Description

Located in the open country, the Bed & Breakfast "LA VIA DELLA SETA" ("The silk route") is only few minutes' drive from the Fair and the motorway exit of Reggio Emilia. The Bed and Breakfast has 3 comfortable rooms with shower or hydromassage whirlpool bath, Turkish bath with relaxion area, a wide sitting room with fireplace, reading room and study for private meetings. A wide garden surrounds the house, which has been restored in full respect of the original architecture. The owners Cristina and Giorgio have furnished every area with elegance, using their timeless, personal style. Kind hosts, they will be pleased to welcome you.

You will appreciate the varied and tasteful breakfast, prepared with home-made foods, which will be served in the sitting room in front of the magnificent fireplace in winter and in the garden full of flowers in summer.

The accommodation is really beautiful, we only stayed one night, but it would have been nice to be able to enjoy it more. Maria Cristina is an attentive and helpful host and a person who is very pleasant to talk to. The breakfast (sweet and savory, depending on preferences) is abundant and excellent, the garden and common areas make you want to cancel your commitments to stop and relax. We liked everything very much! Thank you for the hospitality :)

Mrs. Cristina welcomed us in the best way and the stay was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was very well taken care of and delicious with exceptional homemade cakes. Highly recommended for those visiting the area.

I arrived at this property by chance and I must admit that the road to get there led me to think that I would not be satisfied with the choice. I crossed the gate and was impressed by the peace, simplicity, and silence... An oasis in the countryside that gives the feeling of stopping time and living a little dream... Everything exceeded expectations. A welcoming full of attentions, excellent suggestions about places to visit and restaurants to prefer. Maria Cristina opens her splendid house with generosity and warmth, allowing guests to enjoy a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing environment. We stayed for two days with Maria Cristina and Giorgio, a family of 6, at La Via della Seta. The house is located in the countryside, in a very quiet and relaxing place but close to Reggio Emilia, not far from Modena, Bologna. The setting, the decoration are magnificent. We were amazed by this residence where we spent an unforgettable stay. The rooms are all decorated with great taste, sophistication. The living room is impressive. The bookshelves that overlook it make you want to sit in one of the armchairs or chaise longues that invite you to take a break. The numerous paintings deserve a closer look. The visit to Giorgio's cellar is worth it. The breakfast is incredible! Maria Cristina and Giorgio prepare delicious cakes, different varieties of homemade bread, excellent homemade jams, cold cuts and cheese to die for. All accompanied by fresh fruit, muesli for those who prefer... In short, it's a delight every morning. Maria Cristina and Giorgio are extremely welcoming, available. The bedding is of good quality. In conclusion, it is a place for a magical and peaceful break, in a calm setting in a splendid house. A very, very beautiful discovery, made by chance and without a doubt we will return with friends to share this moment of tranquility. Thank you Maria Cristina and Giorgio!

If you want to experience what it's like in paradise, this is the right place. For a romantic weekend surrounded by silence and total peace, pampered by the owner Maria Cristina, in a refined environment, rich in carefully sought-after details in style, background music, large windows that let in light and nature, books, and lots and lots of warmth. Very comfortable mattress, abundant breakfast rich in many different artisanal productions. If there's a way to do the job of managing a bed & breakfast, Maria Cristina is definitely a master. Exceptional value for money. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful, very relaxing atmosphere, well-cared details. The lounge with the fireplace, whose glass reveals and gives access to the private garden, and the reading room are wonderful. A breathtaking B&B. The famous Silk Road is really nothing compared to such a structure. Maximum attention to details, because it is clear that everything is done with passion. Furnishings and materials are all of excellent quality. Mrs. Maria Cristina who welcomed me is a very pleasant person, with whom to exchange some chats after a long journey. I would define the breakfast as excellent in quality. Hearing at night the scent of hay and the song of crickets feels like being in a movie. Thank you for the wonderful welcome that I will remember.

As we were heading south in Italy, we wanted to make a stop along the way. We couldn't have found anything better. A beautiful house where Christina and Giorgio warmly welcomed us (Giorgio speaks French very well). The rooms are very beautiful and the homemade breakfast is sumptuous. An unforgettable stopover.

This B&B is excellent. The place and surroundings are beautiful. The house, the architecture and decoration are stunning. Every detail is being taken care of. The hosts do an amazing job to make you feel at home, they are incredibly welcoming. Breakfast is a real treat. This is a jewel in the countryside. I give 7 for location because you have to have a car to get to the place, but not a problem if you have a car. I highly recommend this place, I will be back.
