Description
B&B il Gruccione is located 2 km South of San Secondo Parmense. Built in the middle of the countryside, is just next to the Taro river bank, where relax can be found through beautilul walk in the middle of Nature. From April to May the Gruccione (Bee Eater) nests in this area, digging tunnel-nest into the clayish river bank.
The construction works of the building have recently been finished. The whole facility is thus completely new and it is equipped with elevator, the rooms are bright and comfortable. The original circular shape overlooks the beautiful garden rich of trees, flowerbeds, and several relaxing spot.
Paolo, Liliana, and Patrizia will be glad to welcome you together with Bovary and Otto, our four-legged friends.

Breakfast
Breakfast is undoubtedly one of the highlights of our B&B. We are passionate about good food and typical-traditional products. Additionally, we are located in what is considered the Italian food valley.
In the morning, we offer two types of breakfast:
- The sweet breakfast: with homemade cakes, especially the plum jam tart and the orange loaf cake. But also ricotta and chocolate cake, lemon cream tart, and apple cake. Additionally, yogurt, muesli, jams, fresh bread, and seasonal fruit.
- The farmer's breakfast: with Parmesan cheese and cold cuts from our local area: ham, cooked shoulder, culatello, coppa, and fiocchetto.
Fruit juices, tea, coffee, cappuccino, and barley coffee are also available.

My name is Patrizia and I work in the B&B with my parents Paolo and Liliana. I am the youngest of three brothers and all the members of our family have always shared conviviality spirit. Our house has always been full of friends and we usually organize dinners and lunches. We like to meet new people and share the values of hospitality and good food. We have always lived in the countryside and the B&B perfectly reflects our passion for the green and nature. In addition to the management of the B&B I deal with creative writing. I'm an author. I write theatrical dramas, texts for television formats, children's tales. Also I am a singer and I play in a theater company. I love traveling. I did the camino of Santiago twice, all by myself. But the most creative and rewarding experience of all is the constant interrelation and exchange with people.. so we are waiting for you!

Great bed and breakfast, very clean, tastefully decorated, modern. The breakfast is abundant, varied to suit all tastes. Good location to see the city and nearby villages, quiet and surrounded by greenery. I recommend it to everyone.

Il B&B è bellissimo! La struttura completamente nuova è stupenda, la camera (azzurra) molto spaziosa ben arredata con anche un piccolo terrazzino e ogni confort. I bagni sono nuovi e pulitissimi, i gestori gentilissimi e disponibili nel soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. La colazione buonissima ed abbondante con la possibilità di scegliere sia dolce che salato. Intorno ala casa c'è un bellissimo giardino. Un posto molto bello da tutti i punti di vista! peccato esserci restati solo per una notte!
