Description

An old country house becomes a welcoming B&B surrounded by the green hills of the Piacentino, only a short distance from the attractions of Castell'Arquato, one of the most beautiful and fascinating localities in the area. Restoration of the building, which fully respects the original spaces and local materials, was effected both structurally and in the choice of furnishings and domestic antiques, stylishly recycled whilst still evoking the humble origins of this old worker’s cottage. The house offers a peaceful haven immersed in the landscape whilst still being an excellent starting point for exploratory excursions discovering the locality’s art, its gastronomy and quality wines, or else for walks along the country paths and tracks flanking the Piacenziano National Reserve.

Breakfast

For your breakfast we use only local products, fresh and seasonal from local farms where fruit and vegetables ripen on the plant and the jams are made with fruit from our trees. The meats are from local producers and eggs from the chicken coop. Our breakfasts are usually sweet but if you want to get up later and a salty breakfast more substantial you can arrange Bed and Brunch.

Chiara is an art historian who works as a touristic guide to exhibitions. museums and sites in Milan and in Emia. She guides groups in Italy and abroad to discover and appreciate places of historic and artistic interest but, due to its roots in the Piacenza area, she decided to split up herself between work in the cities and life in the countryside and to share her passion with her guests.

The house is located 2 km from the square of the Medieval fortress and of the Collegiata of Castell'Arquato, Surrounded by the green of the vineyards in a quiet but easy to get to and get around. Good starting point to visit monuments and interestoing sites of the area but also for walkaround. 2 km far from the center of Castell'Arquato village; 2 km from Vigolo Marchese; 4, 6 km from Vigoleno, 40 km from Parma and Giuseppe Verdi sites, 16 km from Salsomaggiore, an ancient thermal town.

Rural structure near the beautiful town of Castell’Arquato, splendidly renovated with reclaimed materials. The view and location instill a very pleasant sense of relaxation. Fantastic breakfast prepared by the skilled hands of Chiara, as well as the fantastic manager of the farm stay. Only flaw: bidet is missing.

I can only leave an excellent review for this wonderful, well-kept structure positioned in a truly beautiful corner. Clean rooms, very spacious and tastefully furnished. I also very much appreciated the stove in the room that creates a great atmosphere... \n\nCongratulations to Chiara who is truly hospitable, kind, and friendly. The breakfast was very good and abundant too... The apple pie she prepared for us was exceptional. \n\nWe had a great time and I would definitely come back to this structure.

This is the best B&B ever. The location is beautifully situated in the Apennines, close to the medieval town of Castell'Arquato. The property is authentic and is located in a large garden full of flowers, figs, and olive trees, with perfect terraces to relax on and enjoy nature. We loved our spacious room for its comfort, privacy, and cleanliness. And above all, the real gem of this place was our host Chiara, who truly is a superhost. She made us feel very welcome, served a delicious breakfast with a new and nice surprise every day. She was warm and witty and made us really feel at home. It is a place to come back to.

The property is almost at the peak of the hill, the road that leads to it is not lit up at all but driving slowly will let you reach the private parking without problems. The view and the audible peace are the best part of the property: you can see through all the plains and hear the constant sound of birds and bees. The only thing I didn't like was that the windows lack external shutters, so the morning light makes its way through the curtains. However, the view you can see from the breakfast room and the kindness and the cooking skill of the host made us forget this little inconvenience. Both mornings she prepared us delicious warm strudel and biscuits. That made our day!

Chiara's management, a lover of history and art connoisseur, is evident in every corner. As a B&B, it is recommended for the peace, the view, and the surrounding nature. The rooms are humble and functional. As you enter, you are welcomed by a sense of peace. The scent of cinnamon invites you to relax. Chiara is a very attentive and dedicated host, making you feel comfortable. After a restful night, a simple, humble, and tasty breakfast awaited us. Overall, a positive experience. However, be mindful of people with mobility difficulties. Some rooms are only accessible after a long series of steps. I recommend contacting Chiara in advance.

We had a very pleasant one-night stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast nestled in the countryside. The landscape is enchanting, quiet, perfect for relaxation. The room is very spacious, well-kept, clean, and has independent access. The breakfast is plentiful, in a family-like atmosphere. Chiara is an excellent host, kind, caring, and smiling. We had a great time! The location is excellent for reaching all the places of interest. Excellent value for money.

Kindness, passion, and professionalism of the landlady made us feel immediately at home. Private parking nearby. Quality structure where attention to detail was greatly appreciated. We were given the ground floor room (the stable): beautiful spacious room with a touch of elegance in the bright cut on the floor. Perhaps a mirror is missing for the ladies. Exceptional breakfast with very fresh products. Commendable careful advice for the restaurant and places to visit as well as for buying local products. Excellent B&B. Congratulations.

Very nice property, excellent location, spacious and characteristic rooms. Mrs. Chiara is very kind, welcomed us very well and met my needs for a gluten-free breakfast. If there had also been a pool, we wouldn't have left that oasis of peace.

An excellent place to explore the Castelli Piacentini, for those who love nature. The room I stayed in was very spacious and had a stunning view of the surrounding area. For the cyclists: the area has a lot of relatively short and steep climbs, lots of fun.

Excellent structure located two km from the Borgo di Castell'Arquato, immersed in the silence and greenery of the Piacenza hills. Chiara is a perfect host, extremely helpful in providing useful information and advice, but also an excellent cook who enriches the morning breakfast with delicious homemade cakes and cookies as well as fresh fruit and hot drinks. Highly recommended!

Intanto ho dovuto mettere delle date di fantasia perché non visualizzo il calendario di luglio, comunque la struttura è bella, in mezzo al verde, i particolari delle camere sono molto originali e denotano una notevole inventiva, la proprietaria è gentilissima (ed è anche una guida accreditata, fissatele una visita privata in qualche posto che vi interessa). Molto piacevole la colazione in cucina, un luogo familiare e curato al tempo stesso, ottime le briochine.

Posto tranquillo, ben tenuto, Gianni e Chiara ospiti cordiali e molto colti. La "Legnaia" è una camera bellissima, con una vista a perdita d'occhio (nelle giornate che lo permettono) sulle colline retrostanti e la vasta pianura. Colazione ricca, con marmellate home made e pane fresco, frutta e torte.

Nelle vicinanze della splendida Castell'Arquato abbiamo scoperto questo gioiellino: un antico casale finemente ristrutturato da cui si può godere il bellissimo spettacolo dei colli piacentini. La cordialità e la competenza della titolare, la signora Chiara, ci ha permesso di conoscere e assaggiare le specialità del luogo e di visitare luoghi incantevoli per bellezze naturali ed artistiche. Un bed&breakfast che ci sentiamo vivamente di consigliare.
