Description

Affittacamere Iris is the ideal spot for people visiting Trieste to study, work or for tourism. It is set in the city centre, with 6 big rooms with private bathroom (with hair-dryer and courtesy kit) and air conditioning.

In the morning a daily prepared breakfast and the hopitality of the owners will make you begin the day in the best possible way!
Affittacamere Iris is at a five minutes walk distance from the pedestrian area, full of history, monuments, churches. In less than 10 minutes you'll arrive in Piazza Unità, the heart of the town. For people willing to see the neighbourhood (Castello di Miramare, Grotta Gigante, Risiera di San Sabba and more), Affittacamere Iris is nearby the main bus stops located in Piazza Oberdan and Piazza della Libertà.

Affittacamere Iris is 200m far from the train and bus stations. If you arrive by car you can park in the streets near the Affittacamere (1 euro/h from 8am to 8pm) or at Molo IV (10 euros/24h, free in the festive days) or in the garage called Silos (10 euros/24h festive days included).

We will be pleased to host you!

Great experience. I recommend it to anyone making a short stop in Trieste. Convenient enough; the rooms are clean, and the bed and bathroom are comfortable. Excellent location. In a few minutes you can reach the train station, as well as the historic center and the main attractions. Very kind staff. The young man at reception was kind and friendly; he gave me many useful tips on tours to take in and around the city and also many interesting historical insights, even better than the guide with whom I later visited the city 😃.

My friends and I rented two apartments at Affittacamere Iris for a two-night stay in lovely Trieste. Our host was welcoming and helpful, and it was in an excellent location. Note that it is on an upstairs floor in a mixed-use building. We arrived by train and left by ferry, and we were only a short walk from the ferry terminal. It was also very convenient to the historic heart of the city. The apartments were spacious and comfortable, with one notable exception: our unit had a living room and a bedroom, and the air conditioning unit was above the main entry door. We opened all the bedroom windows to the breeze, but the bedroom never would cool off enough to sleep. We moved the mattress to the living room floor and were able to sleep comfortably in the air conditioned section of the unit (this is in July). So it was advertised as air-conditioned, but that did not include the bedroom. (Our friends' unit did not have this issue as there was only one room.) A smaller inconvenience is that there are few outlets. In the bedroom, you have to unplug the lamp to charge your phone. No matter, it was a good value and I would recommend staying here.

The apartment is located in a fairly quiet area and is very close (5 min) to both the train station and the port with ferries to Istria. The center can be reached in about ten minutes. Inside, everything necessary is available, and we did not encounter any problems. A special thanks to the manager, very kind and helpful.

The structure is in a perfect location, close to the station in a very quiet street. The managers are very kind and super available. Clean and tidy environments starting from the entrance. Towels changed every day, bed linen changed every other day. Clean and white linen, with the absence of the usual smell that I usually sense at the edges and that I have encountered in other establishments, especially in the pillowcase. Abundant breakfast, unfortunately there is no variety (the only flaw, which combined with the many positives, goes almost unnoticed). I will definitely return! Congratulations!

The accommodation that hosted us was perfect for cleanliness and centrality (two steps from the station and Piazza Unità). And what can I say about our Duson? Clean structure on the first floor of a historic building, with elevator. Close to the station and silos parking (where we left the car for 3 days so we wouldn't have to think about it anymore), a short distance from the center. You can reach it with a nice walk in the pedestrian street and ZTL where the structure is located. Mr. Disan is very kind, he pampered us during breakfast and gave us many useful indications about the city and more. There is a bit of lack of soundproofing in the rooms, but with polite people it's not a problem. Highly recommended.

La stanza presenta quasi tutte le comodità necessarie a un pernotto soddisfacente, fatto eccetto per l'assenza del bidet. Tuttavia, devo dire che abbiamo trovato il cestino del bagno già metà pieno al nostro arrivo, nonostante la pulizia fosse in realtà abbastanza buona. Per quanto riguarda il rapporto qualità-prezzo, siamo rimaste soddisfatte perché la posizione è stata molto comoda. Tuttavia, ci ha un po' impaurite il fatto che in una zona della stazione il portone principale viene lasciato sempre aperto. Le piccole accortezze, quali caramelle e bustine di thè, sono state molto apprezzate.

Buongiorno, Mi scuso per la svista del cesto della spazzatura, ma sarebbe bastato un avviso e saremmo arrivati in cinque minuti a sostituirlo, evitando un 6 poco soddisfacente nella recensione. Il portone aveva un problema alla serratura che è stato risolto in questi giorni, ma la zona è comunque molto sicura, c'è videosorveglianza nel palazzo e abbiamo una porta blindata nuova.

An excellent bed & breakfast. Large room, right bathroom; courtesy set with the possibility of making tea or coffee and candies as a treat. But the best part is Dusan, kind and generous with advice on what to visit; truly a precious person who makes you feel comfortable. His valuable advice was very useful for visiting the city, which is beautiful. We are certain we will return here, and I recommend this place to everyone.

It is cozy and discreet. The structure is in the center, providing the possibility to move around without means of transport. In five minutes you can reach the station on foot, and in a few minutes, you reach all the work activities of interest. I liked it.

Small rooms, limited space for luggage and personal belongings but with a bit of organization everything is settled. Excellent cleanliness, modern and essential style furniture. Close to the train station, in the heart of the historic center. Simple and effective electronic customer reception system. Apart from the only downside of the wobbly toilet seat, I would say it's ideal for spending a few nights.

The room is a bit small, there is little space for the suitcase, otherwise everything is fine. Dussan provided us with a lot of information during breakfast: boat trip to Miramare, scenic path to Prosecco with breathtaking views, historical background of Trieste.

The experience was positive in every aspect. The Affittacamere Iris is located in a beautiful building and in a very central area. The interior has been recently renovated and the room that hosted us was lovely and functional (the air conditioning was crucial in the summer!). The managers were really kind, friendly, and very helpful. We were completely satisfied.

The structure is a short walk from the train station and the Flixbus stop. Strategic location to reach the center and the port of beautiful Trieste on foot. The managers are very kind and provide excellent advice for visiting the city and the surroundings. There is air conditioning in the room. The only suggestions I feel like giving are: darken the window and put some shelves in the bathroom. I highly recommend the structure.

I stayed for one night with my family in room 6, an excellent solution for those with children. Cleanliness and courtesy characterize the structure. I especially point out the comfort of the mattresses and pillows, which is rare! The double bed is very spacious. I would definitely come back.
