Description

The Bed & Breakfast "Al Castello" is located in the very heart of Gorizia, just on the slope of the Medieval Castle.

The Bed & Breakfast is surrounded by nature and by the silence of the ancient parks. The location is excellent because it enables you to easily reach on foot every corner of the city, the main museums, the universitary centres, the shops, the tipical restaurants and the Slovenian border.

It is also possible to go in a few minutes by car and visit the wonderful hills of the Collio Goriziano with their well-known Wine vaults.

The room are large and very comfortable and have a private bathroom. There is also the possibility of an indipendent kitchen.

Relaxing stop in Gorizia! We were on our way to the Catez thermal baths and decided to make a stop in Gorizia. The B&B we chose was a real find! Located in the historic center, right on the castle road, it is easy to reach and offers a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. The host was very kind and welcoming; she gave us all the information we needed to visit the city and made us feel at home. The B&B is clean, comfortable and well maintained, a true refuge in the city. One tip: if you also plan to have dinner in Gorizia, remember to book in advance, otherwise you may not find a table! Other than that, I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet and welcoming place in the heart of Gorizia. It's really worth it!

B&B in an excellent location, very close to Gorizia Castle, with free parking available on the premises. Very nice property in a panoramic location. Room on the top floor, spacious and with a private terrace. Staff very kind and helpful. Breakfast adequate. I would gladly return. Only drawback: although the bathroom was very large, there was no bidet.

Charming location, small tastefully furnished structure, very quiet and peaceful area. Spacious and clean rooms. Spartan breakfast but nothing is missing and still adequate for the price, well-equipped kitchen and the possibility to eat on the terrace with a view of the castle. Very kind and warm welcome, excellent interaction via email with the owner. Great value for money.

My family and I stayed one night in the mini apartment. Clean and comfortable, two rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Linen provided. Outdoor table with the possibility to eat in the garden. Quiet and peaceful. Close to the castle. Courteous and helpful owners. An excellent solution for visiting Gorizia. Recommended.

The structure is located in an excellent central position. The managers were courteous and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and nothing is missing. If I really have to find a flaw, it is about breakfast, which is a bit poor and lacks savory options. Perhaps an egg would have helped. Anyway, everything was great, even for getting there by car.

The structure is a bit dated inside. The bathrooms need to be renovated. We had booked with air conditioning, but upon arrival there was a replacement and we had two rooms, one of which did not have air conditioning. Unfortunately, it was too hot for the end of August. The owner is very kind and nice. Overall, for one night it was fine.

Comfortable and spacious rooms. The owners are very kind and helpful. The structure is easily accessible and in a very convenient location. Negative points are the breakfast and the bathroom service. During our stay, we practically prepared the breakfast ourselves with what was available in the kitchen, packaged croissants that were not restocked the following day; unfortunately, we did not find the lady in charge of breakfast in the dining room on either of the two mornings of our stay. The sink in the bathroom was not very clean; there was no welcome kit (meant as single-dose shampoo and shower gel) but only hand soap (perhaps I misunderstood). Overall, we rested very well and the stay was still pleasant.

The owner was welcoming and assigned us a large, charming and clean apartment. He also provided us with the names of some restaurants where to have dinner. Central location right below the Castle of Gorizia. I recommend it.
