Description

The Bed & Breakfast La Francesa is a large and beautiful renovated country house with a large garden and vineyard all around the house.

The B&B La Francesa offers two double rooms (with bath in the room) and an apartment (bed room, bath, living) in the roof floor that can guests two to five people.

The B&B La Francesa is the ideal place for a peaceful and relaxing stop.

Breakfast is served outdoor in Spring-Summer. Lunch and dinner can easily be arranged with the restaurants next door.

We speak English.

Small Animals are welcome.

Other facilities provided are: Air con, Free parking, TV set.

The B&B La Francesa is located quite close to Carpi. A bike lane connects Fossoli to Carpi. It takes about 30 minutes to cycle to the main large Piazza in front of the XII-XV century Castle.

Major towns like Modena, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Mantova and Verona are very easy reachable either by car or by train. The surrounding area offers several opportunities for tasting local wines, meat and cheeses, and the famous traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena as well as historical sites.

My name is Isa, I am the manager of the B&B La Francesa.

I started this business just for fun and it is now more than 10 years since the B&B opened in 2007. It seems like yesterday, after a holiday in a nice B&B on an island in Tuscany, I came home keen to open my own B&B.

I am personally welcome our guests and preparing breakfast. I like it when a guest tells me that he feels like home.

The B&B La Francesa is located in Fossoli di Carpi (Modena), not far away (just ten minutes) from the Carpi exit on the Brennero highway (A22). Once arrived in Carpi by car through the Brennero highway take the exit "Carpi" and follow the indication for Mantova and Fossoli.

It is easy to reach B&B LA FRANCESA. It will take you no more than 10 minutes to reach Fossoli.
Once in Fossoli turn right at the first traffic light, Via Ivano Martinelli, at the second traffic light follow Via Ivano Martinelli. After about 300 meters turn left. Careful! The road is rather narrow, it is called Stradello Fassi (Stradello means very narrow road). Drive slowly, the Stradello pleasantly unwinds for about 300 metre to BnB LA FRANCESA that is on the left hand side.

I stayed only one night for work reasons. I really appreciated the cleanliness, the friendliness of the manager, and the breakfast. Quiet location but convenient for getting to Carpi and Modena. The only small consideration is the lack of a minibar in the room; there was only a small bottle of water available. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Good structure for a short stay. Nice structure and the place is very quiet. We didn't have breakfast and I can't say anything about it. But I can say that for the price and the location it is a bit high. I spent 75€ without breakfast, no minibar, nothing to eat, just water, and the bed was very noisy with every movement without a double mattress, but two single mattresses joined together. The TV is very small and without air conditioning which could be very useful to heat the environment as you wish. There are places that offer more services at this price. Rating 6.5 for my experience.

We stayed in the attic, a welcoming and super clean environment. The structure and decor give a sense of going back in time, to simplicity, but at the same time with all the necessary comforts. We appreciated the breakfast (mainly organic) served in a very cozy environment. The hosts were very kind and attentive to everything discreetly. I recommend it.

The owners are lovely people. We stayed in the attic room with air conditioning. Spacious and clean room, furnished with vintage and modern furniture. Fabulous breakfast with products prepared by the owners (e.g. balsamic vinegar).

Well, we were there with dogs. They cannot stay alone in the room. The owner also has 2 dogs, so it wasn't relaxing even in the garden. Generally very nice. Breakfast wasn't that great. The coffee was cold. There was neither cheese nor ham. Hm...

A friend and I stayed at La Francesa for one night, staying in the very large attic loft, spacious, simply furnished and very clean. The house is very large and well-maintained, the presence of pets makes it even more welcoming. The location just outside Carpi city ensures silence and tranquility, even though it is too far to reach on foot (by car it is only a ten-minute drive). The hosts are kind, discreet, and available to provide any information you may need. They even offered us a ride to the station! Breakfast is varied and very abundant, fresh croissants, coffee, fruit, yogurt, warm and toasted bread, jams, biscuits, juices, vegan and non-dairy milk, and they also provided a vegan option (two types of packaged biscuits and brioches) on request. Good value for money. We will gladly return, this time with the car! Thank you very much. Gaia and Isotta.

It is a Bed & Breakfast to recommend. To my surprise, I found a very quiet place 10 minutes from the center. The owner is kind, welcoming, helpful, and attentive to your needs. The room is furnished with style and taste, maximum cleanliness. The quality and price ratio is excellent. I could not have breakfast by choice, next time I won't miss it.

B&B located in a strategic position in the Carpi area: 1000 meters from the Fossoli concentration camp (reachable with a walk).\n\nImmersed among the Lambrusco vineyards, it is managed by 2 exquisite, helpful, and professional people. 300 meters away (on foot) there is a very good restaurant.\n\nWe took the apartment and we had a great time. Unfortunately, the weather didn't help us, but in spring and summer on sunny days it must be wonderful.\n\nVery high quality/price ratio.\n\nHighly recommended.

Nice naturalistic place, very close to the La Francesca oasis and interesting bike paths for sports lovers.
