Description

The B&B is located in an independent wing of a recently restored old farmhouse in Trieste, in the Roiano area. Guests can enjoy 4 double rooms with attached bathrooms, a spacious fully-equipped kitchen for exclusive use, and the garden. All of this surrounded by greenery and tranquility, yet only a 15-minute walk from the train station and a 20-minute walk from the city's historic center. Close to the sea. In the countryside.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our four nights staying at Alberto's home. We were lucky enough to be there for Alberto's pizza and prosecco night. We walked into the town centre every day, sometimes twice, which took us around 40 minutes each way. There was the option of the bus, which stopped 400 m away at the bottom of the hill, but walking is the best way to explore a new place. We always felt safe, even at night.

Owners were simply wonderful. I was alone with a one-year-old child; unfortunately he had a high fever during the night and they were very kind in helping me with the luggage. Very, very nice towards the child. Comfortable and functional pool, quiet location, good-sized room, varied breakfast.

The hosts are very kind and welcoming,and they allowed us to check in earlier than the scheduled time and to park in the area adjacent to the property which,although not reserved,was free. To reach it you need to go up a ramp that is not very wide. To reach the parking on foot from the property you must exit the garden and walk about 50 meters around a house,re-entering its grounds and going up the ramp. It is not very practical if you have forgotten something in the car. Alternatively,there are public parking areas about 500 meters away. The property is charming,an old farmhouse nicely renovated and furnished. The small pool in the garden provides a pleasant moment of relaxation;there are sofas,sun loungers and deck chairs available,as well as shaded spots. The room was comfortable,with air conditioning(there was only one window with a mosquito net,but both openings had blackout blinds for the night). The bathroom,small and added later,is not suitable for people with reduced mobility,but it was equipped with everything. The shower is practical(one part of the taps was not working,but this did not prevent the shower from functioning). Breakfast,included in the price,was plentiful,but it was necessary to inform in advance what you wanted to eat by booking on a slip of paper. It is possible to order additional breakfast items for a fee. Therefore,only the items booked the day before were served. Breakfast was served in the porch. The garden is charming,with many plants(some not very well cared for) and with the grapevine pergola. The distance from the center can be walked in about half an hour,manageable,but in hot weather the route is completely exposed to the sun and on busy roads. Nearby there is an excellent trattoria for a seafood dinner.

I stayed here with my two children for four nights and we all loved it. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was ideal for my children (if a little cold for me!). The dog Romeo was a fantastic bonus; he was such a sweet-natured and calm dog, always happy to be fussed over and petted. My kids are already asking when we can return!

A favorite for this charming B&B where you feel good. Everything is tastefully furnished and the comfort is complete: the beds, the furniture, refrigerator, air conditioning, bathroom. It also has a small pool that refreshed us well and a pleasant terrace to relax and read a book. Breakfast is served on this same terrace. It is included in the price, but extras such as eggs and cheese can be added. The owners are super nice and welcoming. Perfect for a weekend. Perhaps not suitable for people with reduced mobility, given the number of stairs to access it.

The accommodation is a lovingly renovated 200-year-old farmhouse. It is located in the countryside but still close to the center (10 min by bike). There is a nice little pool with a garden. For breakfast, we could get some extra dishes for €6.00 per person (fried egg, bruschetta, ham, cheese). As the owner also lives here, we also met his whole family with children and grandchildren. Very friendly and family-oriented hosts!

I chose Casa Sconta on the advice of a friend I wanted to visit who lives nearby. The exchanges with Alberto and Roberta were very quick, and they looked for the most suitable solution for me, traveling with my three small children. The B&B is in a quiet neighborhood and very well connected to reach the center of Trieste by public transport. The garden is very pleasant, and the house is authentic, tastefully and simply decorated in respect for the old. We stayed in the terrano room, which is very charming and spacious, with a lovely view and very comfortable bedding. The breakfast is very rich, and the coffee is exceptional. Thank you Alberto and Roberta, we had a very beautiful stay.

This accommodation was excellent: it is located about 20 minutes on foot from the train station in the Roiano district, on a small, quiet street, and about 25 minutes on foot from the port. It is an old renovated farmhouse with a beautiful garden and a shared swimming pool. The room with bathroom was spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The kettle, hairdryer, etc. were all available. The breakfast was very tasty; for a small extra charge, there were eggs with sage, olives, and tomatoes, for example. We would definitely come back! Thank you to Roberta and Alberto.

Beautiful air-conditioned rooms; the hosts were very nice; breakfast was good. Since it is a small establishment, we could always swim in the pool and stay in the garden without crowding. A wonderful country house in the city, with fruit trees, pergola, and a lovely pool. Very quiet, twenty minutes walk from the center. Alberto is an interesting and interested person, he gave us valuable advice on what to do and how to move around the city. It's better to inform the structure if you arrive by car to book the parking.

For an overnight stay before our cruise, we found a small paradise here that left no wishes unfulfilled. Upon request, we were even able to rent a parking space for this one night. Upon arrival, we were allowed to refresh ourselves in the pool and the way to the port was easily manageable in 20 minutes. The original Italian breakfast offered by our hosts in the morning was delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay with Roberta and Alberto very much and can recommend this oasis in the city to others.

Bus stop with two lines to the city close by. Parking option only for very small cars but otherwise it should be difficult to find a spot. Highly individual. We loved it!

The room, almost a suite, was lovingly renovated, the hosts very welcoming and with great tips for the stay, the whole atmosphere simply wonderful. Buses are reachable around the corner and so you are quickly in the center. The additionally booked parking lot right next door is a real help, otherwise you would have real difficulties finding one. Restaurants, bars, etc. are reachable at a short distance, so everything for a successful stay is there. Highly recommended!

A gem you don't expect. Beautiful and particular place, I would say unique in its kind, very welcoming, 20 minutes walk from the historic center. Three hundred meters away there is a bus stop for the center. The owner is very nice, always present and not like those you never see. To recommend.

We stayed in March for 10 days at Alberto and Roberta's CASA SCONTA. We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The 'Terrano' apartment was well-equipped and quiet. Two bus lines took us from a nearby bus stop to the center and to other bus lines that ran in the area. Several useful supermarkets, bars, and restaurants were within walking distance. We recommend it and would come back ourselves.

We are absolutely thrilled. The location is very quiet, but not isolated. Bus stop 3 minutes away. The house has been renovated with great attention to detail. We were welcomed by Roberto and Roberta as if we had known each other forever. Breakfast on the terrace was always a fantastic start to the day. For us one of the best B&Bs. We will come back.

We spent a week here in May 2023 and really enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to the bus service that provides easy access to the City Centre and beaches. It is a unique home full of character and Roberta and Alberto (as well as the dog Romeo) are wonderful hosts. Highly recommend!

We stayed with the children (5/7) for 4 days at Roberta and Alberto's place. The house, the garden, and the hosts are very charming and lovely. The children had a lot of fun in the pool. The location is simply optimal. At night it is very quiet, a bus stop and supermarket are reachable in 2-3 minutes on foot. By bus, you can reach the city center in about 10 minutes. The parking space for our car was in the immediate neighborhood on a secure private property. The house dog is very child-friendly. Our room was equipped with a bathtub, shower, toilet, air conditioning, and kitchenette. Wi-Fi is available in and around the house.

The house is located in a neighborhood not far from the center, which can be reached by very punctual and frequent buses in 5 minutes. Even though the neighborhood is not very beautiful at first sight, the B&B Alla Casa Sconta is a magnificent surprise! A stunning and well-kept garden, with a pool (which unfortunately due to the weather we couldn't try), armchairs, benches, and flowers. Upon arrival, the landlady welcomed us wonderfully, and she has always been perfect, kind, helpful but never intrusive! There is a small kitchen with a microwave and a mini-fridge always open, and you immediately feel at home, the furnishings are a gem, everything has been restored to perfection, and at the same time, there is everything you need for an extra comfortable stay (small fridge in the room, kettle with tea and coffee set). Finally, a plentiful breakfast with no particular time restrictions. Last note, we had some inconvenience with the check-in time and the owner was extremely available to meet our needs... what can I say, we hope to come back and we recommend everyone to stay here!

The structure is located near the station and, with a walk of about 2.5 km, we arrive directly at Piazza Unità d'Italia. For the lazier ones, there is the bus terminal nearby. The owners Alberto and Roberta are truly exquisite people, accompanied by the faithful Romeo (the dog) always open to cuddles. Excellent experience, to be repeated in the future.

I generally take a bit of time to choose the accommodation where to stay, in the case of B&B Alla Casa Sconta it was not so: I had no doubts that the structure could satisfy my tastes. A quiet place just a few steps from the Center of Trieste and from SISSA, the institute where I worked. A beautiful ancient house renovated with great care, also suitable for a summer stay having a garden with a pool. What made the stay even more pleasant and interesting was the knowledge and company of Alberto and his wife who were invaluable at all times, making me feel truly at home.

The cleanliness is impeccable and the setting is magnificent. The garden and pool are definitely a great plus if you have children.
