We are in the most beautiful and most prestigious area of ??Bologna, 100 meters from Piazza Maggiore and the 2 towers symbol of Bologna, in the pedestrian area, which means being really "in the navel" of our beautiful city, the area is quiet and super-lit.
A few meters from us, there are all the main bus lines in direct connection with the Bologna fair, the train station (easily reachable on foot), the airport, Rizzoli hospital (line 30 bus in 10 minutes or reachable on foot in less than 20 minutes), S. Orsola hospital (line 11 bus in 15 minutes), private clinic Villa Torri (line 20 bus in 20 minutes), Villa Regina (line 30 bus in 8 minutes), Villa Nigrisoli (line 11 bus in 20 minutes), Maggiore hospital (line 19 and 38 buses in 15 minutes), Villalba private clinic (line 29B bus in 15 minutes).
The rooms are located on the third and last floor, WITHOUT ELEVATOR, they are particularly bright and quiet, facing south, air-conditioned.
The structure has two options,
1) Independent entrance, double bedroom and large bathroom with window accessible directly from the bedroom. Inside the room there is a corner with a coffee machine and pods for guests.
2) Two-roomed apartment with independent access composed of a double bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with window, there is the possibility of adding the third and fourth bed in the living area. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, electric hob.

Smoking is not permitted inside the premises.
We do not provide breakfast.
The bathrooms, both with windows, are equipped with shower, hair-dryer and hand-washing soap.

Tiziano is a great host offering help and advice. We were easily communicating through Whatsapp. The mini-apartment is spacious, cozy, and has all necessary modern utilities. It is located in the main square but it is quiet because the apartment faces the small courtyard. People with mobility problems need to be aware that it is on the top floor and there is no elevator. Suggestion to Tiziano: it would be great to add an electric kettle to your kitchen utilities.

My wife and I were satisfied with the room, clean and suitable for our stay. Very strategic location, right in the center of Bologna in front of the house of the famous "Lucio Dalla". The contact with Tiziano (manager of the B & B) was very efficient, we were well received from the ground floor and he kindly carried my wife's suitcase to the room. The only drawback is that the room is located on the third floor without a lift, but we already knew this. We are very happy with the place and highly recommend it. Excellent value for money.

This apartment is adorable and Tiziano is an incredibly generous host! The bed is comfortable, the AC was a huge relief during this heat wave, the shower and hairdryer are fancy, and the little kitchen is perfectly stocked. The location, of course, cannot be beat. There is no better place to stay in Bologna than this one. When you walk out of the door you immediately find yourself in the bustling centre of the city, just 30 seconds walk from Piazza Maggiore. Within the same timeframe, you could walk to the pastry shop on Piazza de' Celestini. You're literally in the center of Bologna and places like the Margherite Gardens, the university district, and the train station are all within a half-hour walk. From the station, you can take the Frecciarossa train to comfortably reach Florence in less than 40 minutes. \n\nI thoroughly enjoyed my stay just because of the location. If you'd like to go for an evening walk or a late dinner, for example, you wouldn't have to rush to get home. It allowed me to have dinner in some restaurants further away, outside the tourist area. \n\nThe apartment is perfect during the hot summers, as you could easily return to stock up on water from the fridge or cool down. I never had any problems with the city noises, as the apartment faces a quiet courtyard. A high-end restaurant is located near the building's entrance, but I never experienced any noise from it. \n\nYou have the possibility to relax in front of your apartment and catch some sunshine in the morning and afternoon. There is also good-working Wi-Fi, a television, and even a washing machine, in case you need them. \n\nThe air conditioning in La Colombina worked wonders for the heat, as I stayed during the summer month with temperatures up to 35 degrees Celsius. The apartment is clean and very cozy. There are spacious closets and the shower works as it should. In case you'd like to cook dinner yourself on the stove, there are wonderful cooking books available, full of authentic Italian recipes. \n\nWhat struck me was the personal touch. Not only in relation to the apartment, but host Tiziano will also do his best to make your stay unforgettable. Apart from being friendly and kind, he remains available for any requests or problems that you might run into. It's that personal touch that really solidifies my positive review of this apartment.

Within 20-25 minutes walking distance from the train station (day trips to Florence, Modena, Parma,..) and perfect for exploring the historic center of Bologna. We stayed for 4 days in the mini apartment and we were extremely satisfied. Everything was perfect for us: 20 minutes walk from the station, ideal location in the historic center of Bologna, 4 minutes from Piazza Maggiore, third floor with a view over the rooftops of Bologna. The apartment is well-equipped and tastefully furnished, spacious, the hob contains everything necessary and is extremely functional. Ideal situation to visit a truly magnificent city. The owners, Tiziano and Milena, are very friendly, helpful, and provide good advice. Good pastry shop for breakfast just steps away and excellent typical restaurants nearby (always on foot). We will definitely come back.

I stayed for two days in the studio apartment at La Colombina. Saying that I felt good is an understatement. The place is tastefully decorated and gives the feeling of being in a safe, intimate, and comfortable space. The kitchenette has everything you need to prepare a good lunch and dinner, and it is extremely functional. If you prefer to relax after a long walk through the city, you can sit in the living room to read the books from the home library, or play cards, chess, or Scrabble. In short, nothing is missing. The full availability of the owner and the absolute centrality of the structure, just a few meters from Piazza Maggiore, definitively confirm it as one of the cutest and most welcoming accommodations in the city.

I stayed in the double room with bathroom and nothing was out of place. We had many comforts at our disposal, such as the coffee machine and the folding table for breakfast (with a mini fridge it would have been great). The environment is very clean and tidy and the location is very central: two minutes walk to Piazza Maggiore. Tiziano, the manager, was clear, helpful and friendly with us, but above all very helpful. Beautiful Bologna, beautiful La Colombina, beautiful experience.

I stayed at this property for one night (29th July 19) and I had a very good time.
Tiziano who welcomed us was very helpful, friendly, and welcoming.
The room was equally welcoming, clean, and comfortable.
Great location right in the center just a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore.
Being in a small alley, there were no problems with traffic noise, just a bit of noise from the restaurant below, but of limited annoyance. Excellent value for money considering it's in the center and during high season.
Recommended.

My wife and I were very happy to have found this room a day before. Also in the center of Bologna! The contact with the owner was intense, but very efficient. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the manager. He kindly led us to the room. This was on the third floor. He carried my wife's suitcase. We are very happy with this place. We had a very pleasant weekend in Bologna at this property, located in one of the most beautiful spots in the city: the central via d'Azeglio! The double room is very nice, well-kept, and spotlessly clean! The bathroom is spacious and equipped with all the comforts. In the room, you can enjoy a great coffee, which is much appreciated! Also worth mentioning is the kindness and great availability of the owners who allowed me, arriving in the city before their arrival at the property, to immediately use the room upon my arrival, independently. They were also very nice in contacting us the next day to see if we needed anything. Truly great attention to customers! My girlfriend and I stayed at this B&B for one night. Completely renovated structure, modern and clean. The only flaw is the lack of breakfast, but there is a coffee machine in the room where you can make great coffee. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back when passing through Bologna.

I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast! Every time I come back to Bologna, I always try to stay here, the rooms are very cozy and well furnished, very clean, complete with everything and all the comforts. Upon arrival, the room was already warm making you feel at home immediately. Milena and Tiziano are two very sweet and helpful people, as well as caring and attentive to every request. The location, more central than this Bed and Breakfast would mean staying inside the Basilica of St. Petronio.

My boyfriend and I had a great time at La Colombina, the location is very central and the room very clean. We were lucky and instead of the single room + bathroom we had booked, they left us at the same price a whole small apartment with kitchen and living room. We were greeted by Tiziano who was always very friendly and helpful until the end of our stay and gave us great advice on the best taverns in the city. The room also has a small terrace with a table and a nice view. Recommended!

Perfect location, next to the Duomo and Piazza. We were able to easily walk to all of Bologna's attractions. Our bedroom had the most beautiful furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped so we could make dinner with Bologna's special pastas. We were supplied with plenty of breakfast coffee for the four of us. Our host was delightful and most accommodating, as our flight was very late.

If praise were to be given, I would give that too. I have never seen a cleaner place, even the electrical wires behind the oven were polished. I will recommend anyone who wants to go to Bologna to stay there.

My stay in Bologna lasted only two days, but it was very pleasant thanks to the choice of B&B La Colombina. The qualities that I appreciated in the structure are: its very central location (a stone's throw from the house of the great Lucio Dalla and from Piazza Maggiore); the very cordial and discreet relationship with the managers of the structure; the possibility to enjoy a good coffee (absolutely wonderful for me), a herbal tea or a tea independently; the room and the bathroom clean, welcoming and equipped with everything necessary. I would not recommend booking the room: to those who have difficulty climbing stairs (but it is specified on the website that the room is on the third floor without an elevator); and to those who are not skilled with squats (since the bed is a bit low).

Very central location. From the room's window, you can see the back of the Basilica of San Petronio, yet it is located in a quiet alley. Clean room, kind and very responsive manager in phone communications.

Everything perfect. Central location, very beautiful, very clean, quiet room. Very kind and discreet host. Really good price-quality ratio. I just missed a support for writing, being in Bologna for work, maybe a small writing desk. I will definitely come back.

La Colombina is a really nice and cozy B&B, in the city center, it would be impossible to be closer to Piazza Maggiore. I found the cleanliness impeccable. The owner was kind and helpful. Highly recommended for a stay in the city!

My brother and I decided to visit Bologna and, searching online, we found this delightful B&B. Very central location, clean and well-kept rooms, very kind and helpful owners. If I had to find a flaw (but it can certainly be improved), I would say the poor breakfast. For the rest, we felt at home, and we will return. I highly recommend it! Thanks to Milena and Tiziano. Great stay, the apartment is ideally located, the bedding is of quality even on the sofa bed in the living room, the balcony is flowery and very pleasant. Nothing to complain about except that we will come back. Special mention to the Gran Bar on Via Massimo d'Azeglio for a typically Italian breakfast with filled croissant (cream, Nutella, jam) and cappuccino.

Cozy and clean room and very nice and kind owner! Great location, just behind Piazza Maggiore. The only flaw, if one wants to be picky, was the glass door of the room, which let light in when other guests returned late at night while we were sleeping. Apart from this, everything was great, even the breakfast at the affiliated bar with very good artisan croissants.

The B&B is practically in Piazza Maggiore, so very central. New, clean, and comfortable.\n\nIt is located on the third floor without an elevator, but it's worth it.\n\nIt consists of two small apartments, separated by a connecting door that is normally closed.\n\nWe rented the entire B&B, so both apartments. We had a great time. The larger apartment is really comfortable, with a kitchen, TV, coffee pod machine, fridge, and washing machine. The bathrooms are brand new and clean, with bathroom furnishings and soaps available.\n\n2 km from the train station.\n\nIdeal for a family vacation in Bologna!\nWe will be back!\nHighly recommended!

Wonderful stay. We stayed in the two-room apartment: very clean, fully equipped. The staff is helpful and very kind. The location is central, we never took any transportation. Just a few steps from Piazza Maggiore and all the beauties of Bologna (including Lucio Dalla's house right in front). If we return to Bologna, we will definitely come back here.
