Description
"La Casa dei Ricordi" (the house of memories) was the home of my grandparents, Ezio and Luciana. Ezio was a partisan who fought for liberation, was nominated knight of labor and was councilor for taxes in Modena. The President of ANPI was highly appreciated by the community. Luciana was a member of parliament, a feminist and a very politically active woman.
The house built by them in 1962 and still features their furnishings and wallpaper typical of the time.
It will soon be completely renovated starting from the bathrooms which definitely show the signs of time. Before booking it is important that you understand that we are in a transition phase so several things in the house show the signs of time and are certainly not new. We will slowly redo the entire apartment.
Important: Only one bathroom has a bidet and only one bathroom has a shower (the other has a bathtub)
The kitchen is equipped with everything, crockery, cutlery, glasses, dishwasher, microwave, oven and refrigerator. You find various pots and pans and the coffee machine.

The San Faustino neighborhood is a very quiet neighborhood, there are elementary and nursery schools right under the house. It has two very convenient bus stops in the next street (Via Luosi). Parking is free along the entire street and adjacent streets.
The historic center begins a 5-minute walk from the house (going along Via Riccoboni you enter the center from Calle di Luca). From there, walking 350 meters you arrive at Piazza Grande and the Duomo.
The Modena polyclinic hospital is 10 minutes away by car.
The bus station is a 10/12 minute walk from the house and from there you can reach the train station (about 10 minutes by car from the house).

Kindness and cordiality. Marta is a sunny girl. The structure, although dated, is very well maintained and clean. I hope I won't need hospitals in Modena anymore. If I do, I know who to turn to.

Marta was super kind and friendly. The apartment is a bit dated but has its charm. The price is great and we had a quiet evening. It's in a semi-central area so better for those arriving by car rather than by train. The mattresses (beige room) are excellent. The shower is a bit tight. For breakfast, the coffee capsules were very welcome. Thank you!

Il Phon era nel mobile del bagno, bastava guardare... ma in effetti pensavate non ci fossero neanche gli asciugamani che erano pronti sul vostro letto; Il televisore in sala ha sia amazon che netflix, quello in camera non è affatto di scarsa qualità, ha avuto un problema l'antenna del condominio. I mobili sono originali in noce... certo che sono vecchi, sono anni '60 esattamente come da descrizione sul sito! Leggo con rammarico il voto al Gestore perchè sono stata più che disponibile per tutto, sia sull'orario del check-in che a venire comunque di persona per darvi la ricevuta e a fornirvi ogni genere di informazione. Il prezzo è il più basso che trovate a Modena quindi credo sia adeguato.
