A bohemian retreat where history meets contemporary comfort.
Welcome to Maison Juliet Trieste. Located on the first floor of a historic 1878 building—once home to the executives of the famous Dreher brewery—our apartment was elegantly renovated in December 2023 to offer you an authentic and relaxing experience.
An atmosphere of yesteryear between culture and relaxation
The classic-eclectic decor pairs beautifully with the silence of our private internal courtyard. We are located right in the beating heart of Trieste.

Behind the Scenes: Massimo’s Story
Hi, I’m Massimo Werner. I was born and raised among the windy streets of Trieste, and I carry the history of this border city in my heart. With a background as a tour guide and a career in real estate, I decided to create Maison Juliet Trieste to offer travelers not just a bed, but an authentic experience.
This property is not just a holiday rental; it is the result of my desire to share "my" Trieste with others. I chose this 1878 building because I immediately felt its historic charm, and I wanted to restore it to preserve its soul, while adding the modern comfort that every traveler deserves.
Experience Trieste like a Local
Maison Juliet Trieste reflects my philosophy of travel: discovery, comfort, and a touch of bohemian soul. Staying here means experiencing the city surrounded by beauty and the silence of a private internal courtyard.
.Let yourself be captivated by the charm of our city. I look forward to welcoming you!

Area city center
We are located right in the beating heart of Trieste:
Viale XX Settembre: the elegant boulevard loved by Italo Svevo and James Joyce is just a few steps away.
Politeama Rossetti Theater: only a 2-minute walk away.
Public Garden (Giardino Pubblico) : 1 minute away for your relaxation surrounded by greenery.
Piazza Unità d'Italia: a pleasant 15-20 minute stroll through the city center.
But the real added value is what happens right outside your door.
I love recommending lesser-known gems to my guests, such as the best "osmize" (traditional rustic taverns) up on the Karst plateau...
...or the best table to read a book or a newspaper in the historic Caffè San Marco.
I am at your complete disposal to show you the finest trail for admiring the sunset over the sea...
...or the restaurant where true, authentic locals go to eat.
Discover the Wonders of Trieste: Your Adventure Begins Here
Trieste is a city made of layers, where Roman ruins live side by side with Habsburg palaces. Staying at Maison Juliet Trieste, you will be perfectly positioned to explore these treasures:
San Giusto Cathedral and Castle: Explore the medieval heart of the city and enjoy the most iconic panoramic view over the red rooftops and the sea.
Roman Theater: A splendid ancient arena nestled right into the fabric of the modern city.
Grand Canal (Canal Grande) : The vibrant Ponte Rosso area, ideal for a coffee or an evening aperitif by the water.
Synagogue of Trieste: Be enchanted by one of the most majestic Jewish temples on the continent; it is, in fact, the second largest synagogue in Europe, a symbol of our city's multicultural and cosmopolitan nature.
Revoltella Museum: A world-class modern art gallery seamlessly blended with the lavish historic residence of Baron Revoltella.
Risiera di San Sabba: A poignant and essential place of remembrance, the only Nazi concentration camp with a crematorium oven in Italy.
Miramare Castle: The fairytale white castle of Maximilian of Habsburg, surrounded by a lush park overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
Duino Castle: A cliffside castle overlooking the sea, still inhabited today, famous for hosting the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. The "Rilke Trail" connecting it to Sistiana offers one of the most scenic walks in the entire Upper Adriatic.
Barcola and the Coastal Road (Costiera) : Join the locals for a stroll (or a dip!) along the Barcola pine grove. In summer, the Trieste coast offers breathtaking cliffs and crystal-clear waters.
Grotta Gigante (Giant Cave) : Descend into one of the largest tourist caves in the world, an underground wonder of the Karst plateau.
Muggia: A charming Venetian-style seaside village, which can be reached via a picturesque ferry ride across the bay.
