Description

The Bed and Breakfast “Al Ponterosso” is located in a strategic central area of the town, at the hearth of the famous “Borgo teresiano” and looks onto the “Ponterosso” Square in a central shopping area with excellent public transport access (bus stops are very close to the B&B).

The B&B can be your headquarter for your explorations in a fascinating and evocative landscape where you will discover the culture, traditions and sights of some of the most beautiful Italian towns. Every part of Trieste has churches, monuments, museums and of course a rich gastronomic tradition that offers a large range of wine and food specialties for your delectation.

Our modern B&B with all comfort offers bedrooms with private bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, towels, soap, shampoo, etc.

If you arrive in Trieste by train you can walk to the B&B (around 10 minutes) or take a bus (line 30) just in front of the railway station and then get off at the third stop: you will find the B&B on the corner of Ponterosso Square.

If arriving by car you can find a free parking space in the street under the B&B. Otherwise we will be glad to help you with finding it in the vicinity. As an alternative you can leave your car in the paid parking area of Ponterosso Square (free parking from 8 pm until 8 am) or in the parking area of “Molo IV” at favorable rates (10 euro every 24 hours).

We booked in B&B Al Ponterosso because of its convenient location in the centre of Trieste not far from Centrale rail station. The B&B has just two rooms which suited us and our adult daughter. It's very comfortable and remarkably quiet given its central location. The breakfast is indeed abundant and Andrea and Princy are very friendly and helpful hosts. The only thing to note is that given the age of the building there is no lift although being on the first floor there aren't too many steps.

This B&B is in an amazing, perfect location on the Canal Grande in Trieste, in a beautiful quiet well-maintained building that is just minutes away from the water and many good nearby restaurants. It is also just a short 10-minute walk to both the bus and train stations, and 7 minutes in the other direction to the main Piazza Unità d'Italia. We had the "Monica" room (with bath), which was very clean and pretty. Andrea was a super nice and welcoming host, and we would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Trieste.

B&B located in the heart of Trieste in the Teresiano district in Piazza Ponterosso, from which it takes its name. The owners are exquisite, helpful, and friendly people. The breakfast is varied and abundant, with homemade cakes, served in the room of their house. Being in the center, there is no assigned parking for them. We left the car in a garage a few meters away from the B&B. The cost is €10 during the day and €7 at night, but it remains closed from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. Otherwise, it is possible to park at pier 4 or in the blue lines, it's free at night. Although some improvements could be made inside the room, the rating is definitely 5 out of 5!

A cozy room in the heart of the historic center with all the comforts! The bathroom is located outside the room, but it is not bothersome, as it is for the exclusive use of the guest. Very close to the audacious pier and Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, as well as numerous local and typical restaurants. Miramare Castle and the Giant Cave are about 20 minutes by car. The area is quiet despite the bars below, closed windows eliminate any noise. The owners are very kind and made us feel comfortable. Everything perfect, we recommend it!

The accommodation was a dream. Very central, right on Piazza Ponto Rosso. The only drawback: there are no parking spaces directly at the accommodation. We parked near the main train station. The rooms are spacious and individually and tastefully furnished. Not a standard hotel room. Breakfast in the hosts' living room is rich and varied. The charm is the family atmosphere at the accommodation. However, the host is not very reliable. Even though we had emailed the approximate arrival time, no one was there at first.

I stayed at the B&B Al Ponterosso for 5 nights with part of my family. Since the arrival, the warm and respectful welcome from the hosts was greatly appreciated. The subsequent attentive courteous availability, the great humanity shown to make us always feel comfortable, made our stay excellent. I won't add anything else, everything magnificent, furnishings, cleanliness, found comfort, location, etc. It is really worth staying there. Best wishes.

B&B Al Ponterosso is really excellent, located in the city center, easily reachable from the station, a few steps away from the main points of interest. The hosts are very friendly and nice, very helpful. The breakfast is excellent and abundant. Excellent value for money. If I return to Trieste, I will definitely turn to them again.

Truly excellent service: my girlfriend and I stayed at this B&B Al Ponterosso last week and we could appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of the owners, the care and cleanliness of the premises. I would like to point out, for example, some small details that make the difference: the owner, Prinzi, welcomed us with freshly picked white roses laid on Bassetti towels, coffee offered on a silver tray, and a final gift when we said goodbye! The owner accompanied me in the evening to help me find free parking. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Truly top-notch structure!

Perfect welcome. The environment is quiet and comfortable, pleasant for the location, moreover not far from the station and a stone's throw from the historic center. The owners are very welcoming and try to meet every need. I recommend it to people on vacation but also very much to people who go for study or work.

My wife and I stayed for five nights at the B&B Al Ponterosso. The judgment can only be positive for a number of reasons: kindness of the owners (Andrea and Prinzi), excellent location of the property (on the Grand Canal, that is in the historic center of the city), excellent and abundant breakfast, cleanliness. If my wife and I - who are no longer very young and when we travel we always refer to B&Bs - spent an unforgettable holiday in Trieste, much credit goes to Andrea and Prinzi.
