We are the only hostel in the city center and our location allows you to reach in a few minutes walk to the train station and the main urban and suburban connection means.
Our multilingual staff is always smiling and can help with tourist information, events, restaurants and bike rentals.
The Hostel of Modena San Filippo Neri has 80 beds in comfortable single, double or triple rooms with private external bathrooms.
A relaxation space, a tourist info point and a modern communal kitchen with TV area, make the Hostel a comfortable place for short and long stays, making it also ideal houses at cheap prices.
The hostel's common areas are open 24h on 24 with the presence of the night porter.
The hostel's guests can take advantage of the new bar and the common kitchen on the floor are washing machine and automatic dryer. The hostel offers a free luggage storage and in collaboration with the municipality of Modena provides 4 rentable bicycles for free.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room neat and clean. The room was hot but the windows open - however the mosquitoes came in. Location very near the train station and within a short walk to the town centre. Quiet. I would stay here again.

A good accommodation in the center of Modena, the stay was pleasant. Breakfast was not included in the price but they kindly offered it to us anyway.

The Ostello San Filippo Neri is very clean, the staff is kind and helpful, the atmosphere is youthful. The luggage storage service beyond check-out time is much appreciated. The location is excellent, a 10-minute walk from the station and 15 from the Duomo. However, unfortunately, I did not have a nice overall experience... In early April, it was still quite cold outside, but the radiators were ALWAYS off. I understand that it depends on the Municipality (to which the hostel is linked, as I was explained), but if I hadn't asked for an extra blanket (a thin wool one, not a duvet), I believe that with the thin bedspread that had been prepared on the bed (as if it were already summer!), I would have definitely gotten sick. A sleepless night, stiffened to warm up, a scalding shower in the morning to recover. I think it is quite serious not to take care of this aspect, Municipality or not, risking to make people who have paid (and not exactly a small amount) to sleep, ill. I must also add that the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, you can hear all the noises from the common areas, and there are no curtains on the windows, for privacy you have to keep the shutters closed. Breakfast without infamy or praise: for a cappuccino and a croissant, the additional 3 euros could have been included directly in the final bill. In general, despite all the undeniable positive aspects, I don't think I would come back... important things left too much to chance.
