Description

The very recently opened B&B “Il Melograno” is located in a warm and welcoming home built in 30’s and completely renovated by preserving distinctive architectural characteristics of that period. The three cozy rooms: "Don’t forget me", "Tulip", and "Lavender", are furnished with care and simplicity. The rooms are new, clean, comfortable, and well equipped with all the modern amenities in order to provide a pleasant and unforgettable stay. The B&B is located close to the central area of Trieste and served frequently by public transportation (busses), which allow easy and rapid transit toward other interesting places of the city. Starting by the heart of the city itself, the wonderful Piazza Unita’ d’Italia with the XIX-century City Hall palace and many others. The city square (Piazza Unita’ d’Italia) is opened directly to the sea exposing a magnificent view rarely found elsewhere. There you can find many popular and elegant cafés, among which the most famous is “Il Caffe’ degli Specchi”.

The breakfast that is served consists of: espresso or American coffee, cappuccino, tea / herbal tea, milk, fruit juices of different flavors, yogurt, rusks, butter, jams of various flavors, nutella, fresh bread every morning, croissants, cornflakes, muesli, honey.

On request, but before arrival, breakfast for celiacs and / or vegans can also be offered. 10 euro supplement only for the first night.

The B&B is located in a convenient area to reach any place in the city, right in front of the Trieste Stabile Theater La Contrada "Orazio Bobbio", a 10-minute walk from the War for Peace Museum "Diego De Henriquez", the State Archive headquarters, and 600 meters from the Sanatorio Triestino healthcare facility.

The bus stops that take you to the Nereo Rocco stadium, the Palatrieste, the Cattinara hospital, and the Maggiore hospital are very close by.

Very clean, friendly and accommodating! Parking spaces around the apartment available, you quickly reach the highway. Great for trips to the surrounding area, bars, cafes and restaurants, supermarkets nearby. 25 minutes walk to the Grand Canal.

Fabio was a great host! We felt really comfortable! Good breakfast! Even our room was tidied up. We didn't expect that :-) Lots of information about Trieste and the surrounding area. Upon departure he called us a taxi and informed the taxi driver about our destination! If you're looking for a cozy small private accommodation, you're in good hands with Fabio.

I spent two pleasant nights at the b&b of Mr. Fabio, who is an exceptional, caring, and welcoming person. I had to leave earlier and he did not charge me for the last night. The room and the bathroom I shared with another guest were super clean. The breakfast was varied. The bus is very close and connected to the station. We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast during New Year's Eve, the value for money is excellent, the structure is very clean and well maintained and the manager is very welcoming, kind and helpful in recommending places to visit, typical restaurants to eat at and means of transportation to take. Friendly atmosphere. We had a great time and therefore we recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the elegant city of Trieste.

Fabio is a fantastic host, very professional, open for exchanges, and happy to provide you with the best advice on food/visits, etc. We found the apartment was clean and calm. Not very close to the city center by walk (20min) but well served by nearby buses (several lines). The only thing we didn't like was the rain during our stay! Thank you Fabio.

B&B extremely well-kept both in furnishings and cleanliness. Located less than half an hour's walk from Piazza Unità d'Italia, it is an excellent solution for those arriving in Trieste by car, as free street parking is available in the area. Worth mentioning the great hospitality of the owner. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

For a short vacation with two friends, we chose the Melograno B&B as our accommodation to visit the city of Trieste and some nearby locations: Muggia, Grado, Miramare, Duino, Aquileia. The Melograno is a bit far from the center but well served by public transport, however, with Fabio's tips, we managed to reach and visit almost all the planned destinations.

What a beautiful and unique b&b. The host Fabio manages it like in a 5-star hotel. The room was perfectly clean. We received daily little attentions like fruits, fresh water, etc.! The breakfast is wonderful and the host himself very kind and helpful! Thank you Fabio.

A truly delightful place, set in the context of an ancient building not too far from the center of the nightlife. Carefully and tastefully arranged by Fabio (the manager), a delightful, helpful, polite, kind, and prepared person. Ready to advise you on everything and everywhere. Spotless... the room is practically rearranged daily with a change of bath linens. Rich and varied breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time (family: father, mother, daughter). I highly recommend it, you won't regret it, quite the opposite.

We stayed for 3 nights at B&B Il Melograno and we had a great time. We had the room Forget-me-not, which is beautiful and spacious as in the pictures. The property is in a residential area about 15/20 minutes walk from the center but there are some public transport stops nearby. There is no private parking but you can park on the street or in the surrounding streets, for free. Maximum cleanliness, order, and attention to detail in every area of the B&B. Varied and abundant breakfast. Mr. Fabio, the owner, has always been very kind and available to provide us with all the information on things to see in Trieste and on excellent places to eat, and also left us a nice gift on our departure, as a memento of our stay. We absolutely recommend Il Melograno for your holiday in Trieste!

The B&B Il Melograno is a gem, exactly as one would expect from the photos, and has an excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished, very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and fragrant. The manager, Mr. Fabio, is a very kind person, personally taking care of every aspect with taste. He provided us with all the necessary information to explore the city, and also directed us to a very nice trattoria for dinner. Breakfast with lots of choices. The property is in a slightly peripheral area, but the city center is easily reachable on foot in 20 minutes. We absolutely recommend Il Melograno.

The structure looks good, warm and welcoming and the manager has shown exemplary courtesy. I have only a couple of notes to make regarding the single bathroom available and the lack of shampoo and soap for the shower. When I travel, I don't usually bring those with me.

Hello, I stayed with my husband and daughter in Trieste in August for only 1 day and 1 night. For us, the stay at the B&B "Il Melograno" was really excellent. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The house is located a 15-minute walk from the city center, free parking is easily available right in front of the house. Fabio, the owner, is a very kind, reserved, and hospitable man.

Fabio, the manager, is very friendly and explains well how to move around the city. He gives excellent advice on places to eat fish, meat, ice cream, or local specialties. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated. The room is very nice and spacious. The only small inconvenience is that the bathroom is not in the room. The property is 2 kilometers from the center of Trieste, in a peripheral area where we had difficulty parking (as in the rest of the city). Nevertheless, we highly recommend it, well done Fabio!
