If you are near and love history, don't miss this place. You will have the opportunity to stay within a more than two-century-old very well-restored noble house with original furnishings and artefacts. The host Anna - descendant of the original owners - is very forthcoming and helpful and gladly explains all details about the house, its history, and surroundings. Polcenigo itself is a very nice and interesting old small city situated in a deep valley full of narrow twisting streets inviting for exploration. The breakfast is tasty and abundant.

Our stay at Palazzo Scolari was one of the highlights of our time in Italy! The property is gorgeous and has so much history. We felt very welcome and were able to make ourselves at home during our visit. Egle (Anna's sister) was our host and she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed - and then some. We followed her excellent recommendations for local sightseeing and enjoyed learning about the property and the garden. She created special breakfasts for us and even took our family picture! The location allowed us to walk everywhere and when we needed to drive, there was always plenty of parking and easy access through a private gate. Polcenigo has a fun, lively community scene in the evenings and my only caution is to suggest that if you go to bed early, you may want to request a room on the courtyard instead of the street to cut down on noise at night. We look forward to a return visit!

Pleasant and professional welcome from Mrs. Anna, in a location rich in history. Not to be overlooked, our dog was able to roam freely in the well-kept garden. Otherwise all good, top cleanliness but above all excellent breakfast with homemade cake the night before, seen with my own eyes. Recommended!

We visited from America. Palazzo Scolari is more than a place to stay when you visit Northern Italy. It is a true home away from home. It is a magnificent, historic, clean and beautiful Italian Villa. We stayed for 10 days with our whole family. My husband and I and our five children from 24 to 11 years old. The owner Anna is part of our family now. She went above and beyond for us. She is smart, gracious, kind, organized and fair. This was also a great value, a benefit to stay in a smaller town outside the bigger cities, but still close to travel all around Italy, Austria and Germany and to mountains and beaches and the US Aviano, airbase where my husband and I were stationed more than 20 years prior. The wifi and breakfasts were excellent as well. We loved everything about this place!

Siamo stati benissimo e ritorneremo appena possibile.

The answer from the host:

The answer from the host:
