The agriturismo Riva Mondina is immersed in nature, isolated from urban context, at the edge of the Grado lagoon on the Tiel river, in a strategic position between the beaches of Grado and the ancient city of Aquileia, which can also be reached by bicycles made available to guests.

The property, dating back to the 30s and originally used as a guard house for the adjacent hydroelectric power plant, has just been restored with great attention to detail while maintaining its charm.

Guests looking for relaxation can indulge in observing numerous resident and migratory wildlife from nearby protected areas (Averto, val Cavanata, isola della Cona), engage in amateur sports fishing, visit the organic farm and horse breeding, or simply sunbathe while reading a good book in a corner of our garden. More active travelers can experience the local cuisine thanks to various food and wine itineraries "on land and sea", get lost in cultural events and exhibitions in various centers of the region, spend relaxing days on the beaches or go on bike or boat excursions.

The structure consists of four very bright rooms on the first floor with private bathroom, free wifi, air-conditioned rooms, hairdryer and courtesy set.

Riva Mondina offers its guests internal parking, a large garden with sun loungers and a terrace with tables and chairs under the shade of the gazebo.

Smoking is prohibited inside the structure.

Giuliano and I have been living and working in these historically rich lands for over 25 years, where our passions for horses, the sea, and organic farming have found their ideal place. Three years ago, during a walk around our property, we noticed that the old building adjacent to the Tiel-Mondina River was for sale, and it seemed like a great opportunity to realize our agro-tourism project! We went through a rather busy period of work, but it was a passion for us, and we tried to express our personality to obtain a result that represented us while respecting the history and type of the house. In addition to hospitality, we would like to share our passions with our guests, guiding them to discover the territory we love.

We are in a territory with diverse souls: a countryside overlooking the Venetian lagoon, with excellent ventilated climate. Located on one of the various bike paths of Grado, we are an excellent base to explore the entire region, 6 km from Aquileia, 7 km from Grado, 20 km from Palmanova, 25 km from Gorizia and 30 km from Trieste. There are several natural areas and opportunities for lagoon excursions, historical and artistic themed visits around us. *Distances as the crow flies.

We were warmly welcomed and received very good tips for outings and dining every day. The atmosphere was family-like. The house has 4 rooms and is located in a very quiet area. The rooms are tastefully decorated and cleaned daily. Bicycles are available. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. We lacked nothing. We spent very nice and relaxing days there. Despite language barriers, we were able to communicate easily with the help of Google Translator. A big compliment and thank you to the owner.

The hosts were very friendly, they had new excursion tips and restaurant recommendations for us every day. The location is extremely quiet, which we wanted! The only thing we missed was a bridge over the canal to get to Grado faster by bike and not have to take a 10 km detour.

Holiday and destination decided almost at the last minute, but we couldn't have made a better choice. A week whose good morning was given by the very cordial Mara for breakfast, it was pleasant to get to know this reality among the green and the silence of the Friulian countryside. Beautifully and simply decorated B&B combines the charm of the old with all the modern conveniences. Mara and Giuliano are absolutely delightful and the perfect hosts, providing guests with as much assistance and advice as they need while giving them plenty of space to discover the fascinating region on their own. Before opening their B&B, they owned and operated an equestrian school. An outstanding location for birders and cyclists, surrounded by extensive bike paths, wetlands, farmland, and walkable or bikable nature sanctuaries with blinds (osservatori) for watching the wildlife. The best way to find the place is to enter "Agriturismo Riva Mondina" into Google Maps (the app is a little confused by the mailing address). We stayed for three nights and were sad to leave.

We stayed at this beautiful property, my husband and I, we were very satisfied with both the place and Mara, very helpful and welcoming, with whom we had some wonderful conversations. The room was very beautiful, like the whole structure, very clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was very good quality, Mara tried to meet our needs by proposing excellent varied breakfasts. To make some notes, I would say it would be useful to have a kettle in the room and be able to use the kitchen or a microwave, as the property is in the middle of the countryside (wonderful) and at least 6 km from the first restaurant, for us who stayed for three nights and not being very young anymore, maybe we would have taken advantage of being able to have our dinner at the property, having said that we were very satisfied with our stay and recommend this B&B because it is really worth spending time in nature, in total silence next to a working 1936 pump house, thanks to Mara for all the explanations she gave us about the area. We really liked this region very much, it has a lot to offer and can be visited in tranquility away from the usual overcrowded destinations. Thank you Laura and Alberto.

We had the pleasure of spending a night in this B&B and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. Mara, the owner, is a proactive, vital woman with a lot of determination who not only makes you feel pampered and comfortable but also has many beauties to tell about the history of the place she chose to revive. All this can be seen concretely before your eyes, as the structure is truly beautiful, internally renovated with an excellent stylistic choice. The breakfast was pleasant and everything was of excellent quality. We were happy to support a reality in our territory like this and if there will be an opportunity, we will do it again. Excellent value for money and in line with what is offered.
