Mamma Loretta, together with dad Maurizio and children Chiara, Elisa, and Michele, are delighted to welcome guests into their home and are happy to share their passion for skiing, trekking, and biking.
The house has private parking and a secure storage room where guests can leave bicycles, skis, and other necessary items for their stay. In case of need, guests can also use the available equipment for minor repairs. Bike enthusiasts are provided with a portion of the garage for overnight motorcycle parking.
The breakfast menu and schedule will be arranged upon arrival. During the summer, breakfast can be served outside under the portico, while in winter it is served in the tavern.
Respect for the environment and energy saving were central themes in the design of the house. The building is equipped with a photovoltaic system, wall-mounted radiant heating, central vacuum, rainwater recovery, and home automation.
The building is located in a quiet and central position in relation to many places of interest in Carnia. Just to give you an idea, it is only 25 minutes from the ski slopes of Zoncolan, 5 minutes from Tolmezzo and the hospital, 5 minutes from the archaeological excavations of Zuglio, 8 minutes from the Terme di Arta, 20 minutes from Lake dei Tre Comuni, and 20 minutes from the Great War Museum in Timau.
The recent construction of a cycle path allows walkers and cyclists to reach many places in Carnia safely and peacefully. Furthermore, upon reservation, Maurizio will be delighted to accompany guests in discovering the fantastic mountain bike trails traced along the Carnic Alps, crossing pristine landscapes with breathtaking views. Possibility of on-site rental of 2 e-bikes.

Hi, I’m Loretta and I manage my B&B “Da mamma Lo”.
After a long meditation I decided to give up my job, to fully concentrate on my family.
This has taken me something, but at the same time has given me lots of satisfactions.
I am the mum of Chiara, Elisa and Michele, as well as Maurizio’s wife.
We are an excellent team, as we perform a lot of activities together.
I’m a mum fully involved in my family, particularly in the education of my children, where I try to teach them the basic principles for a healthy and trouble free life, faraway from laziness and bad habits which characterize new generations, where most think to have all, but in the end have nothing.
I trust sports are an efficient help in growing up children, because since the beginning they teach the respect of rules, competitors and to accept scarifies if you want to reach your targets.
This is the reason why we all practice ski, mountain bike and trekking.
Kitchen-garden is my passion. I like to sow, take care of my plants and then harvest them, as I am aware I’ll bring onto my table healthy and genuine products, which are not contaminated by any chemical fertilizer.
My hobby is also creating handicrafts, using very simple fabrics, that I then sell at Christmas markets.

We stayed for a short time, unfortunately, I gave high scores because they are deserved. Excellent base for exploring the Carnia region, in 45 minutes you can reach San Daniele del Friuli, Sauris, and Zoncolan. In 60 minutes you can head back to the plain or further north. The house is very new, super comfortable, and with Wi-Fi. Two rooms with dedicated services. The bathrooms are ultra-modern and comfortable. Free parking. On foot, you can reach a great place for dinner, and for the more adventurous, even Tolmezzo. Da Mamma Lo is fantastic, precise, and the perfect breakfast to start the day. If you are MTB enthusiasts, ask the husband for the best itineraries to climb Zoncolan.

Truly beautiful, we were welcomed by "Da Mamma Lo" with kindness and a smile. Then, at a later time, we got to know his family, who were also kind and cute. Staying at 'Da Mamma Lo' was a pleasant experience. From the first contacts, you can sense the family atmosphere that characterizes the Bed and Breakfast. Hospitable and discreet, Loretta and her family advised us on routes and points of interest in the area during the pleasant evening chats. The structure is new and well-kept, the room and bathroom are spacious and spotlessly clean. The house is located in an optimal position to visit Carnia, traveling on quiet roads ideal for motorbikes or bicycles. A sincere and genuine welcome that reminded us of the Irish Bed and Breakfasts. I stayed here with a friend on the occasion of the pumpkin festival in Venzone. We had a great time: the B&B is brand new, located among the Carnia mountains, in a quiet area waiting to be explored. It is very close to Tolmezzo and other tourist destinations. The rooms are perfectly clean and furnished with great taste. The whole family is warm and helpful; breakfast is plentiful and made with homemade products by the lady. The apple cake was delicious. I can't wait to go back!

What can I say, it had been 28 years since I last visited Carnia. The gathering of the Alpine troops in Paluzza was an opportunity that not only brought me back to the places of my 20s, but also introduced me to a wonderful family. I must compliment Loretta and Maurizio because managing a business and at the same time a wonderful family like theirs is not easy. I must say that the facility, cleanliness, and service are truly top-notch, so I plan to come back, maybe to spend a longer period. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed for two days in this B&B and I must say that we felt very well, welcomed and pampered like in a family. We shared thoughts and principles, both moral and sports, which are rare in young families. We wish them all the best, especially to their three very good children.
