Description

After an expert and careful restoration, in the heart of the historical centre of Spilimbergo, in a relaxing environment, lies La Macia House; a splendid residence full of fascination and geographical atmosphere. Spirit of America, Asian Dream and African wind are the three exclusive rooms that have been personalised according to different, refined and welcoming styles. The first is a twin-bedded room, the others double, also for single use. All of them are equipped with independent heating, air conditioning, television, free Internet connection, private bath and free coffe bar inside the residence. Italian breakfast is served at two sweety bars partners in down town very close to La Macia House.. Large parking area at one hundred metres. English and Spanish is spoken.

Spilimbergo is one of the most beautiful and fascinating art cities in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Located on the banks of the Tagliamento river, it is known as the city of mosaics due to the presence of the school that inherits the ancient Roman and Byzantine mosaic tradition, known throughout the world.

However, it is also a city of art and culture, rich in ancient Roman-Gothic monuments such as the cathedral and the castle, embellished with frescoes, stucco and works of illustrious artists from the 14th and 15th centuries.

We stayed here for the second time over a weekend and were again satisfied with the accommodation. Only in the "Asia" Room is there a lack of a wardrobe to hang up clothes. So we had to live out of the suitcase, which is sufficient for a weekend. During a longer stay, a wardrobe is definitely missing.

We were warmly welcomed. The room was very clean and had air conditioning. Everything you need is available, even in the beautiful bathroom. The location is very central and excellent. We will gladly come back. Breakfast was taken outside at a very delicious nearby bakery.

The location is definitely the strength of the structure. The themed rooms may be a bit pretentious, but with a bit of humor one can adapt well and they are clean. Rather than a Bed & Breakfast, I would say that you can talk about rented rooms since the breakfast to be consumed through a voucher at a nearby bar that only opens at 8 in the morning is not the best.

From the web presentation with this location, one would expect a view of the pedestrian area or a similarly charming environment, not down to the backyard, with a somewhat unattractive perspective over the architectural sins of the last decades. A small consolation was that in the distance behind, the mountains could be seen a little.

Ideally located in the center of Spilimbergo. The host is absolutely wonderful and always available when needed. Be aware that the property is located on the third floor and may not suit everyone. Rooms are lovely and the location is very quiet even though it is in the town center.

Would not recommend this property. Thought the fee was considerably expensive for 2 rooms with attached bathrooms. We were provided with very few amenities, so we had to purchase our own soap, toilet paper and would have purchased more towels if we could find a linen store. Host was not on property. Would not recommend this place.

Leggo la recensione della signora Re e, rimanendo perplesso circa le sue annotazioni, vorrei puntualizzare che: Il prezzo definito "costoso" per una camera doppia ad uso singola pari a 55.00 euro è quello applicato in periodi altamente di alta stagione visto che si parla dei giorni a cavallo tra Natale e Capodanno. Ciò nonostante non mi sembrerebbe, vista la location, così alta da definirlo "considerably expensive". Per quanto riguarda la dotazione bagno era quella normale per l'uso singola, ma non solo, a richiesta dell'ospite è stata consegnato anche un asciugamano e un cuscino supplementare seduta stante. Se l'ospite non presente si riferisce al proprietario, essendo un affittacamere, non è prevista la presenza del titolare al piano delle camere. Tutto qui. Grazie comunque delle note perché sono sempre motivo di riflessioni costruttive. Buon proseguimento d'anno! Lucio Laurora.

La Macia House is a lovely Bed and Breakfast located in the historic center of Spilimbergo, managed by Lucio (very kind) with great correctness and sympathy. The ideal place for those who want to stay in the heart of the 'medieval village' with all the comforts at a more than reasonable price. We had a great time. Thank you, we will be back.

The furniture and cleanliness of the rooms are very well taken care of; very convenient because it is located right in the center of Spilimbergo, with free parking for the car just steps away. Courtesy and full availability from the manager. I definitely recommend it!
