, the structure, despite being in a quiet countryside area, is located just a step away from the Appian Way, making it an excellent base for those who want to visit Rome without necessarily having to stay in the city.

Our stay at B&B Ai Glicini was the best stay during our travel around Rome. Breakfast was great! Antonella was very friendly and helped us a lot with her advice. The surrounding area is beautiful and we could relax from the busy Rome.

I stayed in a mini-independent apartment even though it was adjacent to another one of the same type but with common outdoor areas (a table under the gazebo for breakfast), still comfortable, in a countryside area but close to other houses, not isolated, residential context, 10 minutes by car from Castel Gandolfo. The beautiful garden around, amidst plants and flowers, Mediterranean vegetation, spacious, very pleasant and relaxing. \nI gave it a score of 9 for everything, accurate service, excellent setting. The mini accommodation is equipped with a hairdryer, mini-fridge, fan (air conditioning not present but not needed), TV, bed linen and towels, mosquito nets. Despite the intense heat of this period, I certainly did not stay inside the mini-accommodation during the day or in the hottest hours, but at night I slept well, even without a fan, just by keeping the windows open, already equipped with mosquito nets. I didn't feel like giving the highest score, that is 10, because perfection doesn't exist, also to give the most objective judgment possible. I can really say that I felt good and who knows, I might go back even in the cold season. The owner is attentive and kind.

We stayed at this property with my husband and two children. Very nice property, the owner kind and helpful. Extremely clean room. The only flaw is the bathroom! Very small, no bidet and non-functioning toilet flush. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. We hope to return.

For those who wish to visit Rome and stay away from the chaos on the hills and in the greenery of the Castelli Romani, the B&B Ai Glicini is the ideal place: located in the municipality of Marino, it is about 2 km away from Marino's center and Castel Gandolfo's center. From the B&B, you can reach the Travertino Metro station with about 10 km by car on a straight road, along which you will find all services, including Ciampino airport. The rating is reduced due to the limited internal parking. The manager, always present, stands out for her bon ton and availability. The prices are affordable even though it is in a higher-level location. Communication with other guests is easy, especially in the spacious room used for breakfast. It is possible to use the kitchen, equipped with everything, which must be returned clean. The rooms are tidied up daily. General cleanliness and in the rooms deserve more attention. The abundant breakfast includes only packaged products.
