Description
The B&B Il Gruccione is located 2 kilometers from San Secondo Parmense. Nestled in the countryside, it is situated just a few hundred meters from the bank of the Taro River, where visitors can unwind with pleasant and refreshing walks. Between April and May, the Bee-eater bird nests here, creating nesting tunnels in the clay banks of the river.
The construction of the complex has recently been completed.
As a result, B&B Il Gruccione is a new establishment, equipped with an elevator and featuring bright, comfortable areas.
Its unique circular shape overlooks a spacious garden filled with trees, flower beds, and numerous relaxation spots.

Breakfast is undoubtedly one of the highlights of our B&B. We have a passion for good cooking and traditional local products, and we are situated in what is considered the Italian food valley.
In the morning, we offer:
- A breakfast featuring homemade cakes, particularly the plum jam tart and the orange pound cake. We also serve ricotta and chocolate cake, lemon cream tart, and apple pie. Additionally, there are yogurt, muesli, jams, fresh bread, seasonal fruit, and eggs!
We provide fruit juices, tea, coffee, cappuccino, and barley coffee.

My name is Patrizia, and I run the B&B Il Gruccione with my parents, Paolo and Liliana.
I am the youngest of three siblings, and our family has always shared a love for fun and socializing. Our home has always been filled with friends, with whom we would host dinners and lunches. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing the values of hospitality and good food.
We have always lived in the countryside, and the B&B perfectly reflects our passion for greenery and nature.
In addition to managing the B&B, I am involved in creative writing. I am an author and write theatrical scripts, television format texts, and children's stories.
I am also a singer-songwriter and perform with a theater company. I love traveling and have a special passion for the Camino de Santiago, which I have completed entirely twice, solo.
However, the most creative and fulfilling experience of all is the ongoing interaction and exchange with people.

The B&B is beautiful! The completely new structure is stunning, the room (blue) is very spacious and well furnished with a small terrace and every comfort. The bathrooms are new and very clean, the managers are very kind and available to meet all our requests. The breakfast is very good and abundant with the possibility to choose both sweet and savory. Around the house there is a beautiful garden. A very nice place from all points of view! It's a pity we only stayed for one night.
