"La Via del Volano” Room&Breakfast is located in Codigoro in the province of Ferrara along the river Po di Volano in the north-east of the Po Delta Park in Emilia Romagna.

Navigation along the River Po had always played an important role in the history and culture of this territory, therefore many vessels used to sail the river Po carrying food and goods. Today we can go along the same routes following fascinating and unchanged itineraries. Our Room&Breakfast “La Via del Volano” – which is right in the heart of the Po Delta Park established in 1988 by Emilia Romagna Region - suggests visiting these extraordinary landscapes whose original environment is still well preserved and protected.

SLOW TOURISM
“La Via del Volano” is an ideal starting point for nature lovers, photographers and birdwatchers.

The river course, starting from the dock of Codigoro up to the open sea, the so called sea area Sacca di Goro, is a marvellous trip among the impenetrable reeds and the “bilancioni”- small typical fishermen’s houses on the river bank. The river flows under the highway Romea, at Passo Pomposa, where it is possible to admire the bell tower of the famous Abbey, and it goes on between the Oasi di Canneviè and Valle Bertuzzi. It finally reaches the sea completing its course in the sea area which includes Lido di Volano and a strip of land also known as Isola dell’Amore (Island of Love). The Lagoons of Comacchio and Mesola Wood are also ideal places for excursions.

THE BUILDING
“La Via del Volano” is a new building whose construction follows our philosophy of environmental sustainability. It is a high-efficiency building exploiting solar energy. Thanks to the biological plasters of the inner spaces, guests can stay in a healthy and comfortable location.

There are 4 rooms with a private bathroom - one of them equipped for disabled people -, a comfortable breakfast room, a private parking area and a big sunny terrace with deckchairs and tables where guests can relax.

OUR OFFERS
We offer B&B stay, preferring local products for breakfast, and agreements with typical restaurants and shops, bikes rental, naturalistic trips by boat, by bicycle or on foot to the Po Delta Park and guided tours to places of historic interest that the Estense family belonged a few centuries ago. Italian and foreign tourists can easily find information about the territory visiting our info-point. We would be also glad to help and advise them for any kind of trips in this suggestive territory through our Italian/English/ Spanish-speaking staff. Our guests’ pets are welcome with microchip and health card.

I would like to start by saying that if I could, I would have given much more than 10. Lisa and Lorenzo are two kind, genuine people ready to help you in any situation. The property is newly built and very well-maintained, with large and very functional rooms. But the truly sensational thing is the breakfast managed by Lisa. Homemade cakes made by her are not just good, they are much more. We have now come back for the third time and it has become our point of reference for a holiday in the Ferrara beaches and in the valleys of Comacchio. Thank you guys for your professionalism and kindness, we felt like part of the family. See you soon.

Review with top marks for the cleanliness of the rooms and the structure, the managers are excellent always kind, helpful, excellent tour guides to show you the beauties of the places, it feels like being with family and friends. Room 'Le Valli' spacious with large, very clean and functional bathroom and kitchenette (fridge, induction hob, sink, all brand new). Perfect cleanliness throughout the structure. Bright and very welcoming kitchen, abundant and quality breakfast of choice (the managers also ask the day before what you prefer to be able to buy everything fresh, sweet and savory, fresh cakes with seasonal ingredients). Welcoming and very competent family management; the managers know and enhance the territory in which the structure is contextualized, making known all the possibilities to explore it according to the guests' interests. Perfectly spoken English. Certified management for celiacs. Proximity to historical and artistic museums, surprising naturalistic itineraries. Located 10 minutes from the sea and only 5 minutes from the Po Delta Natural Reserve Park. 45 minutes from Mirabilandia and other water parks. Ecological structure in construction and management (detergents, personal products, renewable energy, separate waste collection) awarded by Legambiente. Bicycles available for rent. I will come back many times!

I stayed at this B&B with my dad. New disabled-friendly room, well thought out, parking in front of the room accessible with a ramp, spacious room with large bathroom and shower box! And to start the day off right, great sweet and savory breakfast. If I need it, I will definitely go back.

We stayed only one night. Too bad. The B&B is very beautiful and brand new. All the rooms are very clean, tidy, and tastefully furnished. The breakfast is abundant and well taken care of. Lisa and Lorenzo, the owners, are very nice and made us feel comfortable right away. I definitely recommend this place.

Although we only stayed one night, we immediately realized that the place definitely deserved an extension of our little vacation. Very colorful and well-kept rooms, very clean, breakfasts based on local products with attention to the problems of those who may have food intolerances. Among the places we have visited, this deserves to be mentioned among the best. If possible, we will definitely return.

The structure is completely new, with well-furnished rooms and spacious bathrooms, and thorough cleaning. Television, air conditioning, spacious wardrobes, new bedding, and everything coordinated. You can see that the property pays attention to details. The breakfast room is very nice where you have the opportunity to choose based on your tastes what to eat with a wide selection. To complete the picture, the managers are really very courteous and helpful. What more can I say, I will definitely return. It is truly a quality/price ratio that has left me very satisfied.
