Description

The B&B Borgo Palazzo Steffaneo is located in the barchessa of Palazzo Steffaneo.

The ancient dwelling, rich in art and tradition, is situated in the Friulian countryside, just a few minutes away from the most interesting historical, cultural, and gastronomic places in Friuli such as Aquileia, Grado, Palmanova, Cividale, Collio, and the Italo-Slovenian Karst, among others.

In the past, this structure, with its ceramics "fabbrichetta" and its agricultural company, was a center of the economic life of the territory, as well as a place of aggregation during important events for the life of the town.

Recently renovated, it welcomes its guests in the comfort and magic of places full of stories to tell. The rooms are particularly suggestive, and the large internal garden is available to guests.

Internal parking and independent entrance are available.

In addition to the ambiance, the quality of breakfast is also an important aspect of our hospitality. We prioritize typical products from our region: traditional Austro-Hungarian desserts such as strudel, rustic treats from the Natisone valleys like gubana and strucchi, simple pies or genuine homemade jams. For those who prefer a savory breakfast, we offer speck, Lovison salami, and local cheeses such as latteria and montasio. Upon request, we also serve eggs: in an omelet or boiled. And then..seasonal fruits, yogurt, and more. If anyone has particular requirements, please let us know at the time of booking.

I love this place so much because I was born here and I have lived most of my life here, but also because this place is full of history, art, and tradition. Opening our home to travelers for me not only means sharing the history of Palazzo Steffaneo but also introducing to travelers an authentic piece of our Friuli.

Hospitality and relationship with people have always been very important in our family. In the past, our home was a center of economy and aggregation with many productive activities that involved the surrounding territory. Today, I try to continue this tradition by opening the doors to a wider audience.

Meeting so many people and so diverse enriches, excites, and intrigues me.

We spent three wonderful days in the lovingly renovated rooms of the historic Palazzo. Valentina, the lovely hostess, provided us with interesting information about the building, the surroundings, and excursion possibilities. She also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants etc. nearby. For breakfast, we were provided with everything our heart desired. We sincerely thank you for the hospitality and are happy to give a 100% recommendation for Palazzo Steffaneo!

We have had the most wonderful experience during our stay at the Borgo Palazzo Steffaneo B&B. My husband and I traveled with our two Shih Tzu dogs and we stayed for five days. The room is big, clean, and really well furnished. Breakfast is freshly prepared by the host based on what we want to eat. The hosts are amazingly friendly and helpful. I totally recommend this place.

A charming, well-kept gem for travelers who love the unique. The owners are very attentive and Valentina is a real "treasure". Great breakfast and lots of interesting information about the history of the house and the region, also in English. We look forward to seeing you again.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast in a portion of a historic building. Recently renovated, a short walk from Palmanova and in a perfect location to visit all of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast but, above all, kindness and availability of the owners, truly delightful people.

Beautiful and quiet location, they have restored a historic building with great attention to all the details. They are positioned in a fairly strategic point to visit Friuli (close to the hills of Collio, Aquileia and Grado, quite close to Trieste and Udine). We booked the Suite, a really large room, super comfortable, very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom. Very pleasant and intimate breakfast room, both sweet and savory breakfast options are offered according to preferences. The owners are very kind and helpful both in recommending places to visit and in suggesting some restaurants to stop at. Thank you so much for the hospitality. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Borgo Palazzo Stefano. The host was very friendly and ready to tell us a lot about the place. She cared for a good breakfast with a big buffet even though we were the only guests on that early spring day. The bedroom and all the surroundings were professionally restored in an old style with all modern comforts. We also enjoyed the open castle day the next morning and history came to life. It's so great that there are people who dedicate themselves to preserving old places for future generations. We will tell our friends about this place. Thank you and all the best to you all!

The two operators were very kind and attentive. They asked several times if everything was okay. Very clean and breakfast more than enough. Located fairly centrally for all activities (great starting point). The accommodation is perfect for people who also seek peace.

Excellent location to visit Friuli, equidistant between the sea, hills, and mountains. A wonderful structure, in an ancient farmhouse in the countryside with clean, tidy rooms, and well-arranged with excellent care. The managers Valentina and Roberto were wonderful and very helpful, truly special people. In the surroundings, it is possible to find places to eat, you mostly need to move by car, but it's the price to pay for the tranquility of the place. Price absolutely fair considering the importance of the structure. Definitely when we return to Friuli, Borgo Palazzo Steffaneo will be our destination!

Everything perfect, spacious and clean rooms, same for the bathrooms, very comfortable bed. The owners are always available to give you advice for every need, even in my case, having had a problem with the car, Roberto accompanied me to the mechanic and stayed with us until it was resolved. I highly recommend staying at Borgo Palazzo Steffaneo.
