Description

The Bed and Breakfast "Il Seccatoio" is located in Castello di Riolunato (820m above sea level) and is situated in the center of a chestnut forest.

The house was created from what was used as a chestnut drying room, called a "metato," up until thirty years ago.

In close proximity to nature, there are three double rooms available for guests, each with its own bathroom, shower, hairdryer, and breakfast featuring local typical products.

Very comfortable accommodation. The warm welcome from this family definitely makes a difference. I highly recommend it for a few days of relaxation: at Seccatoio it feels like time has stopped 😊. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The property is very close to the Parcheggio delle Polle.

Il Seccatoio is a magical place, away from the chaos of the city where one can unplug, surrounded by peace and nature. A place where time seems to have stopped. The location is delightful, clean and organized while maintaining the simplicity and authenticity that also distinguishes the hostess. We felt welcomed as if we were at home, while still preserving our intimacy. It was two unforgettable days for us. We returned home relaxed and at the same time enriched by the stories that Il Seccatoio, Mariarosa and her family shared with us.

Very beautiful and clean structure, close to both Riolunato and Le Polle, located in the middle of the greenery, the hostess and husband are really kind and courteous, super breakfast, room with bathroom really nice. I had a great time! The only thing is the village bells that also mark the time at night! Highly recommended.

Location, welcome, availability were the most striking and immediate elements of the stay at Il Seccatoio. Maria Rosa and her husband are high-level guests. Their breakfasts are excellent and they have been able to respond to our needs. We will come back and highly recommend it for short and long stays.

Very pleasant 3-day stay, Mrs. Mariarosa always ready to give advice on walks to do and places to visit, excellent breakfast with a superb cake made with chestnut flour (and more), in short, we had a great time, highly recommend it.
