Il Melograno

Our stay at Il Melograno was impeccable! Mr. Fabio made sure nothing was missing: everything was perfect and cared for down to the smallest details. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the warm welcome made us feel at home.

This B&B is in a convenient location for those traveling by car because, being slightly away from the center, the surrounding streets offer free parking and it is easier to find a spot. On foot you can reach Piazza Unità d'Italia with about a 20-minute downhill walk. On the return you can also walk since the uphill is gentle. Alternatively, a few meters from the B&B there is a bus stop that takes you to the center in seven stops, and you can pay on board by credit card. The B&B is run by Mr. Fabio, who welcomes guests with his Tuscan accent that brings cheer. The rooms are spacious, very clean and tastefully furnished. Our room did not have a private bathroom, but there was a bathroom in the corridor for exclusive use. This was also very clean. Fabio prepares breakfast directly in the B&B kitchen at the requested times and gives very useful information on how to get around and what to see in Trieste. Recommended especially for the price, truly advantageous, for the cleanliness and overall for the excellent host, Mr. Fabio.

Excellent value for money. It can be reached from the station by several bus lines in less than 15 minutes. The host is very helpful. Spacious room, furnished with elegance and simplicity, very quiet.

Fabio is a very kind and accommodating host. He did everything to make us feel at home and gave us several tips on what to do and see. If we pass through Trieste again, we will definitely come back here!

Fabio is such a kind and friendly host. He did everything to make us feel comfortable in his property. Breakfast is a typical Italian one, and Fabio was flexible in providing it at any time we wanted. Although we stayed only two nights and were out most of the time, we had the chance to have small, pleasant conversations with Fabio during breakfasts. The property is located not far from the main bus and train stations and is easily accessible by public transport, about 15-20 minutes by several direct buses. The rooms and the shared areas of the apartment are nicely decorated and very clean. Highly recommended place to stay when exploring wonderful Trieste.

Great facility just a few kilometers from the center, easily reachable by bus. Mr. Fabio welcomed us very well and made himself available right away. The breakfast is delicious.

Large rooms, excellent cleanliness, and very comfortable beds. Fabio is an exceptional host, he made us feel like we were family. A wonderful person who gave us all the useful information to visit Trieste at its best and also where to eat well. It was a great experience. We hope to return. Thank you very much for everything. The B&B Melograno was perfect for us. We slept very well, the room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We especially liked Fabio's hospitality, a person who obviously cares for his business and values dialogue with guests. Fabio recommended various places to eat and points of interest to visit. Based on his advice, we ate very well and created an itinerary to discover all the most beautiful places in the city, all on foot.

Elegant and spotless structure. Mr. Fabio, the owner of the structure, is a very kind person, ready to meet any possible need. If I return to Trieste one day, I would have no doubt about where to go.

Great structure, excellent cleanliness, Fabio is always present for every need, personally prepares breakfast, makes you feel like a guest in his home. Well connected, bus just a few meters away that allows you to reach any point in the city. Highly recommended also for the excellent quality-price ratio.

This B&B is one of the best we have ever stayed at! The rooms are very bright and spacious, the bath is very well equipped and beautifully designed and the host is extremely generous. Thank you for the stay and the great breakfast!

Very clean, friendly and accommodating! Parking spaces around the apartment available, you quickly reach the highway. Great for trips to the surrounding area, bars, cafes and restaurants, supermarkets nearby. 25 minutes walk to the Grand Canal.

Fabio was a great host! We felt really comfortable! Good breakfast! Even our room was tidied up. We didn't expect that :-) Lots of information about Trieste and the surrounding area. Upon departure he called us a taxi and informed the taxi driver about our destination! If you're looking for a cozy small private accommodation, you're in good hands with Fabio.

I spent two pleasant nights at the b&b of Mr. Fabio, who is an exceptional, caring, and welcoming person. I had to leave earlier and he did not charge me for the last night. The room and the bathroom I shared with another guest were super clean. The breakfast was varied. The bus is very close and connected to the station. I will always refer to him for my future stays in Trieste. Thank you.

We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast during New Year's Eve, the value for money is excellent, the structure is very clean and well maintained and the manager is very welcoming, kind and helpful in recommending places to visit, typical restaurants to eat at and means of transportation to take. Friendly atmosphere. We had a great time and therefore we recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the elegant city of Trieste.

We stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast located just a few minutes from the center, reachable by bus or on foot. Clean, well-kept rooms, beautiful in every detail. What we liked most is the care and passion that the owner puts into managing the bed and breakfast, making the guest feel at home.

Fabio is a fantastic host, very professional, open for exchanges, and happy to provide you with the best advice on food/visits, etc. We found the apartment was clean and calm. Not very close to the city center by walk (20min) but well served by nearby buses (several lines). The only thing we didn't like was the rain during our stay! Thank you Fabio.

B&B extremely well-kept both in furnishings and cleanliness. Located less than half an hour's walk from Piazza Unità d'Italia, it is an excellent solution for those arriving in Trieste by car, as free street parking is available in the area. Worth mentioning the great hospitality of the owner. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

I stayed with my family at Fabio's place, who I consider a person of kindness and courtesy like I've never seen before. The house, room, and bathroom were spotless. The owner is always available for any need. I highly recommend staying at this property, which reflects a simple and family-friendly environment.

For a short vacation with two friends, we chose the Melograno B&B as our accommodation to visit the city of Trieste and some nearby locations: Muggia, Grado, Miramare, Duino, Aquileia. The Melograno is a bit far from the center but well served by public transport, however, with Fabio's tips, we managed to reach and visit almost all the planned destinations.

What a beautiful and unique b&b. The host Fabio manages it like in a 5-star hotel. The room was perfectly clean. We received daily little attentions like fruits, fresh water, etc.! The breakfast is wonderful and the host himself very kind and helpful! Thank you Fabio.

A truly delightful place, set in the context of an ancient building not too far from the center of the nightlife. Carefully and tastefully arranged by Fabio (the manager), a delightful, helpful, polite, kind, and prepared person. Ready to advise you on everything and everywhere. Spotless... the room is practically rearranged daily with a change of bath linens. Rich and varied breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time (family: father, mother, daughter). I highly recommend it, you won't regret it, quite the opposite.

There is no private parking but you can park on the street or in the surrounding streets, for free. Maximum cleanliness, order, and attention to detail in every area of the B&B. Mr. Fabio, the owner, has always been very kind and available to provide us with all the information on things to see in Trieste and on excellent places to eat, and also left us a nice gift on our departure, as a memento of our stay. I stayed 10 days at Il Melograno, if you are looking for cleanliness, friendliness with the manager, convenient central location with transportation to go anywhere, excellent breakfast, great bed, this is the place for you. Contact the manager, he will give you all the information on how to move around the best way in Trieste and surroundings. Bed and Breakfast recommended to everyone.

The structure looks good, warm and welcoming and the manager has shown exemplary courtesy. I have only a couple of notes to make regarding the single bathroom available and the lack of shampoo and soap for the shower. When I travel, I don't usually bring those with me.

Hello, I stayed with my husband and daughter in Trieste in August for only 1 day and 1 night. For us, the stay at the B&B "Il Melograno" was really excellent. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The house is located a 15-minute walk from the city center, free parking is easily available right in front of the house. Fabio, the owner, is a very kind, reserved, and hospitable man.

I highly recommend this B&B to everyone. Everything is perfect and the owner Fabio is fantastic, helpful, and kind.

Fabio is a very nice host, his cappuccino for breakfast is great! And the room is pretty.

Fabio, the manager, is very friendly and explains well how to move around the city. He gives excellent advice on places to eat fish, meat, ice cream, or local specialties. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated. The room is very nice and spacious. The only small inconvenience is that the bathroom is not in the room. The property is 2 kilometers from the center of Trieste, in a peripheral area where we had difficulty parking (as in the rest of the city). Nevertheless, we highly recommend it, well done Fabio!
