Description

Located in the heart of the historic center of Erto PN, where the past has left an indelible mark, the B&B Il Gufo is ready to welcome guests once again. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the house provides all the amenities and modern comforts.

The village is a step back in time surrounded by imposing mountains that offer exciting excursions. It is located in the Friulian Dolomites Park, where the emphasis is on preserving the flora and fauna of the area, maintaining the flavor of a wild nature.

The sad witness of the VAJONT DAM, which caused the disaster on the night of October 9, 1963, resulting in the murder of almost 2,000 people, the destruction of Longarone, and the evacuation and abandonment of Erto and Casso PN.

The small village is now being reborn and is the birthplace of the writer, climber, and sculptor Mauro Corona.

We stayed last weekend in this marvel in the historic center of Erto, a village that has a great emotional significance for us. The same love for the territory - indeed, greater - that you breathe at Il Gufo B&B and that transpires from the words of the manager Karim, a delightful person and almost from another era. Great structure, only flaw in my opinion the breakfast should also be supplemented with some savory items, local cheeses and cold cuts, of course with wholemeal bread. Otherwise all good. Recommended.

We stayed at this beautiful Il Gufo B&B, in the old Erto, for a few days in June. Clean rooms, simply but tastefully furnished. Abundant breakfast with the exquisite chocolate cake prepared by the young manager. Never found elsewhere in Italy such care, hospitality, kindness, and willingness to make things happen!

Splendid structure in the historic center of Erto, managed in the best way possible. Quiet place, perfect for a relaxing holiday. We spent a weekend to learn about the history of those places, but we will definitely return to take a break from the city routine. Highly recommended.

The Owl B&B is very beautiful, well-kept, tidy, and clean. Derived from old rural houses, it exudes familiarity and coexistence, an ideal place to recharge your batteries and visit the places of the Vajont, everything stopped on that tragic night. The manager is a very helpful and friendly young guy, guardian of the stories and events that have marked the Vajont valley, but also the neighboring villages. Definitely to come back, thank you Karim!
