Located halfway between the Carso and the sea, in Trieste, surrounded by a lush garden.
For those who want to sleep among hydrangeas, lilies of the valley, and magnolias, there is the B&B "Casa Dodic". Delicious breakfasts with typical Triestine pastries, welcoming and genuine hospitality, all in the name of good taste and tranquility. The parking area is spacious, and the view of the city is unique.
We speak Italian, English, Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, and Portuguese. We have two double rooms for single use and one triple room. The rooms are new and classified as "superior".
Each room has its own entrance and private bathroom, and is equipped with air conditioning. It is ideal as a stopover for those staying in Istria or Dalmatia.
Breakfast is served on a large veranda or in the garden. Smoking is allowed in the garden.
The B&B's location is central to the New University, which can be reached in two minutes by bus or car. Cattinara Hospital is four minutes away, as well as the Research Area and Synchrotron. The Police School of S. Giovanni is two minutes away, the borders are 10km away, and the highway access is 2km away.
"Casa Dodic" is the house where the Dodic family has run the "Trattoria Dodic" for over a hundred years; now the same family manages the B&B, offering their experience and infinite historical and tourist information about Trieste, Slovenia, Istria, and the rest of Croatia to the guests.
Those arriving by train or plane (via the Ronchi-Trieste shuttle bus) will find bus lines 51 and 51/ stopping in front of our B&B after a ten-minute journey. Motorcyclists can park inside the property.
Radio amateurs, cooking enthusiasts (with typical Triestine and Balkan recipes), vintage motorcycle and car enthusiasts, and shabby style lovers will find opportunities to converse with the owners on these topics. It is also great for those who need to park vans or even trucks, free of charge, in the spacious parking area.

Truly, it was a nice experience. I met a wonderful person, Mr. Dodic, who enlightened me about the history of Trieste. He also recommended me on the bars and places to go, better than Google.

Everything beautiful, interesting and pleasant chat with the manager, after a few minutes you feel perfectly at ease. Surely, if I come back to those parts, I will gladly repeat this experience. The nine rating for breakfast is not because it wasn't good and genuine, but only because I am used to a savory breakfast. On this occasion, I send a warm greeting... goodbye.

The excellent location to visit Trieste is slightly outside the center, but with convenient parking and buses. The pleasant and kind welcome from the owners is available to provide useful information for visiting Trieste and the area. The B&B is clean. Breakfast is plentiful, with homemade pastries and jam.

Although not in the center, it is easy to reach the parking lots and the beautiful square. The area is quiet with parking in front of the Casa Dodic. Excellent manager. Rating more than 10.

Very kind and super welcoming owners, always ready to give advice on how to visit Trieste and its surroundings at best. Great location, parking for cars and bus stop in front of the B&B. Excellent and abundant breakfast, with homemade cakes by Mrs. Viviana. Spacious and very clean rooms (only downside not very comfortable mattress).

Located outside the center of Trieste, Casa Dodic is well served by the bus: the stop is right in front! Spacious and very comfortable room, as well as the bathroom. Super breakfast with homemade products and friendly owners, always ready to advise you during your stay. Beautiful experience.

Top hospitality, cleanliness, kindness, availability for every request. Francesco and Viviana are the managers of this small bed and breakfast with one of the most beautiful views over the Gulf of Trieste. Very spacious and comfortable triple room, with everything you need. Truly royal breakfast with typical sweets and homemade jam, crepes cooked on the spot, warm toasted bread, fresh fruit, etc. What else to say... ? Really a pleasant stay, even if short.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely accommodation with another couple. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, large bathroom and shower. Excellent cleanliness and abundant breakfast with homemade cakes and jams. We also tried a strudel with phyllo pastry made by Viviana, really delicious. The owners were very helpful in giving advice on places to visit, with whom we also had the opportunity to learn more about the history of Trieste. Highly recommended B&B!

I highly recommend Casa Dodic. Francesco and Viviana were wonderful hosts. I very much enjoyed my stay, including the very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and facilities and the excellent and very full breakfast, including Viviana's delicious home made cakes and biscuits. Francesco is very knowledgeable about the history, culture and traditions of Trieste city and region and very generously makes his knowledge and his extensive library of books on Trieste available to guests. For those without a car, the bus stops to and from the city centre are directly outside the property. Thanks very much, Francesco and Viviana, for a most memorable and enjoyable stay!

Absolutely amazing experience of staying at Casa Dodic, the rooms are clean, comfortable and very spacious, location outside the city but very conveniently connected by regular public transport. What makes the stay really special is the warm heartedness of the hosts...they are very helpful, kind and generous. An absolutely fantastic find: this former trattoria (founded over 100 years ago by our host's grandfather) is located between Trieste and Basovizza, the bus stop is right outside. There is a view over the city and the sea from the parking lot. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, very well-maintained and equipped with a kettle for making tea or coffee, the breakfast room is cozy with a collection of old radios, handicrafts by the hostess, and a sofa. The outdoor area with trees, flowerpots, a Hollywood swing, and sun loungers invites you to linger, and you can also leaf through one of the many books about the area available in the breakfast room. The breakfast is plentiful, in addition to toast, scrambled eggs with bacon or boiled eggs, cold cuts and cheese, there is fresh fruit (grapes from their own garden), homemade jams by the hostess, savory pastries, and delicious cakes (cream slices! Apple strudel! Yogurt tarts!), homemade pickled gherkins, juice, yogurt, etc.; all lovingly prepared and served by the B&B's two operators, Francesco and Viviana. There are also wonderful conversations: Francesco has a comprehensive knowledge of the region's history and other topics. It was also very pleasant to have the option to wash and iron clothes, Viviana provided us with bus tickets (which are otherwise only available at tobacconists and not on the bus) and Francesco picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. All in all, it felt more like a stay with good friends. We really enjoyed our time there, a big thank you!

Great experience, friendly and cordial managers, clean and large room, excellent breakfast. The only flaw of the structure is the location far from the city center but there is a bus stop right in front that allows you to move comfortably by public transport. highly recommended.

Very courteous and helpful managers, ready to support and advise. Large and well-equipped room. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, very clean and equipped with everything you need. Casa Dodic is strategically located and allows you to easily reach various destinations if you have a car. Strategic location to visit Trieste without using a car. Bus stop right in front. But for good walkers it's even possible to reach the center on foot (3, 5 km), all downhill, return with challenging climb. Very welcoming hosts and excellent homemade breakfast.

We stayed for three nights, we had a great time, strategic location, easy to reach the city by bus. Mr. Francesco is a friendly person, he chats very willingly, he gave us all the information about the city and recommended where to eat, and where to say he was absolutely right, Mrs. Viviana prepares excellent pastries for breakfast. The Dodic family are wonderful hosts who do everything to offer guests the best possible stay in Trieste. They provide tips for visits in the area and thanks to an incredible knowledge of the city's history, one gains a better insight. Additionally, right in front of the house is the bus stop. We didn't need a car. So, anytime again!

Good morning, we stayed at Casa Dodic in June. Excellent structure and very spacious and spotlessly clean room. The owners are very kind and offer a super breakfast with homemade jams and cakes! They also provided us with a map of Trieste and useful information to visit the city. I recommend it to everyone and also an excellent value for money. We will definitely come back.

We stayed 2 nights at Casa Dodic and we had a great time, both for the room (spacious, comfortable, clean), for the outdoor space (always useful when traveling with a dog), for the breakfast (abundant, delicious cakes prepared by Mrs. Viviana), for the hospitality (the owners are really courteous and nice). We felt 'at home'; we already plan to come back here on the next occasion.

The hosts are unique! Courteous, friendly, a super breakfast is prepared and served with love. The accommodation is nicely decorated, very functional and very clean. The Wi-Fi works perfectly. Almost unimaginable at this price!

Really great accommodation. The accommodation is spacious and clean. Towels are provided, even soap and shampoo. The bed is made every day, and the bin is emptied. The family managing it is super friendly and nice. Parking available. I could park my motorcycle in front of my accommodation. Bus stop right outside the door. A small drawback: the accommodation is located on a road where the speed limit is supposed to be 50km/h. Unfortunately, no road user respects this. My conclusion: Highly recommended.

I coniugi Viviana e Francesco sono due gestore molto attenti e scrupolosi. Mettono i clienti il più possibile a loro agio. La struttura è attrezzata con tutto il necessario per una vacanza..dal climatizzatore al televisore, asciugacapelli, e vari prodotti per la doccia. La pulizia è eccellente come pure la colazione con prodotti freschi fatti dalla signore Viviana. Il signor Francesco è sempre disponibile per dare consigli su come muoversi nella zona Trieste Slovenia. La posizione della struttura è in collina quindi le serate sono fresche, giusto per riposare! Quindi noi possiamo solo consigliare un soggiorno a Casa Dodic. Lidia & Pasquale. Ritorneremo senz'altro.

Consiglio a tutti questa struttura per l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, la pulizia, la gentilezza dei gestori.
Camere spaziosissime e molto pulite, colazione con marmellate fatte in casa e proprietari che molto cordialmente dispensano consigli.
La struttura è leggermente fuori dal centro, ma raggiungibile comodamente in pochi minuti e con ampio parcheggio davanti.

Ottima struttura. Posta in posizione abbastanza strategica per raggiungere le vie di maggiore comunicazione. Camere molto pulite e abbastanza spaziose (siamo giunti nei giorni di maggiore calura e l'aria condizionata, cui erano dotate le nostre stanze, è risultata utilissima, rendendo maggiormente confortevole il nostro soggiorno). Colazione molto buona (con molti prodotti fatti in casa) e abbondante, servita in una bellissima location. Proprietari molto gentili e disponibilissimi a fornire ogni indicazione che fosse utile per rendere ottimali le nostre escursioni. Struttura assolutamente da consigliare. Abbiamo soggiornato solo 1 notte, tutto perfetto sia per la cordialità e gentilezza del gestore e sia per la struttura bella, pulita.
Colazione ottima e abbondante in particolare le torte e le marmellate fatte in casa dalla Signora.
Posizione ottimale, poco fuori dal centro e con fermata autobus sotto casa che porta direttamente in centro.

La struttura si trova in un posto molto comodo, essendo molto vicina alla fermata della corriera e dando sulla strada (è comunque isolata rispetto al traffico e alle auto). La pulizia è impeccabile, la casa è molto bella e i gestori sono molto cordiali e disponibili. La colazione è generosa e vanta anche delizie casalinghe.

Abbiamo volutamente scelto questo posto proprio per la sua posizione a 10 minuti fuori dal centro di Trieste per non avere il problema di parcheggio auto che in centro è molto problematico e oneroso. La posizione è ottima per gli spostamenti verso il confine ed altre mete. Da qui si vede un bel panorama e la strada vicina non è rumorosa. Il B&B è molto accogliente e pulito. camere in stile moderno che offrono tutti i comfort. La sala colazione è una bellissima veranda vetrata arredata tipicamente bene e dove abbiamo gustato ottime colazioni abbondanti. I gestori sono molto ospitali e gentili e sanno consigliare nel migliore dei modi. ci hanno anche prestato molto materiale informativo da leggere. Per visitare la città di giorno abbiamo utilizzato il bus che in 10 minuti arriva in centro e la fermata è proprio davanti a casa. Siamo stati molto bene e lo consigliamo vivamente. Grazie di cuore.

Struttura situata a circa 5 km dal centro di Trieste sulla strada che porta a Basovizza, gestita da una coppia molto affabile e cortese che ti fa sentire come a casa propria. Stanza molto spaziosa arredata sobriamente e con gusto, pulizia impeccabile e colazione abbondante e con alcuni prodotti fatti in casa dalla signora. Mi sento di consigliarla, ci siamo trovati benissimo e sicuramente se torneremo a Trieste sarà un piacere soggiornarvi nuovamente.

Soggiornato con altre due coppie di amici. Posizione ideale per visitare Trieste e dintorni lontani dal caos della città, che si raggiunge comunque in pochissimo. Camere molto spaziose, anche il bagno è molto grande, tutto pulito a curato nei particolari, ambiente molto accogliente e confortevole. La colazione molto buona e abbondante accompagnata da una piacevole conversazione con i proprietari della struttura che sono disponibilissimi a dare informazioni del luogo e raccontare anche aneddoti del passato. Io, mio marito e mia figlia abbiamo passato una notte in questo bellissimo B&B scovato su internet: ci siamo trovati benissimo! Io e mia moglie dobbiamo ringraziare Francesco e Viviana per la loro squisita ospitalità. Siamo stati assolutamente coccolati grazie alla loro cortesia e disponibilità nel offrire un servizio davvero ottimo.
La struttura è di recentissima costruzione, dispongono di tre ampie camere arredate in modo semplice e carino. inoltre la collocazione è piuttosto strategica in quanto facilmente raggiungibile dall'autostrada e comoda per il centro. Assolutamente consigliato.

Di passaggio per la Croazia, decidiamo di fermarci a Trieste per una notte in questo B&B. Siamo rimasti 8 giorni! Ottima accoglienza e disponibilità dei proprietari, due persone splendide e cordiali che ci hanno accolto e fatto sentire a “casa”.
Ambiente curatissimo ed estremamente pulito, ottime colazioni e posizione panoramica favolosa con vista sul mare; altresì, a 5 minuti dal centro.
Franz e Vivi, i proprietari, oltre ad essere cortesi, sono ottimi “navigatori” e ci hanno guidato alla scoperta di una città che non conoscevamo e che ci ha affascinato molto, soprattutto vista attraverso i racconti storici di Franz, tanto che in Croazia non ci siamo andati.
Grazie Franz e Vivi, ci rivedremo presto
