Description
The hilly area above Piacenza abounds in churches, including many small Romanesque jewels, castles like Gropparello, Castelnuovo Fogliani, Castell’Arquato and Vigoleno and the enchanting medieval hill town of Grazzano Visconti with its winding streets immersed in lush vegetation and lined with numerous craft shops.
Be sure to also see: the Gropparello Fairy-Tale Park, instructive and lots of fun for children and the Adventure Academy survival school, public swimming pools in Gropparello, Lugagnano Val d’Arda and Carpaneto Piacentino, not to mention all sorts of local country fairs and festivals, while Veleia Romana, one of the most important archeological zones in all of Northern Italy.
If you want to relax in the heart of the wilderness, there is the Monte Moria Provincial Park, perfect for hikes and bicycle excursions.
Plus there are a number of riding stables near the Bed & Breakfast.
A land rich in food specialties
Gourmets and people who are fond of good food will find that there is a lot to discover touring through the small towns and hilly countryside near Piacenza.
As a matter of fact, these hills boast fully 18 varieties of D. O. C. wines, including such outstanding delights as: Gutturnio, Ortrugo and Bonarda.
Trying them with the local D. O. P. dressed pork products and cheeses as you tour the local archeological sites and enjoy country outings is one of the best ways to discover the pleasures of this particular region.
Among the humble traditional dishes we would like to recommend are: pisarei e fasö, little gnocchi made from bread topped with an abundant bean sauce; picula ad caval, stewed ground horse meat; roast coppa; and the famous chisolino (a bread specialty similar to focaccia) to be enjoyed with the excellent Piacenza coppa.

Breakfast
If you love to be pampered in the morning with a tasty and plentiful breakfast, you've come to the right place! The highlight of our service is precisely this!
When you wake up, you'll find a table set with sweets, typical jams, fruits chosen according to the seasons, freshly baked cakes, pies, and croissants, yogurt, muesli and cereals, fruit juices, fresh bread, and toast, and seasonal fruit.
Fresh crepes with Nutella or jam and a savory buffet with sliced salami, typical local cheeses, eggs, and bortellina upon request. We'll prepare coffee, herbal teas, tea, cappuccino, milk, and hot chocolate for you. All served in "Nonno Celeste's Shop" or in "Nonna Maria's Sewing Room," where you can still admire retro details such as "Nonna Maria's" antique sewing machine, the fireplace, and the paintings on the ceiling.

Area
Nestled in amongst the verdant hills above Piacenza at an altitude of 700 meters a bed and breakfast has been opened in a former carpenter’s workshop, a place imbued with the welcoming spirit and traditions of a family that has long lived in this area.
It serves as a strategic point of departure for touring the numerous places of
interest that abound in this scenic corner of Italy.
Why is it called Bottega Celeste?
It’s named after the founder of the Bellini Family, Grandfather Celeste, who opened a carpenters shop here in 1925.
This delightful B&B has been designed to serve as a simple, but welcoming facility, a tribute to the time-honored traditions of spending time together in joy and harmony which were taught by Grandfather Celeste.
Here you will discover Grandfather Celeste’s work tools, but, above all the values and flavors of a land with which the Bellini Family feels a profound and lasting bond.
Family traditions and warm hospitality.

We had journied from Milan by car to search for the village where my wife's ancestors lived. We booked this bed and breakfast as it was near Morfasso but had no idea that the area was so very beautiful.
The family made good contact with us prior to the visit and on arrival the lovely Franca sat us down to tea and home made jam tart.
Our accomodation was entirely seperate with beautiful bathroom and our own sun terrace. I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast more highly.

Our hosts Mr & Mrs Bellini were very welcoming and looked after us extremely well throughout our stay. Breakfast was varied and filling and plentiful. We were offered coffee and cake when we arrived and in the afternoon. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The separate bathroom was large, clean and had a bath and a shower. There is a roof patio area that can be used to sit out, look at the wonderful views across the mountains and down the valley to Piacenza and sip some good red wine.

Molto accogliente, stanza bellissima, colazione regale. Grazie mille.
Wonderfully hospitable host, beautifully and personally furnished (with lovely touches like rose petals on the towels) luxurious breakfast (with delicious home-baked apple cake). Just sorry I couldn't stay for longer. Thank you so much.

Ci torneremo sicuramente.
