Serena, Marco, and Jacopo are pleased to welcome you to the "La finestra sulla contea" Vacation House!
From the restoration of an old barn comes a characteristic Carnic dwelling that will make you experience an authentic vacation immersed in the splendid local reality..the window on the county!
The house is spread over three floors and has 6 beds available.
At your disposal is a garden with an outdoor table, small barbecue, and games for children.
On the ground floor, we are greeted by a large, old-fashioned kitchen that leads us to the first floor where there is a cozy living room with a desk, sofa bed, and a half bath.
On the top floor, there are two double bedrooms with a bathroom.
We offer ourselves as a plastic-free and pet-friendly facility..there will always be a little welcome gift for our four-legged friends!
We are an eco-vacation house and a "Bicycle-friendly facility". We have first-aid tools for your bike available.
The house is suitable for smart working and families, with a small attention to physical well-being.
Cyclists, motorcyclists, pilgrims, families, singles, and small groups are welcome!
In the village, there are pastry shops, bars, various shops, a bank, a bakery, a newsstand, a pharmacy, a bus stop, a laundry, a pub, takeaways, and restaurants and pizzerias are just a short distance away. Only 12 km away, you can find a cinema, theater, swimming pool, and gym.

We infinitely love our mountains, we are proud of the values passed down from our grandparents, but above all, we love to compare ourselves with the world. The holiday home "The Window on the County" is located in the center of Ovaro, on the road to Sappada and the Coglians massif, towards Comelico, just a step away from the spectacular Val Pesarina also known as the "Valley of Time", from where you can reach the Malghe di Casera Razzo and descend towards the alpine gems of Sauris and Forni di Sopra in the spectacular Friulian Dolomites, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
The village of Ovaro is located at the foot of Zoncolan, the mythical Kaiser, an ideal starting point for cycling excursions on the climbs of the Giro d'Italia and the Crostis with a spectacular panoramic view of the peaks.
Hiking itineraries such as the Path of the Parishes and Faith offer the opportunity to walk or cycle along fascinating paths that allow you to discover the hidden corners of Carnia through history, passing through the Roman center of Iulium Carnicum and its interesting museum. The nearby massifs of Coglians, Peralba and Pesarine offer the possibility of climbing and trekking at high levels even for the most experienced. We are 7 km away from the "Devil's Flour" via ferrata and the Vinadia Gorge.

Wonderful house! The kindness and care of the owners made us experience a wonderful vacation in the magical lands of Carnia. The house was warm and welcoming, we really relaxed a lot. The play corner for children is a gem that we appreciated very much. In short, a magical place both the house and Carnia, with really wonderful people! The view of the mountains from the window of the upstairs room in the morning is priceless, just like all the attention given by the owners for our little one.

Beautiful structure (renovated barn), very clean, comfortable and spacious. The host Serena is unparalleled in courtesy and attention towards us. The welcome gift with local food and wine products was highly appreciated. We will definitely come back. Daniela and Roberto.
